I am still trying to get ready for our vacation and I think there are some of you from the Birmingham area. I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation about which route to take from Birmingham to Orlando. We have previously traveled the Atlanta 75 route and once went the Montgomery/Dothan Route. But I had read on a blog that going south toward Columbus is the easiest way. Any suggestions?
If my calculations are right, we would be stopping either in Tupelo or Birmingham for a night on our way there. Entire trip to Florida takes about 22 hrs. So we will be driving as long as possible on the first day.
Hey Thrifteh, Thanks for the 'heads up' on those cheaper Kotex liners at WM. I don't know why I had not even thought of using the q's on those. Much easier than ad matching WG.

i'm just not in the shopping mood this wk. got all my q's lined up and just don't want to go to the store.
i did go to the diet group last night and have like 3 more pages to catch up and see what y'all have been up to. so good to see gg again. have to say i'm so impressed w/ the change in diet some of you have been doing. chia seeds, coconut oil, fruit smoothies, kale chips, etc.
i've been trying to eliminate partially hydrogenated fats as much as possible so i did not buy the pillsbury easter cookie dough, even though i had the q's and it was dirt cheap. bff was trying w/ hfcs but having a hard time b/c it's just everywhere. and the bad stuff is also the cheapest and most convenient which right now is just too alluring for her. we were at sns putting together an instant savings deal and she wanted to buy crackers to serve w/ cheese and stay away from cookies. but ritz has trans fats as does much of the nabisco products. i suggested just getting the dasani or not doing the deal and buying better quality snack foods. she ended up getting 2 nabisco variety packs and 1 dasani b/c she has also been having a hard time figuring out healthy snacks to give them. she says they are too picky but unfortunately i know some of it is that it's just so much easier to give in and give them processed food. and unfortunately it's an uphill battle to get kids to eat healthier once they are used to eating highly processed food. i did get her to buy whole wheat white bread to try on her kids. but i know it's only b/c there wasn't any other bread cheaper that wk.

Reports that the tins have stopped working. Bummed about that a little bit, but 2 of my 3 closest stores were OOS anyway, so now I won't have to go chasing that rainbow.

I was afraid the tins would end before I could go shopping.
didn't make it out yesterday. oh well, i got a couple tins around xmas that haven't been touched and a ziplock bag or 2 full of moisturizer. i really didn't need more.

I bought Loreal at target and sent in for the $10 rebate when you buy $30 worth. They returned with a slip indicating that I did not send in original receipt and written upc was not submitted. But I did sent in the original receipt along with the UPC bar code cut out. I bought the youth code cleanser too and they said "for youth code cleansers and trial size, written upc on receipt will be accepted", which is what I did.. Wrote UPC under the cleanser on the receipt, but the lady I called said I was supposed to write the upc on the form ??
