It is worth a try but I have read a lot of stores have reset the clearance and this stuff comes up full price or "check shelf tag" (INF equivalent). With the INF you can try to get them to honor it as most ppl know they were .99 or can look that up. Someone on the Kmart thread said it still recently rang up .99 BUT some never found the clearance price or the items reported to begin with. Ophelia"something" posted a word doc compilation of the clearance finds on the Kmart thread if you want to have something complete but here is an "avant gout" below.

I think the deals were crazy/awesome at .99 and the list included:
- Leapfrog stuff: purple tag junior reader (my fav!), tag books and leapster games, scanning toys
- board games: loopz, tapz, balderdash, sorry
- Star Wars the clone wars figurines, masks, lightsaber
- Green lantern toys
- WWE stuff
- some barbies and princess doll stuff
- Cars2, Hot Wheels
- oh and this $99 interactive Dinosaur (didn't find it but for .99 I would totally get it..who doesn't want a pet dino LMAO)

All this almost made me return the stuff I got from T. Definitely still thinking about saying byebye to the annoying robot.

paninis? i went to a sandwich demo at the library the other day and there was this fancy grilled cheese sandwich of caramelized onions w/ gruyere on rye bread. that would be nice w/ a salad. but anything w/ melted cheese would be good. cubans? i have lots of cheddar cheese in the fridge i need to use up that was intended for mac and cheese but it's been too hot till now to contemplate turning on the oven for half an hr. i need to try doing it in the toaster oven one day. maybe friday.

Wow, those are some crazy deals from K! I absolutely LOATHE the only Kmart I have in driving distance, so I very, very, very rarely go there. I went in there once in the past month to get the July sales ad (Thanks, TN, for the heads' up on the Huggies PM!!!!), but other than that, I haven't stepped foot in there in years.

Plus, its very difficult for me to get shopping done in the summer, when all 3 kids are at home. I can't take them to drugstores, because its just too much work. I will take them to Target and a grocery store or two, but its still a lot of work and I only do it sparingly. So the majority of my shopping is done in the evenings after dinner, when hubby is home to hold down the fort. And he totally doesn't mind, he's awesome about it, but I try to prioritize my shopping to make sure I'm squeezing every last possible benefit from it.

All that being said to say this - I don't read threads for stores I don't shop at, so the only time I hear about deals at Walmart and Kmart is here in this thread or mentioned in passing in other threads. So I'll just shop vicariously through you all! Big Grin

And TN, I never did get the full story on the diapers PM from the Kmart July ad - was that a typo or were they really selling the boxes for that price in store? I managed to get a few Wink boxes at Walmart with the PM, and they will help fund my trip home to my parents at the end of the month. So thank you for the heads' up!!

Supposed to have been $15.99, but they forgot the 1. I got the Athens store to honor it. ... with the $5 off 2 SYWR card, it was worth it to me to wait (and wait, and wait, and wait until they decided whether or not to honor it, 2 weeks after the ads came out). It shows how few people actually LOOK at their ads.
Wonder if their review team got a once over? Three of my boxes were dropped off at a friends house, who just had a newborn last week (my boxes were 2s and 3s for her).

Faint Wow, that is some kind of mistake. I picked up my ad no earlier than the second week in July, and they had all the ads sitting there, with nothing posted about an error or anything. That's pretty crazy.

I got 5 boxes for my sister-in-law - she has an 18-month old and is due again in about 6 weeks. She was very excited to get such a good deal.

BTW, I have to give credit to thrifteh, as she gave me the heads up about the post in the Kmart thread. She knows I buy for my great nephew (who was/is a chunky monkey in 5s at 11 months... now 14 months old).

Thanks! Those will have to go on tomorrow's list. laugh out loud I had printed the Comet coupons, but didn't have time to get them today. I had kind of a packed shopping schedule - seems like all the stores are having awesome deals this week!

My haul:

- 38 boxes of cereal (Shoppers and Target)
- 6 bottles of shampoo (Rite Aid)
- 4 toothbrushes (Rite Aid)
- 2 Poligrip (Rite Aid)
- 20 jars of pickles (various forms - slices, large pickles, petite pickles, dill relish, etc.) (Shoppers)
- 8 Glade refills (Target)
- 2 pink Xhilaration skirts (Target)
- 1 pair Denizen jeans (Target)
- 6 boxes of Bayer Advanced (Rite Aid)
- 2 Chobani yogurt 4-packs (Target)
- 1 magic bubble thing (Target)

All for less than $50. Faint Not too bad for 3 hours work! Big Grin
