I had a much needed date night with DH tonight. We have both been so busy and working so much lately that it seems we pass like ships in the night
got my youngest a nice new bedroom furniture set and started picking up stuff for my oldest daughter for college.. reality is starting to set in.. not sure how I feel about it all, but we are down to 5 weeks now.. Tonight I picked her up a single cup coffee maker.. She doesn't really drink coffee, but does like hot cocoa and tea.. besides I knew she could use hot water to make other things.. and I am sure that she may develop a liking for coffee as many college kids do.. Still gotta get her bedding and a few other supplies.. Exciting and scary at the same time!

yeah I had a bunch of the free 6/17 SS from my area because of this Clairol deal at SR and was all excited for the huggies q until I went to look. Only the insert granny gave me from her paper had it. Now that I look at fleabay the "ANY" $2/1 wouldn't come in until the 10th ....we are leaving for the beach the 6th coming back through town the12th to go to a wedding in PA right after...and the qs expire the 14th
Also, if you are able to PM the Huggies Hawaiian somewhere, they have two packs inside each with $2 off any Huggies peelies on them. You could keep rolling those and not have to order some from fleabay. Just a thought

1) when I look that up, google maps puts me right into the water off of Norfolk
2) DH will not agree unless I find where to stop near there for a valid reason (i.e. bathroom brake, get gas, or a snack). I'll find out what our timetable is first...because I bet he wants to do this overnight. I'll find a way to coax him

I've been cleaning out the upstairs fridge and it already hurts. There was so much delicious Chobani yogurt
So on the note of our housing situation...DH is driving me nuts. He has this new obsession for the past 6 months to buy an abandoned fire house in baltimore. There seems to be one left and about to be put up for bids and wants us to put an application together. Now, until today I thought we agreed we wouldn't live there anytime soon (like 10 yrs) because of the bad neighborhood/schools. We also already started the process to get our 3.5yr old into a new public pre-school program right around the corner from us for him to start this fall.
What I think is driving him to this is that we are not having the best time the in-laws. To make it short...we are finding out their true colors day by day since we started renting their old house (after backing out from buying it when I lost my job). Things went down-hill financially for us and we are grateful they let us stay. Now DH has a good government job and I better find something too if we want to get out of this.
So according to my googling, we wouldn't get a home loan until DH has been in his new job for 2 years. So we'll have to rent for that long unless a miracle comes our way and DH thinks the firehouse is it
I am at a loss and getting frustrated. Sometimes I have this crazy daydream that we'll befriend a lonely senior who will leave us their house
