Not a fan of Newcastle? I enjoy one on occasion.
Dammit. You are right. Newcastle is always on hand at my house.

Interesting fact for us TX folks. Newcastle is brewed and packed in separate batches for us TX folks because of TABC laws. Also, the ABV here is higher at 5% since it says 'Ale' on the label. In TX, if the label reads 'ale' it has to be 5% ABV or greater. Newcastle is 4.6% elsewhere in the world.

Are you talking about a restaurant? I don't know of any that serve dogfish.
If you're talking about a liquor store like Friar Tucks, you can easily get a 6 pack for around $8.
i thought he was talking about the dfh brewpub, but there are plenty of places that have dfh on tap...usually a common one like 60 min. my favorite local place has 5 on tap right now.

op: if you go to the brewpub, just get the sampler.

60 is an ipa, 90 is a double ipa. start with the 60. if you like that, move on the 90.

LOL.

But yeah, as square alluded to, the 90 gets hoppier.. so see if you like the 60 first.

Doesn't that come in a brown bottle?

I will admit - some German beers that come in clear or green bottes are fine, but only if you buy them in Germany and drink them in Germany.

I didn't mind Mythos while I was in Greece. It was similar to Budweiser, but was much cheaper and was available at most restaurants. That was green bottled.

But I agree for the most part that beer in green or clear bottles sucks.
Nope clear glass. nod

It's a little hoppier, but I also found it to be a bit sweeter with more fruity flavor to it. Dontknow

If you're not a hophead, the overwhelming thing you'll notice first is the additional hops.

I don't know why some people label me as a beer snob. The beer I always have in my fridge is Yuengling lager. I just like to taste lots of different beers and appreciate them.

We had a beer party last Saturday where everyone brought a case of something non-standard, drank a bunch, and swapped beers at the end. One guy invited never drank anything other than Coors Light. We encouraged him to at least taste a couple different beers and he fell in love with Chaos Theory, a very malty IPA. We were all very surprised and he kept asking for more.

I definitely had a couple interesting beers, including one that supposedly tasted like Lucky Charms. They lied.

im not sure if ive ever had a good hoppy beer, im guessing not. ive been drinking red strip, modelo(light), and michelob ultra. i could never get into those that much no matter how hard i tried. comparing those drinks to st pauli beer was like comparing rusty metal to gold. so st pauli girl may suck to most people but tasted really good to me.
