My oldest niece graduated yesterday. It was a nice day, celebrating graduation and two family birthdays and getting to see my great nephew (who recently learned to walk) strut his stuff. They grow up too fast (nothing that Moms here don't already know).

Good Morning!!

Sharon, Congrats on the beautiful baby!

Thank goodness my sale is over. I don't know what was going on but ALL the crazies came out. Only saw a couple of my regulars, which kinda hurt my sales quota. I was told that the city wide the next town over was awesome this year, so that could be what happened.

I did end up making about $525, which is one of the lowest I think I have ever had. Funny thing was that I sold alot of just old household type things and clothes. Sold a fair amount of stockpile things but only had to restock a couple items. Which I guess leaves me plenty for next sale.

We are now just about $130 short of our vacation goal and have 2 weeks to save it. Should be no problem cause I sold about $75 just last week on ebay. I ended up using that money to buy the part we needed (hopefully) for our crashed computer. (Thanks Bronc for the suggestion/help) But I have alot more that seems to sell really well on there, so will spend the next couple weeks listing it. Plus keep throwing in my extra change/money. So excited to not have to even touch the savings acct for this vacation, esp. since it will be one of the longest/most expensive ones we have taken.

I can't believe there were not any good TQ's this morning. I am ready for something fun and exciting.
Going to make a quick trip to Target and several Walgreens (one WG is super friendly so might end up w/ a disney GC or 2). Then stopping by the new grocery store to see what the Free Item of the Day is. LOL Surely it is something I can use.Wink

TN..Congrats to your neice for graduating. That is a huge accomplishment!! And yes they grow up way to fast. Just seems like yesterday that we were watching our kids play Tball or being in the grade school recital. Frown
Wishing her well with her new life/adventure.

Nice job on the sale! I am desperate to have one to make some room in my place.

I got a bunch of those Disney GCs at T with extra T GCs before our Dsney trip. I brought all the cards to a Disney store and they combined them on to one card for me. Totally YMMV though because another store denied my friend...

A full moon always brings out the crazies. I guess it's true even for daytime!

I sure hope your computer problem was the power supply, and that you can return the part if that's not it. I didn't think you'd just get the part without having it diagnosed, but I imagine you know more about the whole thing than I do! Good luck!

Well, I kinda had a good idea that was the problem or something there abouts. I talked to someone (computer techie in grad school) who said that was a good place to start and that it seemed like that was the problem. So I figured I would start there. Yes, I can return the part if it does not fix it. So we are good there. I just didn't realize that it would be something that "I" could replace. But after reading your post and doing some googling and talking to a techie friend, I found out just how easy it would be to replace that part.

Sharon, We have a LOT of disney gc's and it would be really awesome to combine them. Alot of them are $15 and $25 amounts and I just hate thinking about having to deal w/all the different cards. I will have to check into having them combined. Thanks for that info.

BTW..Went to T and tried the .89 Nivea GC deal and it didn't work. I had 3 of them and she scanned and it didn't prompt so I had her take them off. I haven't read deals thread yet to see if it is just tagged but doesn't prompt or if I should have done it differently.

Seems Nivea needs to total 3/$5 or more B/C for GC to work.

Oh Duh..I probably should have thought of that. If I would have let her keep scanning the upteen number of them that I had, it probably would have eventually prompted for GC. Oh well, I made sure that there would be some left when I went back. Wink I didn't have any cpns for them so I guess I should go look for any that are available.

We had to make it a quick trip as DS had a spring band concert this afternoon. But did make it to several WG and NONE of them had the witch hazel and the mgr at the last one said she hasn't been able to get Kotex in for a cpl weeks now. I did make sure to have her order about 10 or 15 of each of the RR items that I needed. And she is asking the pepsi guy to leave at least 20 starbucks refreshers for me!! woot The fun part is going to be trying to get those .99 RR's spent in a week before vacation. I will make a list of things we need to take with us and just spend them all on that stuff.

DH is out getting ready to open the pool for the summer. It is sooo nasty looking. We bought 4 bags of salt to pour in so hoping it clears up nicely. Probably will take several filter changes/cleanings to get it to where it needs to be. I just hope my kids use it enough to make it worth using up all the electricity it pulls. Last year it didn't seem to get as much use as previous years. Seems every year older they get, the less they use it.

That's my list, too. Would love to know if I'm missing out on something. laugh out loud Although jteef did mention a Stayfree gift card deal in the deals thread - have to check my qs to see if its worth doing. My sister, who's a poor college student (Teehee), uses these, so I like to keep her stocked.

And if you have any questions about pricing, let me know. I have a sale at least once a month, and probably have similar inventory to you, since we shop the same places. Big Grin

hug Thanks. Its no coincidence that the autism bumper stickers depict a puzzle piece - you are constantly trying things out to figure out what fits and what helps. I am so blessed with my son - just looking at him, you would never guess he's a little "different". The issues we deal with are so minor compared to other families, but the victories are no less exciting. nod
Feingold has helped tremendously with JJ's behavior. He's not diagnosed with anything, but I do know that he is wired a bit differently. I don't want a label, just a clue on how to help him cope & work through different situations.

I totally agree on the puzzle. We have good days, some days we only have a few.good moments, and some days it is as if the puzzle pieces have been thrown to the far corners of the earth.

Diet DOES affect behavior. Some kids more than others. I am amazed to find how many foods that I am sensitive to since I've overhauled JJ's diet. Tomatoes make me grizzly...and I cannot eat Pace salsa at all. Idk if it is the combo of vinegar & tomatoes, but boy did I ever feel PMSy & instant headache the 2 times I ate it after cleaning up my diet.

I'm on my phn and ready to go to bed but I'll try to pm ya tomorrow about a few things I've learned in the past 9 mos that we've been all natural.

Could the headache be related to the threatening thunderstorms of the last day or so, that we are still "supposed" to have this weekend?

Most autism mommas I know removed both gluten and casein. I've read good and bad on both sides, and tried it when my now 13 year old was first diagnosed. There weren't any differences for her, and my 10 year old has a very self-limited diet (though, amazing!! after 6 years of eating about the same 10 things, he has asked to try 3 new foods in the past week) so I never tried. Are you going to switch the entire family or only him? Makes a big difference because of cross-contamination issues. New cookware, etc, is needed.

I know several mommas that have had awesome luck for their children, using the gfcf diet. hug to you and your son.
Congrats to your son! hug
nod I think this is a bad move on Target's part.
What did you use to pretreat it? Is it in a place that you could use a paste of oxy-clean/ water, or in a spot that it would be too noticeable if a dot or a few were miscolored?
hug Hope you are both feeling better!

Congrats on the beautiful new arrival!!
My plan is just to switch my son to gluten-free, and more of a general limiting as opposed to complete elimination. Unless we notice he starts to respond negatively when he has any gluten, at which point it will be completely eliminated. Since I've never had him tested, I'm not sure where exactly he is on the spectrum. I do know he is very high-functioning, and I am viewing this diet change as basically giving him a "leg up", so to speak.

It has just amazed me how it seems to have cleared his mind, to the point that he is able to communicate like he really never has before. Not that he never talked, because he did. Its hard to explain, really, but its just awesome. laugh out loud

And as I'm heading off to bed, could someone send me a PM on the van de Kamp deal? THanks! Wink

People are starting to get snippy in the T coupon thread about the Nivea Deal. Of course people are going to try to get 3 of the tins for the $5gc. But as we all see it does not prompt. Only thing I am hoping is to still be able to get one lotion and two of the tins to get the gc. But they will probably pull the tins all together. Frown

One $3.xx lotion and 2 of the tins does work, as does 2 - $2.xx lip balm and one tin. Big Grin

I normally use the shout scrub stuff. Now it's in a blue container, but for years it was in a white looking tube. Of course it's right in front... I think I'll try the dawn that flugette (I think) suggested and let it sit overnight and then wash again.

ETA: My SIL's Sister made some chicken enchiladas and brought them over after my knee surgery. They were dee-lish! Now I know why... I saw her at her Mothers house this weekend and I asked for the recipe. It uses a pint of heavy whipping cream in the sauce... No wonder I gained some weight right after surgery laugh out loud
