Don't forget to get your free donut tomorrow in honor of National Donut day! Originally started by Salvation Army to honor the female volunteers who served donuts to servicemen in WWI. So you are doing your patriotic duty!!! Big Grin nod

Krispy Kreme has a free donut per customer. Dunkin Donuts has a free donut with purchase of a beverage. I am thinking about walking (with my kiddoes!) the 15 mins to DD so we can burn off any calories consumed. laugh out loud Wink

Good evening peeps Wave

Bust getting ready for vacation.. We are going to the beach for a week. Pretty excited about the beach and about being in the land of multiple Publix stores Teehee

That being said, I found out the store there accepts competitor coupons from several stores that I am not familiar with.. I asked in the Publix chat thread with not much response, so I thought I would ask here..

Anyone know where I can get $$ off coupons from any of these stores.. Whole foods, save a lot, winn dixie, or sweet bay ?

I can't believe I procrastinated on downloading and using Google Chrome for so long. Internet Explorer does nothing but make my computer slow down to a crawl. After I started using Google Chrome, pages load very fast. And I've had few if any problems with it that were so inherent with IE. This has really changed my online experience. My poor li'l laptop doesn't get yelled at any longer either.

Absolutely! We ditched ie a long long time ago. J tried to completely remove it because it is a hog with computer resources (something always running in the background) and he ran into some registry problems. Long story short, you can't completely uninstall it. Angry

Flugette, I'd tell that store that rather than extending the coupon shopper's checkout experience, that they should make the cashier be more attentive to the order they are ringing up. It is absolutely ludicrous that the customer has to do the work for the retailer! I mean really, how hard is it to take note of what a customer's purchase is?!?! That my friends is an aspect of customer service and Flugette, your store is failing!

I need to get back to Target. Even if they are matching up coupons. I have been wasting my time at Kmart these past couple of weeks.

They had a great deal going! They were giving bonus points on health and beauty purchases. Granted, razors, pantene, etc, were cheaper up front at OTHER stores - but with the bonus points Kmart had a bit better of a deal.

Wellllllllllllll - They NOW decided the bonus points were an "error." And they took them all away. Frown Ironically people from the thread called SYWR when we first started getting the points - and SYWR told them that it was a bonus promotion for health and beauty. So we blew off Walgreens, CVS, Target, and all the other stores having specials - and spent our money, our coupons, and our time at Kmart.

And NOW they decided we weren't supposed to get bonus points unless we had a coupon for them for them. Their system "accidentally" gave them to everyone, and their agents "accidentally" told people we were supposed to get them. But without so much as an email or an explanation - the points just disappeared from our accounts. Many people now have negative accounts.

To make matters worse - some people have been accused of "taking advantage" of the "mistake." How in the heck were we supposed to know it was a mistake? Without the bonus points being taken into consideration we could have done much better deals at other stores.

To top it off - Kmart and SYWR have not even given us the courtesy of responding to our complaints on their facebook pages.

I can't believe how much time, money, and coupons I wasted at Kmart these past couple of weeks.

That is about one of the stupidest things I've heard a company do lately. I'm sorry. Frown Yeah they messed up but they should honor the mistake in the interest of good will.

I am sure TN will think "I told you so..." Frown She pops into Kmart threads from time to time for her own amusement - watching those of us who have been trying to make a go of Kmart shopping suffer. Wink

I lost $109 in points. I never would have bought all that stuff there if I had known the points were going to be taken back away. Because returning anything to Kmart is a nightmare. And I would not have paid that much OOP for the items if I wasn't being given the bonus points.

The woman at SYWR said I should just return all the stuff I bought that had the bonus points taken away. But I know that would be a nightmare, and I would be lucky to get very much back.

Heck - I had a cashier charge me for three rolls of toilet paper when I only bought two. Seeing I was charged $5.49 too much - I walked over to customer service and said "See - I just have TWO toilet papers. See - they charged me for THREE." I expected to get $5.49 back. The CS said "We can only refund $1.35." EEK! I said "But I was OVERCHARGED $5.49." But I used COUPONS. Dang it! I used TWO coupons on the TWO packs of toilet paper I BOUGHT and was KEEPING!"

But no - Kmart wanted to deduct the value of the coupons from the one I was charged for due to their cashier's error! And I had used a $10 CRT to pay. Yes! I paid for the stuff I actually bought and am keeping!!

But I just got an "Oh...well... our system just does that - There is NOTHING we can do....."

They see absolutely nothing wrong with overcharging a customer $5.49 and only refunding $1.35 ?????

I think the Attorney General would see something wrong with that!!!

Luckily, I was actually at the GOOD Kmart - and so I asked to speak to a manager and he finally gave me a gift card to make up the difference. They know I talk to the store manager there and fill out all those online surveys and give them high scores.

Had I been at the other Kmart - I would have been out of luck.

Even an acknowledgement that we have the right to be angry... and possibly an apology... would be better than nothing. But they haven't even given us that.

jteef1 Hug2 I wouldn't say that (but you have to admit it's amusing to read the posts that are all banging their heads agains the wall and then the joy when something actually works, or even over pays you)... And you were the one that thought that returning something a week later to get a price adjustment would be easy... In your dreams... it's Kmart!

I've been swamped this week, so I haven't read the thread in quite some time.

I actually wasn't talking about returning something - Just taking the receipt in for a price adjustment. They actually advertise that they will do a price adjustment.

But your warning "Remember, this is Kmart.." was enough to scare me...

Even when the CS actually TRIES to help - the whole system is wonky. Or as THEY say "The system just DOES that....."

Yeah. I feel pretty stupid now to have thought I could actually make the Kmart promotions work for me. There is a reason the Kmart thread has never been very active on SD.
