Sounds like fun! We went today to the orchard and ended up with 70 lbs of apples. Embarrassment I'm too tired and sore from the mountain climbing to bake, but it is on tomorrow. Big Grin

70 lbs.?! Wowza!! $2/lb. here....I didn't think that was anything too special so we just go enough for a couple wks....then I forgot to pick up some Mountain Dew for the crescent thingies - but I will be in town today and the gas station carries it too if all else fails Smilie

It was so warm here yesterday that we all got apple "slushies" to drink instead of apple cider laugh out loud It had to be over 70, normal is probably low to mid 60's? Oh well, enjoying the warm-ish weather while it lasts!

just shoot me now and get me out of my computer problems I've been dealing with since 8:34 central this morning...

terrible when I don't know squat about computers.

OpenCloud AV was the fake, but now IE just freezes, I can't delete a window (or session) and end up unplugging the whole computer and rebooting Covereyes

I've also got a funky process... just numbers that I can't kill.

So there's an imaginary Ralph? laugh out loud OK!

Do you have problems in other browsers? maybe try uninstalling IE and reloading it?

Hi creatures and bunnies Worthy

I have been busy and not shopping as much. Not even looking at the deals and pretending I will be shopping as much....

Anyway - I saw Office Depot has Kcups with 100% rewards this week - and thought of my chit chat buddies.

Thread HERE

It is pretty easy to turn OD rewards back into cash with the Free After Mail In Rebate software purchases. It just takes awhile. Rewards will post in first quarter of 2012. Then you have to buy the software and wait for the rebates. BUT - if you have the money to put out up front, and don't mind waiting a while (and doing a little bit of work to get it back) - you can get lots of ultimately free coffee this week.

Did you fix your computer yet? Hopefully it's as simple as following the removal process:

Remove OpenCloud Security (Uninstall Guide)
[bleepingcomputer.com]

I hadn't heard of OpenCloud, it seems to be just like the rampant Security Tools type malware. I've had to clean them off several machines before and they are really a pain.

If you can get RKill and Malwarebytes downloaded on a flash drive and transfer them to your infected machine, you should be able to get the scan done in safe mode.

Good luck!

afternoon all. long day yesterday.

after checking out at the hotel we went to target Sly to pick up a drink for the road and kill a little time till lunch. bought the only pair of large size capri leggings, finally found the neutrogena bars in stock so got 2, took a look at the transformer dark of the moon autobots, found a connect 4 travel game, tuna purina whisker lickins seems to also be beepless and bought 6 composition books for .10 at 75% off for bff in case she wants them.

stopped at frank pepe's in new haven ct to eat the white clam pizza and had to wait on a line even though it was 2pm but it moved relatively quickly b/c it's pizza after all. it should have been called the white garlic foccacia w/ clams. lotsa garlic! i think i would have preferred a tomato and mozzarella pie w/ some toppings. they are famous for the white clam pizza but i actually didn't see anybody else eating it.

then stopped at christmas tree shoppes (very cheap discount dept store now owned by bbb that sells lots of cute cheap seasonal items and home decor and also overstock from target, walmart, etc) and it was incredibly packed! bought maple flavored and lemon flavored pizzelles b/c they don't sell those flavors at costco. a cute fold-up stool that came in cute colors, cheap quality but when i saw it at walmart i think it only came in black and was twice the price. a cheap pack of wooden spoons b/c i'm pretty sure i will end up babysitting bff's kids twice a wk for the month b4 thanksgiving and will end up cooking dinner and last yr she didn't have a nice long wooden spoon to stir the pasta.

then detoured to meet my family for dinner to celebrate my brother's birthday.

stopped at target to kill a little time but we got lost so only had about 10 minutes. only xs leggings left and no good clearance. saw the travel perfection game but no coupon for it.

then saw a special free midnite showing of *bad teacher* w/ cameron diaz and justin timberlake (weird how the ex's were cast in a movie together) to promote the release of the dvd. there were only 8 people in the whole theatre even though it was a free movie and i know why. it was an incredibly bad movie! i recently saw anderson cooper say on his new talk show that he has a policy to walk out of bad movies b/c why should he waste his time and i could totally understand his point of view. i considered walking out of that movie but there are some times you want to see just how bad it could possibly be and how really successful people like cameron diaz and justin timberlake can also make bad choices.

hope you were able to get fix the problems. i hate when that happens. dh is no help b/c he doesn't even realize when there is a problem. ummm, when new tabs keep opening for no reason, there's a problem!

that's a lot of apples! but if you have a big family that might not be enough. i picked about 30lbs and gave away about 10lbs to bff. she and her 4 small kids and her parents ate most of it in less than a wk.

them's expensive apples. i think ours was 1.39/lb and apples are ranging from .99 to 1.49 in the supermarket.

it was very humid the day we went so we were sweating. but i loved that summer seemed to last a couple wks longer. when it wasn't raining! but this wk looks to finally be fall-like. planning to go apple picking again next sunday w/ bff and kids.

creatures, for those of you who use method or want to, there's a killer deal for it online.

$25 for $40 of method products at soap.com... but the daily deal site that has that voucher has a 40% referral discount, so becomes 15 for 40. and then soap has a 20% discount code. so 15 for 48 and free shipping.

cvs has a good deal on bounty this week...

7.49, get 10 ecb wyb $30 in p& g products.

don't have to do it all in one transaction, so in theory if there are other things you need you could break it up and make the deal even better.

but if not...

buy 4... 29.96
use a 4/20
use 1/1 bounty mqs...

pay 22, get 10. if you have any ecbs to roll, even better.
actually, go online and do the cvs do not trash ecbs pledge. they'll email you a $2 ecb.
so you'll pay 20, get 10.

It's definitely alot of apples. laugh out loud The pick your own price is $1.19 and these apples are incredible, especially compared to the supermarket quality. Some of the apples (mostly Jonagolds) were 1 lb each! OMG It was very easy to get to 70 lbs. Our friends got 80 lbs. Since we have 3 kids, I'll be making lots of apple goodies. Today, I made apple butter and applesauce, that took care of about 10 lbs. Tomorrow, it's apple muffins and apple crumb pie that I'm bringing to a group, so it will be demolished. I'm making apple pies for the freezer and also something apple based for MOPS on Friday. On the list is that delish sounding Mountain Dew apple dish. Maybe for playgroup tomorrow! drool I love to cook, so this is heaven for me.

We're also canning. My DH canned his yummy habanero hot sauce today, we grew those in the garden this summer. We are adding this to the Christmas baskets this year, along with my apple butter. I'm about to pick the last of the tomatoes to roast and create a tomato soup. Fall makes me want to bake and cook.
