Is anyone planning to do the Walgreen's deals for Thanksgiving/BF/Sat..3day sale? I am working on a few transactions that I would like to run by someone to double check them. I am concentrating on the moneymakers, that I have q's for. So only a select amont of the products out of the many many they have RR for. If you would like a few transaction scenarios to roll back and forth between, I think I may have a couple figured out. LMK
I might. I have no plans for Thanksgiving (we're doing something over the weekend due to a few issues). So I might hit up the places that are open on TG and see what stuff I can get for free/ little cost. How sad/SD like is that?LMAO

Price adjust doesn't work at either store here in Huntsville for Black Friday. I learned THAT hard lesson last BF. Off to find out how much the DC25 Multi-floor will be on BF... ETA: saves me $20. So much for the "lowest price of the season" when I bought it.

Morning!
Maybe you can rebuy and then return??

TN- did you PM Gt about the new diet group? I am about to head over there and post..

And, I was excited tonight and wanted to share with someone else who may understand.. Wasn't it you before who complained about the lack of SF creamer choices?? Anyway, I got so excited tonight when I was at Kroger cause I found SF peppermint mocha creamer woot I was doing the happy dance right there in the store. DH thought I was crazy. I love the holiday flavors but don't like the
extra calories..
And, Coffeemate does make SF hazelnut.. I saw it tonight nod

Has anyone else's "first unread" button been acting up? I always click on the thread, and then click on that button, and it used to bring me to where I had left off reading. Now when I click it, it brings me to the newest post since I was reading, which is not necessarily where I left off. Very frustrating, because then I have to go back and search to find where I left off.
I haven't really noticed any problems shake head

mine does that all the time. i always scroll back at least a post or 2 every single time to make sure i didn't miss anything. times the target deal thread, chitchat thread, walmart thread, cvs clearance thread, whole food thread, shoprite thread, feedback thread, healthy thread. any wonder why i'm more than a little perturbed by all the changes and bugs here? i think it's particularly bad in deals b/c that thread is so active. i think i had to go back about 10 posts in deals at one point yesterday.

It's good to see you posting again.Big Grin

I guess the Comcast isn't too bad. I've always had them for the most part. I've never had problems with the service just the freaking cost. They never seem to be very affordable and I never seem to qualify for whatever special they advertise. For instance right now they advertise $99/mo for cable, internet and home phone. But we really don't want or need the home phone so we have internet and about 100 channels of HD TV. No dvr because we have our own. It works out to $80 a month. Now I realize that we do pay a small ($10) premium for the HD and that there's a ridiculous amount of tax on the bill but that just seems crazy.
Thanks! Big Grin Comcast used to be fine, then we had renters who stopped paying and we all got disconnected. Now that we have them again it has been nothing but problems so far for two months. And they are to expensive, always have been Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Hopefully we will have better options soon, who knows we just may move sooner than later. Right now Henerson, NV, Phoenix, AZ, or CA are all options we are thinking of.

I was wondering what is going on the same thing is happening to me. I thought maybe I was just confused at first but it is exactly as you describe.

Ok here goes with the WG's plan:
(I am starting with several $10 estroven RR's, which I realize not everyone has the same)

Transaction #1:
1- Crest 3D TP $2.50- $1mq= $1.50
1- Prep. H $2.75-$2mq= .75
1- Colgate Total TP $3.00-$1mq=$2.00
1- Culturelle $9.50-$3mq= $6.50
2- Gillette Fusion skin care $7.50-$4mq=$3.50
1-Venus Proskin razor $8.24-$2mq=$6.24
2-filler (gift bags are .13, however I may use the papertowels .39ea) .78
Total $21.27 (w/papertowels) (before tax but I am taxed AC!!)
- $20rr (2x $10 estroven RR)
$1.27 oop (plus tax)....Receive $26 RR back.

Transaction #2: (using same mq as ones above)
1- Crest 3D TP
1- Prep H
1- Colgate Total
1- Culturelle
2- filler items (again i plan PT).78
Total = $11.53 (would be cheaper w/ gift bags as fillers)
use $5.50 and $5.25 RR from transaction #1 (fusion/venus RR's)
Pay .78 plus tax...Get $17.75 back in RR

Transaction #3:
2-Fusion skincare
1-Venus razor
1-Crest 3D
1- Prep H
1- 4ct Advil .99
1-filler item (PT .39)
total $13.37- $12.50RR= .87 OOP (plus tax)
Using $9.50 and $3.00 RR from transaction #1 (culturelle/Colgate)
Get back $17.00 in RR.

You should be able to keep rolling between transaction #2 and #3. I picked the papertowels as a filler cause I wanted something that would get used. I don't have any use for that many giftsacks but may get a few for my sisters daycare.
These are some of the things that I wanted to stock up on and are MM's. Which is the only reason I do walgreens. LOL I will do as many of these transactions as I have cpns for. Then I will go do a few transactions to pick up some of the items that are just free after RR. My main goal was to rack up as many MM RR's as possible. Last year I used all the RR I accumulated to buy 2 blu-ray players and some groceries. Not sure what I am getting this year but I do have some VERY friendly WG's..and I am going to Disney next year..sooo?? LOL
Please let me know if you need any other info about these transactions. Thanks.

Wanted to add that I am doing transaction #1 4x's, then doing #2 and #3 4xs each as well. I have about 4 stores to do these at. This is just my plan for Thursday morning (before my teens even get out of bed LOL). My final totals for Thursday will be $21.40 oop (getting all Papertowels) plus tax (shouldn't be much) and will end up with $206 in RR!! Now I just hope it all goes according to plans! I will be talking to a couple of the managers to make sure they will be getting plenty of these items in.

never been to henderson. phoenix is nice but hot! it is a dry heat so not as bad as florida. we were there in the summer and many people were wearing long sleeves, not sure if it was for the air conditioning, protection from the sun or what. didn't the real estate market go bust in phoenix? if you are careful to not have to many foreclosures nearby, you could probably get a good deal. i would love to live in san diego. northern CA is too damp and chilly most of the time for me and the traffic in LA is horrendous. valley is too hot.

you guys should post your problem (ie. complain) in the feedback thread. link is in my siggy. i'm not in the mood to fight the fight.

After I had a cup of coffee and screwed my deal thinking cap on I went and looked. First of all I don't like how they've arranged the BF stuff. Why is it different that the regular drugstore forum?

Anyhow. I don't see any holes in your theory so far. Although I don't have all the coupons you have so I cannot check all your exp. dates. I do see a deal or two you might be missing. And if I have coupons for it you probably do too. There's Ecotrin for 99 cents. I have a $1.50 coupon (exp 12/31/11) that would be good. So you could make 51 cents if you have that. I stopped cutting out Oral-B coupons because I have enough toothbrushes for a small country but those are usually pretty plentiful. You'd just need it to be off one toothbrush instead of something like $1off 2.

Also as a warning to anyone who might want to duplicate your ideas. There were Colgate coupons in this past week's inserts that are for $1 that exp12/3/11. But be careful there is an older one for 50 cents that expires THIS weekend (11/19/11). So that one won't be any good on BF. I know I purge my coupon folder monthly and sometime mid-month exp dates goof me up.

yea there are so many deals for at least free that it is hard to fit them all in. So I just started with the MM that I had q's for. I am also making a list for some stuff that is free or a good deal that I actually use/need and will do those in the end too. My main focus first was trying to get as many rewards as possible. Then I can go back and use those RR to get all 'my' stuff free. I mainly need to look thru the list to find the things that I NEED/will use that I could spend some RR to get. Like the EOS shave gel, my DD uses that, so would spend some RR to get it. And there are a few things that I only have 2 or 3 cpns for so I will do those things in the end too. I just hope my stores are fully stocked, which is why I will give them an idea of what cpners will be after. lol

One of the stores are limiting RR deals to 2 per customer per day. But I have my wonderful DH with me and he does a couple transactions at each store, so doesn't seem like I am doing so many myself. Then I have one store that will spend hours doing transactions for you if you want (I don't have the patience for that though LOL) so will do whatever I can't get at the other ones there.

All of this is only good if the stores are being friendly and well stocked. We don't really have any plans for the Holiday weekend. Will be fixing dinner for just us and kids Thanksgiving afternoon, and then they will probably be doing whatever it is teens/young adults do the rest of the time. Probably make some time for some board games or a movie night. But other than that DH and I usually just sit around and be bored so might as well be shopping. LOL I always wondered what it would be like when our kids were older and well...now I know. We do alot of stuff together still (at least 4 nights a week) but for the most part, it is just DH and I. And sometimes I am sad they are growing up but then there are days I am happy we can just go/do what we want. LOL

I have similar experiences. I have one store that wants me to go to the cosmetics register (after I've already done one transaction and unloaded my cart onto the counter even if there's no one behind me in line). Once I have unloaded my stuff I refuse to put it all back into the cart and go unload it again. I've walked out of this store several times and the mgr knows my face. And then right down the street-literally 2 miles they let me do as many transactions as I want to the point where when they see me they ask if I want them to open another register. I don't understand why some are so accommodating and some are not. I've never cleared the shelves at either one.

Rebuy return is the plan right now on the Dyson (as it's $20)... I just have to check to see if the receipt will still be within return timeframe.
Yep, I PM'd GT, but haven't had time to get a login, password setup.

For those who shop Whole Foods, with coupons, on a regular basis, are they generally friendly towards couponers? I've only shopped there once, with coupons, to use my groupon voucher, but I am thinking about going tomorrow to get some of the great deals there. Only thing is, since its a 20-30 minute drive for me, I need to make it worth my while. Any input? If it were Safeway, I'd have no problem getting multiples of items, but I guess I'm intimidated by this store. laugh out loud

Had a fairly productive day today. Got my son another uniform for school, since you could see his socks due to his pants being so short. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Teehee Paid $43.xx for a pair of pants and an embroidered polo. vomit No slick deals on uniforms, unfortunately. Also stopped in real quick at Trader Joe's since it was in the same shopping center. Grabbed a few goodies, including a 2-lb bag of Honey Crisp apples for 2.99 (they were small apples, but perfect for little ones), a 4-pack of avocados for 2.99, semi-sweet chocolate chips for 2.29 (I so heart their chocolate chips), and fruit leathers for me and the little one.

Then on to a ginormous thrift store for their 25% off Monday sale. Got some great items for my kids. Their fall wardrobe is sadly lacking, all three of them, so this definitely helped a bunch. I love this store because all the rich people donate their barely used items, and then I snatch it up for pennies on the dollar. laugh out loud

Then a stop at the Asian market right next door to the thrift store. Scored a pineapple for 2.99, fresh green beans at 1.29/lb, a cauliflower for 2.49, 3-lb bag of onions for 1.99, plus a couple other things I can't remember. My daughter and I stuck out anyway, but everyone was stopping to smile and make faces at her. I do have to say she is quite possibly the cutest 2-year-old I know, so I don't blame them. laugh out loud

Then on to Wal-Mart where I used up my Minute Maid $2/1 juice box coupon, got them for .98/ea. Not sure if that's the best deal, but I wanted to make sure I used the coupon before it expired, and that's definitely better than full price! Also used my $1/1 Tai-Pei frozen entree. They were all 1.97, so only .97/ea for yummy lunches.

And that's just my shopping! Big Grin

So how was everyone else's day?

It's a chit chat thread. We're not the "official" Target thread. Sometimes we go off on tangents. Usually we come back sooner or later.

Well, the good news is that this is a CHAT room where discussion about anything is perfectly acceptable. If you want Target discussion only, you want to go to the Target Deals thread. Good luck and wave.
