And you make fun of me because I don't like poultry, fish, or most vegetables? Ohhhh, how I've been waiting for this day! LMAO
the difference between you and me is you don't like whole categories w/ a few exceptions, like you don't like veggies except green beans, iirc. i like most stuff w/ a few exceptions and usually there is an alternative. and if you put it in front of me i'll eat it and no gag reflex. i'll even eat a few pieces of liver and i really, really, really don't like liver. but i don't have any problem eating intestine, pancreas and other internal organs.

for instance i don't really like hazelnuts but i love pecans and then walnuts are second favorite and then almonds. i used to buy those plastic boxes of pecans and walnuts at the produce stores and delis and eat them straight out of the box until i found it makes my skin very tough and my pimples stay forever. cut back on the nuts and pimples come and go. pecan pie is one of my favorite but since it's mostly sugar i very rarely eat it Down i absolutely love marzipan but again it's a lot of sugar so i rarely eat it.

i don't like sun-dried tomatoes but i will eat them but i prefer them any other way but sun-dried. dh doesn't really like tomato sauce but i make tomato pasta regularly for the lycopenes and he eats it.

i'm not a big fan of chocolate Hide but i've been buying slickdeals and trying to eat it b4 the expiration date for the antioxidants. i actually prefer dark choco over milk so i can say i'm eating it for the antioxidants w/ a straight face. so far i prefer 50% cocoa. since nutella is hazelnuts and choco, i would never actually pay money for it.

not a big fan of beans so i don't buy them but i'll eat them if you put them in front of me b/c i know they are good for me. same w/ lentils. i maybe would buy them if dh would eat them but he won't touch them unless they are mush like refried or red bean paste but that's in pastries and loaded w/ sugar.

i actually do eat chinese preserved olives but that's more like eating dried fruit or even candy so i haven't bought it in a long time. i used to do that when i had a colleague who used to steal snacks from people's desk drawers after hours. never took my stuff! Teehee!

but i'll put myself out there so you don't think i'm a goody two shoes and eat everything that's healthy for me. i prefer not to eat but i will to be polite-
celery
liver
capers
wet olives
sun dried tomatoes (tastes like a giant raisin to me and do not like the combo w/ pasta)
black beans
goat cheese
blue cheeses (i will eat blue cheese dressing w/ buffalo chicken wings but only b/c i don't have a choice if i want to eat the wings)
anchovies
sardines (i'll eat canned fried dace including the bones which i need to go buy)
chinese salted fish (it's really salty and smelly)
chinese bitter melon (it's really bitter. i need to try the indian version. maybe it's not so bitter.)
thousand yr old eggs (taste like nasty chemicals)
fresh papaya in the US
and some other stuff that doesn't come to mind right now

what happens is dh refuses to eat way more stuff than me so we end up not eating a lot more stuff. he doesn't like raisins so no cinnamon raisin bread b/c i can't eat a whole loaf by myself. he won't eat carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, beans, meatloaf, chili, spaghetti squash, sugar snap peas, etc. so as you can see, that poses a problem w/ frozen veggies b/c there are carrots in almost all of them. but i don't eliminate carrots altogether, he will just pick them out when they are on his plate.

but sometimes being complimentary works out really well. one time i was on a plane w/ my friend and we were served chicken w/ carrots and celery. she liked white meat, i like dark, she liked celery, i eat carrots (i won't say i like them, i just know they are good for me and i should eat them periodically so i buy baby carrots sometimes). so it really worked out well, she got all the white meat and celery, i took all the dark meat and carrots.

so gt, if we ever ate out together, you could just give me all the stuff off your plate that you don't like so i'll have more veggies, and i'll give you some of my entree so i'll be eating less meat and i think we'd both be pretty happy about our meal.

nikayla, i think my tastes are more similar to yours. i don't like olives either but I'll eat them just as long as there aren't too many of them.

i don't like blue cheese but I'm not afraid to try almost anything. i probably draw the line at bugs and brains too, but brains b/c of mad cow disease more than anything else. I'll eat sweetbreads, blood pudding (although i do not like liver at all).

I'm pretty adventurous compared to most people when it comes to food. at the same time I'll eat stuff when it's not really all that good but i won't choose to do it again. one time i ate a target sd betty crocker teriyaki bowl that was so gross i should have just tossed it. i think i have it so ingrained in me to not waste food that as long as it's not spoiled and doesn't cause me to gag i eat it.

i like to watch andrew zimmermans' bizarre foods on the travel channel. so interesting to see what people eat around the world. but i have to say, some of that stuff is really novelties and not what people eat normally.
High Five I don't bother picking the olives off pizza, unless there are a whole lot of them, then I take some off. I bet olives like GG was talking about would taste better. We definitely have the quantity of food available here in the US, to bad it's not all of a better quality. My dream house is probably more suited for dreams, not sure if it could even be built. It would be basically like living in a huge green house full of all kinds of fruits and veggies.
And most of those bizarre foods EEK! I agree novelties. I'm not going to go around just trying crazy novelties food stuff, I just like to try new to me authentic dishes, that are normal type food. I love tasting new spices, gives me inspiration to cook with more flavor.

I am in PA. I ordered jeans....they charged me tax on the jeans.
I complained on FB and they said they can charge tax on clothing/jeans in pa.
imo you should be complaining to customer service, not facebook b/c they can't fix it on facebook. gave yourself an extra step. but here is the link to the PA retail tax code page you will need to look it up on. remember, google is your friend. i searched *pennsylvania sales tax exemptions*

http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/sales%2C_use___hotel_occupancy_tax/14487

i will leave it to you to figure out what the *most clothing* means here-
Major items exempt from the tax include food (not ready-to-eat); candy and gum; most clothing; textbooks; computer services; pharmaceutical drugs; sales for resale; and residential heating fuels such as oil, electricity, gas, coal and firewood.

you will need to go thru this publication to see if jeans are on the taxable list. sorry, link won't copy but the pdf is on the above page i linked.
See the Retailers' Information Guide (REV-717) for a list of taxable items.

if you are correct, you can quote the tax code to them on facebook from the pa govt website and show everyone they are talking out of their arse as usual.

good luck! pls link here so we can enjoy you rubbing their face in it. we love entertainment!

Oh I spent 45mins on hold yesterday. That was more than enough time I was willing to waste on the phone. What I love is they have a 30min window to cancel an order and since I was on hold for 45mins it was too late. I went to FB to have something in writing b/c I sent 3 contact forms which you can't get a copy and still no reply. I woke up today with a confirmation on shipping.

Yep those are the links I had already looked at and posted on their wall.

Oddly denim/jeans isn't listed on the pdf.

they only listed some examples that they thought people might be confused about.

page 7-
8. TAX EXEMPT SALES (72 P.S. §7204)
The following sales are not subject to tax:
Wearing apparel, except formal apparel, sporting goods and clothing
and real or imitation fur articles

page 14-
Generally, clothing is nontaxable except the following: (1) Formal day or
evening apparel; (2) Articles made of real, imitation or synthetic fur,
where the fur is more than three times the value of the next most valuable
component material; and (3) Sporting goods and clothing normally
worn or used when engaged in sports (See Category 23).

and then the list are examples.

how the heck does anyone see what you post on their wall???

Happybday GT, and also for HD's hubby! Happybday

Went to the movies tonight and saw 50/50, it was really good. It's more a serious drama with comedy, the trailers make it seem like a dumb comedy, but it's far from that. Seth Rogan is hilarious and Joseph Gordon Levitt played his part so well. Then we went to a new martini bar for a drink, I love movie nights with my gal pal!
