I'm hoping the 4G will have it. Pissed me off to hell when I saw leaks upon leaks upon leaks of an iPod Touch with a camera..and then only found that the 3G doesn't
Not that I would use it that often..but it's the principal, that when I upgrade my devices..it must be a significant upgrade..not some useless shit like memory or a processor (aka..internals..not externals.).
But then I got one of these suckers
http://www.amazon.com/Ibizia-iFIP...B00160QW
...it was $12 at Target
So now..every iPod accessory is now compatible with my bluetooth phone
blockbuster tried to compete with netflix with dvd's by mail and later streaming. they still had to claim bankruptcy, close many retail shops and don't have a solid future.

The problem was they didn't market it. No one knew about it pretty much, and it wasn't direct through T-Mobile..you could only buy it from Google..nowhere else.
That might have worked in Europe..but in America, people generally are tied to cheap phone prices, and don't understand how the concept of a "subsidy" works. They will pay the $70/month as long as their phone is $199.
As for Blockbuster...yeah...they're pretty much screwed. It's how technology works and they didn't push hard enough, fast enough and let the likes of NetFlix and RedBox surpass them. Look Blockbuster..I don't need 7 days to watch a movie for $8. I need to watch it only once for like $1 or $2. Redbox understood that..and NetFlix understood that as well with $9 for a whole month and access to thousands of movies instantly..WTF would I rent from BB?
but anyway..back to the Kindle and Nook. The only company I think struggling with the ebook race is Borders. They've been trying hard with the kobo and some other brands but they just SUCK.
Amazon has been in the book business since the beginning..that's the only thing they sold from the very beginning. They're not going anywhere.
Barnes & Noble has the backup of idiots. I told a friend of mine who wanted a book that he could get the same book from Borders for 30% less with my Borders coupon. He bought it at B&N anyway rather than save the $9-$10.
I don't know what it is about B&N I guess. But I see people sitting around in the store just reading..so it's just the "environment" I suppose. They're also not going anywhere. They built a premium brand and they stick by it. Just like Apple. They also own big brands like SparkNotes..so that definitely helps.
They've done well and have advertised it enough to where it was sold out for a while (months) for the holidays. B&N is here to stay in the ebook market. That's where BB failed..they didn't hop on fast enough..and why Borders is struggling.

acceptance is what really drives how much a company pushes it. amazon is the leading online general merchant. look at the itunes store. they agreed early on, that they won't make money on selling songs for 99 cents. they figured they'd make it up on ipods. does the nook have that advantage? is it that much better than the kindle? kindle at least has amazon's muscle to get a lot of hardcovers for 9.99. now compare that against a multipurpose device like the ipad that many other things support.
if your eyes really can't handle reading the ipad/iphone screen, no argument from me. i think that's a lot over played and you'd be better off with a backlight screen .
My DH went to the lake for 4 days with out me
