I know there are several Keurig owners here and I was wondering if anyone could recommend which model to get? Buying for sis and family for xmas, three coffee drinkers in that house. I don't drink coffee so I'm lost laugh out loud Thanks
I have the one with no LED screen and love it. Only 2 cup sizes, but that's perfect for me, as I'm the only coffee drinker. The reservoir is big enough that I don't have to constantly be refilling it.

That was one of my considerations but it seems the ones I like all have 48 oz reservoirs.

If there are 3 coffee drinkers in the house I wouldn't suggest the Keurig, only because it will cost a small fortune to keep up with the quantity of coffee consumed. 3 people x 7 days (if they only drink 1 cup a day) = 21 cups minimum per week which is approximately 1.3 boxes of kcups per week. At around $11-12 per box that will add up fast! You could get them the refillable insert to make it cost effective.

I would recommend the B60. Love it.

I have the b60 and love it as well.

I *like* my LCD screen but definitely don't think it's a necessity. The two things I would most consider are how many cup sizes it will do (personally I'd opt for the 3 different ones...reason being each cup ends up a different strength and everyone likes their coffee a different way Smilie) and with 3 ppl I would also get one with a decent reservoir...otherwise they will be refilling a lot. I feel like we refill it a ton with just dh and I (dh is a heavy coffee drinker though.) Also, some models aren't compatible with the refillable cups (like the Solofill or Ekobrew.) I'd try to get one that was. I don't know if anyone has the MyKCup here but I've heard the coffee from that is weak and tastes horrible laugh out loud DH and I have the Solofill and do like that...my mom has tried both Solofill and Ekobrew and prefers the EkoBrew only because it sits flat on the countertop to fill. They do make a good (and cheaper than a k-cup) cup of coffee if you get a "better" coffee to begin with. DH and I really like the Seattle's Best level 5 in the Solofill yummy

Speaking of Keurig, I just LOVE the new Barista Prima flavors! Did most of you get the 4-pack sampler freebie yet? I've tried all but the French Roast, and they are strong, bold, and smooth tasting. I'm debating whether to try and register my machine (again) or just use a Bed Bath & Beyond $10/40 coupon and stock up.

Since I'll be buying the kcups I'll be on the hunt for deals now. I figure I'll be shelling out around $50 a month unless I find some stellar deals. I will get the refill for sure when times are lean Big Grin

I have the MyKCup filter, and I actually like it. Granted, I have always used premium coffee with it, but it has always brewed a great cup (and I am fairly picky). I have used Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts and coffee straight from Hawaii and have always been very happy with it.

My church has the model that has 5 different cup sizes and has the screen and I have to say its not any better than mine. Its nice and shiny looking (Teehee), but the coffee doesn't taste any better. shake head Of course, my motto is always the more doo-dads and special effects a machine has, the more likely it is to break down, so that might cloud my judgment a little. laugh out loud

I got the freebie, too, and I LOVED them! Made a great cup of coffee. I haven't noticed them yet at my Target, but I'll definitely be getting some of those.

I will have to look up the thread for registering the Keurig machine. I haven't done it yet, but would love to stock up on some coffee. How many Kcups do you end up with?

And gt, where are you? Did you get lost in your daughter's renovation? Sucked into the vortex? Big Grin

I agree with the B60 or 70.. I had the B40 to start with.. No LCD but had 2 cup sizes.. Used it for a year and then DH upgraded me to the B70 this past birthday.. It does 5 cup sizes which I love and has a bigger water tank.. Plus, I have to admit, I do like how shiny and pretty it is Teehee

When you register your machine you get an email coupon for b2g2 boxes, plus 10-15% off their "retail price" plus free shipping. I usually get 4 boxes (larger boxes than the store.. these are 22-24 count) shipped to my door for under 30.00 Smilie

I love my Keurig and I drink 2-3 cups of coffee a day. With deals and coupons I don't feel like it is that big of an expense for the kcups.. It is for sure cheaper than the days when I used to go to starbucks and dunkin donuts for coffee..

I haven't personally tried the solofill thingy cause I am too lazy Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) that is what I like about the keurig.. the ease of just popping a kcup in and not messing with anything else. For me personally, if I had to fill the thing and clean it, then it wouldn't be as appealing to me. But, that is just my .02. I got my inlaws one for Christmas.. I bought the B60 for them on a Kohls deal for about 85.00. They drink alot of coffee and I know won't keep up with the expense of kcups, so I am planning on getting them the solofill and/or keeping them stocked up on kcups..

Speaking of prices... I saw that they have the swiss miss cocoa kcups now.. wow, those things were 12.49 for a box of 10 EEK! at publix.. I told DH he could just make himself a cup of hot chocolate with a swiss miss packet and hot water from my Keurig laugh out loud

Thanks much! That is definitely an awesome deal, and I will do that. I like having a supply of Kcups, for sure. As far as the filter is concerned, my MIL told me it was just like brewing coffee in a regular pot, except there's no waste because its only one cup. Once I realized that, it didn't seem as difficult or bothersome as before. Plus, considering I had (still have!) bags of yummy coffee in my pantry that would otherwise go to waste, it was fairly easy to get used to doing it.

I saw 16 or 18 packs at Kohls today, on sale (!), for 17.99. A $1/cup??? Not even close to being a buy price for me. shake head I love my Keurig, but it does not brew a cup of coffee worth that much.

DH really liked the Barista Prima flavors too. We saw them at Kohls but they were around $18 box, as were the Starbucks flavors. I went with some of the old flavor kcups because they were only $11.xx box.
I have the B60 and really like it. But I agree that I probably would like the other models just as well. In the end they all do the same and that is make a great cup of coffee. The one thing that I do love about mine is that it brews a larger cup so DH can fill his to-go work mug without having to brew 2 times. But that also would depend on how strong you want your coffee, he can brew a large with one kcup and be fine with it.
I have to confess that I have been cheating on my keurig and using my Tassimo more lately. Those darn carmel cappuccinos with the SF vanilla syrup and whip cream are so addictive.

Good morning all....wave
yes, couldn't sleep even after a little moscato Cheers

Life is keeping me busy with my sil & her little one (yeah, she came back, coz she is unwell)... I am not shopping much, all too many chores...
Dad is not feeling well, his heart is acting up, praying for his recovery, mom alone handling all the stuffs.. Legal stuff with my late sis's daughter's custody case is not in our favor and this is literally killing us... I am totally unable to sleep.... If at all i sleep and wake up in between, then sleep is gone...

I am acting up too stressed and ending up eating all nice stuffs, no working out and perhaps i should get into the diet thread..
In mercy of the active diet team member, hope i get motivated
GT : will send you pm you shortly...

I wish i could have trained DH on this coupons.. Perhaps a little alien story laugh out loud
Dh and Bil went to wegmans today for some eggs and yogurt, i gave him $.75 coupons (3 coupons for 3 items)
They used SCO and they dont know that wegmans doubles the coupons upto $.99 cents, after checking out, they both fingured that there is bug in their POS system. They met the supervisor and told him about the bug Facepalm Nono

Funny alien story! Men just don't get it sometimes, but at least they used the coupons, some men won't even do that.

Tying to get my coupons ready for a Target trip too. My circuit is ONE store. Sad, huh.

Need to pick up some Barbie clothes.
