Well, we are gearing up for the heat wave here too.. 98 today, 103 tomorrow and 106 on Saturday
Right now I am trying to come up with dinner plans for the next 4 days that don't include turning on my oven.. looks like it is gonna be days of crockpot cooking for me.

today i plan to clean the bathroom. yuck!
Glad I didn't promise the kids to bake cookies today like I was going to promise... It wasn't too bad here in the shade because the wind has been blowing. Then it hit about 12:15 and got HOT (with less/little shade, so that doesn't help).
I'm tired, but the baby doesn't seem to be settling for a nap. Not sure if she's over tired or not tired enough!
We just started getting Sonic the hamburger place here. Not one for a couple towns over though .
soooo thankful for air conditioning, really feeling for those who don't have it
going to be a perpetually hot summer I think. I think of all of the people dealing with things like the forest fires or flooding that are threatening their homes though and that sure puts this little bit of heat in perspective.
No sonics here anymore.....they were both kind of far from me on the other side of the city so we never went much anyway but all of a sudden one day, poof, they closed

Sonic isn't that close here, 25 miles south to one and about 8 miles further south to get to another. Not a single one in the DC area north of us. Before we moved here, we had one 3 miles away. I miss that.
I think we have all the baby gear set up. Pack n play and swing are in the computer room, stroller and car seat in the car, bassinet next to my side of the bed. I'm getting really anxious, both about the c-section and just wanting him to be here.

I see...back in 1996 their fruit juices were recalled. Oh and apparently, just back in early April of this year the chocolate protein drinks were recalled because ppl had allergic reactions and found out Odwalla didn't mention it contained nuts!

/ old fogey, that's why I remember the e.coli thing, we lived in WA State during that and the Jack in the Box outbreaks.
