Glad you can laugh about it, as that would have ticked me off.

Why be dumb and pay full price if you don't have to??? I don't like to waste things and that includes my hard-earned money.

It's a huge pet peeve of mine when people say that don't have time to cut Q's. I always ask them if they watch TV or surf the web at all. If you watch any TV you can certainly clip Q's while you watch. And if you spend any time on the web what's a few more minutes to print out IP's. Even if you did one or the other for 15 minutes you could easily save $5 per shopping trip. That's $20/hr. I don't make that much.

and besides 2 other express lanes she also could have gone to self checkout where there's usually at least 4 machines.

when dh drives, i spend the time going thru the wkly supermarket circular, clipping coupons i've printed out, etc. many times that's half an hr to one and a half hours one way. usually it's dark on the way back, so i take a nap cuz dh has to listen to the game or sports radio.

bff always says she doesn't have time, but i personally know she wastes a lot and also waits till the last minute to do everything or even forgets, so she's always stressed. then b/c she's stressed, she's always searching for stuff and wasting even more time. and she's not good at delegating. she has 2- 10yr olds who could cut the q's for her. they could even print them. hey! her 4yr old bought 2 movies the other day from fios. i think he also bought some apps too. and he can't even read yet. That's when I'd say, "How kind of you to offer to pay for my groceries! Full price & all!" Faint

Mini Thrift has been a very busy girl with honors/ap classes & a part time job. She'd watch them without swag or payment. My husband needs to stop working so much and realize that I am truly losing my marbles here!

Good Morning. Yawn

Had a good shopping trip yesterday. Nice cashiers that did not mind coupons and a shopper in line behind me that was hoping I had coupons so she could see how much I saved. It was a joy to check out.

I have enough Playtex tampons from Target and Kotex U from Wags that I should be safe in a small flood. woot

At least it's something most women need every month, versus something only a few people in the world need (or at least that is what always seems to be a RR item at wags).

Yay for a good shopping and a nice checkout.

It's Monday.... yawn. Why is it that I wait until I have no clean clothes (that fit) to wear before I do laundry? I was up too late last night waiting on the dryer, probably because I didn't start doing the wash until late.

Yeah, if I had to pay full price for my groceries, my family would pretty near starve. Well, not as bad anymore, but at that time, coupons literally fed my family. Well, that and the grace of God.

And hug on the hubby working so much. I think they don't understand how difficult it is for us until they walk a mile in our shoes. I'm going to be going to MI for my dad's surgery in a couple weeks, and hubby will have the kids for 3 days. By himself. They'll still be in school, so he'll have that whole routine to do. By himself. I'm kinda looking forward to it, in an evil sort of way. Big Grin

Morning, everyone! Enjoying my mug of coffee from DD this morning. They had a cup that you could get .99 refills of reg. coffee until April 30, so you can bet I'm getting at least 2 today! laugh out loud Wink

another reason i stopped cvs'ing. in the beginning it was good stuff like toothpaste and body wash. but then 2-3yrs ago all the faecb stuff became stuff i didn't need or want and my mom didn't want it either and any overage was being burned off and even costing me w/ higher gas prices.

i'll bet you don't have as much clothes that fit you anymore and either need to do laundry more often or go shopping. wish i had your problem!!! jealous!

if i had to pay full price for my groceries i think i'd end up shopping at walmart more often vomit, would be eating lower quality food and less selection b/c double coupons here make a big difference.

out of the 13 items, i had 8 coupons, 4-.30 yoplait lactose free yoghurt ip's which doubled to make them free and 4- .75 nut thins which were also on sale for 1.99 so .49 after doubled q's.

if i had to pay full price for yoghurt i certainly would buy it as much and yoghurt is good for you.

and i like salty snacks so i'd probably end up w/ cheaper lower quality snacks or not buy any at all.

Hello everyone. Wonderful Monday!

For some reason, i always get kinda worried when I have a sale. Too many weird stories about people getting shut down and fined for selling new items. I have saved all my receipts. Our town is so small (3500 population) that I don't even think we have any kind of Sale codes. Anyways, my Uncle is on the License commitee and has came to my sales every time and never mentioned anything so I assume I am okay.

I am supposed to be getting ready for a sale this weekend, but I just can't get motivated to have one like I used to. I only have about 3 a year but just get tired of the same ole' people asking the same ole' questions and me giving the same answer. lol Usually my DH sits with me and fends off the weirdo's but he will be working so it will be just me and DD. It seems like soo much work anymore. Luckily we have a building we get to set up in so being inside helps. I can set up a little all week while keeping the doors closed.

My goal is about $600 (or $663 to be exact LOL). We will be open friday evening for a few hours and then Sat morning until about noon. That is the amount we have left to save for our lowest disney budget. We have another 'budget' number we would like to reach but we need 'at least' that much to hit our first goal. Then the more we save after that, the more extra things we will get to do. We would like to add a couple of days, plus we need Universal ticket money. So far we have saved enough money and GC's and have not had to touch one penny in our savings account. Huge success for us!! I also will have about $1000 in emergency cash in my checking to use for just that..an emergency. Sooo, so far things are looking good on that front.

DS tells me that he has misplaced (uhh lost) his marching shoes so will have to pay $20 for a new pair. He says he gave them to me when we were at a parade during Dec. but I can't remember that far back. LOL

Hope everyone is having a great start to another week!!

Kotex U is $3.99 with a $3RR that rolls. $3.99 - $1 IP - $3RR and add filler 01ยข.
