got a bad headache from staying up too late too many nights in a row.
went to a store on thursday looking for halloween clearance and didn't find anything good.
went last nite to the very well-maintained store and didn't find anything either except 2 glow in the dark necklace packs that somebody left in the halloween section that was from purple dot. otherwise could not find any purple dot in that store. weird.
i thought i saw the diet thread yesterday. having a hard time keeping up w/ everything this wk so i haven't checked in awhile. i just wish they would make some announcement b4 they make changes. this whole process is just so irritating. it's so unprofessional. wasn't there a huge brouhaha when facebook did some update and what people thought was private became public and some teacher got fired b/c her comments about her students became public? wait till all the stalkers come out here. msgal was complaining about somebody in printables a couple wks ago. now it's gonna be so much worse.

this is all a lot of unnecessary work that they are putting us through.
when they make changes it should be that you continue as you are or opt into the new changes. not unknowingly have them made for you and then you find out about them from chatter and then have to go in and opt out.

I'll be really sad if they salvage everything at 70% off. I don't buy too much at 70% but at least I got in a few good years with 90% off. If regular stuff doesn't go to 75% off - I'll be even sadder... and shopping a lot less at Target... I guess I'll be getting clothes at Kohls instead.

Actually things have been better here...not perfect, but better. And I think there are just way more couponers out in general, not necessarily the results of one individual and she has been pre-ordering a ton.

here goes:
To keep anything from showing up in your activity stream:
on the top right of the page, move your mouse to the extreme right on the blue bar, where it says "my account"
hover your mouse over "my account" but do not click
a drop down menu will appear.
click on the very last choice on the list - settings and options
on the settings and options page, scroll down to the activity stream section
check boxes for every activity you do not want in your public stream
scroll further down and click "save changes"
now your activities will no longer be recorded in the public stream. however the activities that are already there before you made these changes will still be there until you delete those manually.
to delete the activities that are showing in your stream from before you made the settings changes:
scroll back up on the settings page, and look to the grey box on the left.
click on the line that says "public profile"
then hover your mouse over the first item in the activity stream
an X will appear on the right
click on the x, and it will delete that item
rinse, repeat for each activity on the stream, until the stream is empty.
done, it shall be empty going forward.
Friends:
I posted on the UserCP Thread yesterday about the friends issue
a member of the SD tech team wrote back a few hours later saying they were looking into it
then again a few hours later saying it was a bug in the system, and they had fixed it, so those who had their privacy settings to hide friends still had their friends list hidden.
hmm.
I had already deleted my friends and contacts list by then, so couldn't tell.
who's online right now? I can send a friend request to one of you. once you accept, we can check if my list is visible to a non-friend.
i will go check my settings right now to make sure friends are not supposed to show on settings (don't even know where that is).
frustrating. i really just want to go about my business without doing all this inside baseball settings crap. i don't think Sd understands that - this has eaten my time the past few days, and it really is beginning to irritate me, as good-humored as i try to be about it.
