i just read the part about using chrome incognito. tn- did you use chrome incognito and you still got the same bar code?
answering myself. first incognito window had a different barcode. second incognito window when the first was still open had the same barcode. closed all incognito windows and used the same paste in a new incognito window and had a different barcode. closed incognito and opened a new one and a new bar code. worked 3 times so far.

Yes, I was able to print 8 using incognito and all have different bar codes.. But, we only have one TRU/BRU around here and with a 4 day expiration, don't think I could use that many of them anyway.

i think i'm going to take bff's 2 dd's and have them pick out their own supplemental ramadan/eid gifts. since i already got them tons of cheap stuff at target already for ramadan, xmas and bday. (yeah, we celebrate ramadan at her house and then they come over and celebrate xmas at our house. not really supposed to but bff LOVES gift receiving and any excuse.....) we have a tru and bru in one direction and a bru 10 miles from our house in the total opposite direction and a doable tru maybe 13ish miles in a 3rd direction. so maybe we'll do twice.....i'm not taking the 4yr olds w/o their mom though, so she is gonna haveta maybe make a separate trip w/ them b/c she is fasting till 8ish pm and the dd's get out of camp at 6pm. so i can take them after they eat but bff is gonna want to be home at 8pm to eat and there is no way to get back in time. well maybe i can persuade her to eat on the road.....

If you can't find anything else you can get free overpriced Duracell batteries, and the 4.99 pack worked great for me with no issues or intervention or tax in a pre coupon tax state (cause its a store coupon)

ooh, great idea!!! there is a bru near my favorite shoprite and then a tru on the other side about a mile down.

not that i need batteries. i still have AA's from when target was clearancing the 2pk for 1.25 a box or something like that. and i buy when they are cheap at shoprite.

but if they sell 9V i can always use those for the smoke detectors. oh wait, my in-laws have lots of those. i'm sure i will find something. if not i will buy crayola to donate to the library since i screwed up and didn't use my 1.00/3 to get freebies at target last wk. was holding out for washable markers. oh wait, i will get those. don't care how much they cost, they will be free. don't even have to pay the .50 at walmart.

You are too funny.

I also got some candy. 4 candy bars for .17

I know there are frequent deals at drug stores for free candy, but we typically get "drek" coupons here so I don't usually get extra papers and can't justify buying coupons for candy.

i got 8 free milky way the other wk at SNS. that and i have candy coming out of my ears from target xmas, valentines day and easter clearance. and i don't even eat that much candy.....

i haven't been buying the paper all summer until the last 2 wks b/c the q's have sometimes not even been even break even for the 2.00 cover price, never mind the gas to go to the store. and we didn't go to the normal quick chek last wknd so the star ledger did not have rp and so i bought the bergen record instead but the ss sucks. told dh we are never buying the paper from that quick chek again.

OMG, I could buy 20 bags of candy and they would be gone in less than a month. 4 out of 5 here are thin but if I buy candy, ice cream etc, its gone in a flash. I buy at all the clearances and I have to really hide it from everyone.

Us NJ peeps get all the lousy coupons. I almost hate reading the previews cause half of what is good in them never come to the state. Actually I get the local PA paper delivered and that is no better.

Wave Back from vacation; we had just a lovely time Smilie So relaxing! Feels like just yesterday I was planning these summer vacations....where'd the summer go?

Yes summer went by way too fast. IDK when our next vacation will be. Frown We spent so much on this last Disney one that it will take me while to save up enough to go again. However, DD is going to try to get into the Disney college program for next fall sooo might be sooner than I think. lol I would HAVE to follow her down to help her take all her stuff. Glad you all had a great vacation!

Thanks Smilie When we started out about 3 yrs. ago we had about 17K (not including the house) to pay off between credit cards, student loans, personal/vehicle loan, etc....probably 95% of that was what each of us came into marriage with because we were young and dumb (and probably still are and just don't know it) LMAO The only thing we've had to add really was this last car loan which pushed the total over the 20K mark...and I am planning to get that paid off this month or next depending on finances. Then just one very small student loan & we're done, hopefully by the end of this year or early next year, probably dependent on how much overtime dh is able to work. We're a one-income family (@ less than 50K per year) & dh has a good job....he has worked there for 10 yrs. next month. He didn't go to college, heck he is smart but was a rebel Teehee & was probably lucky to complete high school back then laugh out loud It has meant a lot of overtime for him & hard work but overall I don't feel like we have sacrificed much of what we need or even want aside from a few things, like the vacations up until this year...just mostly finding a cheaper way to get the things we do need want/need, etc.

We never did cash/envelopes either. Both of us are so stinking forgetful I hate carrying actual cash on a regular basis, so we use debit & just have a strict budget that I keep very close tabs on and that seems to have worked. We haven't always paid off the smallest debt first either...for instance our car loan is larger than the student loan but I need to get rid of that larger payment of the car loan badly just in case something happens to dh's commuter car....it has some fatal issues & could break down any day now & at that point we'll need to replace. So hoping we can get everything paid off & some in savings before that happens!

snip!
Oh your DH sounds like mine. He has been at his job for 19yrs last month. We too are a single family income (poor LMAO but much better off than alot around here). My DH was on partial unemployment last year(and the 2 yrs prior) and was sometimes only working 24hrs a week. It was aweful! This year he has been working 60-70hrs a week. Thank the lord for turnaround. We were able to live on the pay he was getting back then (plus a little unemployment) so the pay he is getting now is so wonderful. We have been able to do so much this year including savings! I know what ya mean about not paying the smallest payoff first. Although we have been doing that with a couple small bills, I am so intent on paying off our dental contract. It is $212 a month and even tho we have been lucky enough to have the money to pay it, I don't like that large of a monthly payment going out. So, I am set to have it paid off by Nov. Don't really like that feeling of 'what if'. If something happened to DH or his job, that would be a very hard amt to come up with each month. SO it must go first!
I agree with the 'free' feeling you feel when you pay off each debt. It is an amazing feeling which is why DR's basic setup works well for us. I just can't imagine ever being having 6mo living exp. savings...now THAT will be amazing!! We kinda have a good start and put more than the step 1 called for in emergency but..I am paranoid and like the extra safety net!

I really save alot each week on our grocery bill with coupons and ad matching. Our Walmart stores here are amazing and never cause problems with either so it is soo easy to save money there esp. ad matching!

Now with Christmas quickly approaching I need some awesome deals so that I don't blow the budget!!
hug Keep up the good work thismom4deals it will be worth it!!!

It has been a tough week. Made so much progress in the past year. This week feels like everything slipped away. He's been very explosive & aggressive and nothing has changed with his diet or therapy. Just keep swimming huh?

I went through it for 2 years with Meg. I got slapped, punched, pushed down stairs, stuff thrown at me....now look at her! It was horrible and there were so many times I couldn't see the light. It's tough...you just take 1 day at a time as best you can
hug I agree, focus on one day at a time. If I try to think beyond that, some days it's just overwhelming to take it all in. I also noticed that my son became more aggressive when he was making progress in other areas. Doesn't always make it easier but it was a good mantra for me to chant instead of screaming. I saw this on Facebook recently and yep, so true.

tm4d, congrats on paying off so much debt! You are an inspiration.

And here's a new picture of baby Nolan. I can't believe he is 6 weeks old today! As of his well baby check on Friday, he is 8 lbs 7oz and 22.5 inches long. Growing like a weed, and I'm really enjoying having another chance to experience the wonder of watching a little one grow. heart Still makes me weepy.

Thanks Flug,

Yes I know. Now I have to say that I am sure it is because grandma lets them just play with her ipod/laptop and they think it is 'fun'. But there is no way I would get them something like that. So figured 'maybe' the leappad would be something that they would be able to master AND take the wear and tear that I am sure it will endure.
I bought my own kids almost every leapfrog item available when they were little and they loved them. However that was almost 10yrs ago. So wanted to make sure this leappad was as cool/good as it looked.

I have decided to go with 1 gift for each this year and that is it. So trying to find something nice that they can perhaps get some use out of. But really didn't want to pay the money for something that they will play with one or two times and not have the desire to touch again. Which very well may be the case anyways but..lol
I know this was from a while ago, but I think just from looking at the leap pad that it would be a toy they enjoyed playing with for a long time. The lifespan of all my LF toys has been years, except for the alphabet caterpillar. laugh out loud Not sure what bothered them about that toy, but all 3 of my kids wanted nothing to do with it.

Hey, HD, have you seen the gelato mqs from the rachael ray site? Big Grin Some nice ones, with long expy dates...
