why would you think their registers are set up to distinguish between food and non-food like a real supermarket?

However, if Kmart can set up their registers to know only to double coupons in the Health and beauty department surely Target can program their registers to recognize coupons that attached to the food items that their system did recognize. I like to think Target is a bit ahead of the game over Kmart, however; now that I think about it Kmart registers did start having the select a box/item screen first and other coupon stuff.
Shockingly enough I didn't get in on the cereal, or C9 (which I still plan on trying on some sports bras that I need if anything is left), or even the Sobe when the GC was good. I could cry about the Sobe, that is what I get for being stuck up Walgreen's butt. Time for a Walgreen's break and concentrate more on Target again. I do one for a while get bored and do the other. At least I am getting Sobe for free which is better than nothing, but I am very sad about missing out on a $5 GC for every 10 I buy, since the cashiers are accepting 10 Target coupons for each purchase so far.
I only have 40 bottles, but would like to get more, since I actually like some of the 0 calorie flavors. I drink a little of the drink and put them in the freezer till they become a slouchy and I think they taste great. The regular flavors and some of the diet are yuck, and I had some expired from last years sale that finally got tossed, only two bottles that sat in the refrigerator for months after being downstairs on the drink shelf since last year. My DH just wouldn't drink them after I suckered him into taking about 5 of the other yucky ones to work. Kids were like ummm no!
This time around I am only buying flavors I like, so they will all get drank!

Like, I know they can do whatever they want, but that is crazy. Yes, make it so there can't be overage, that is fine and makes sense, but without stipulations, it is otherwise fair game. I was waiting for a sale on the shorts I like to combo it with and maybe one of those polos that are good for sweating (also waiting for a sale).
And some certain Qs are still working, despite being reported as beeping. My middle-aged woman cashier was questioning if I got the right items in my order, and was going to deny my Qs until she realized she had already scanned a couple that went through without beeps. So she muttered, "Target is so retarded, but if that's how they want to do it, then here goes!" And she scanned the remaining Qs.
And I am SO excited.
Found out a new Walgreens opened up about 15 mins away and I have a ton of $3/$10 Qs to use. Gotta figure out some scenarios. I know this isn't the best week for them, but if nothing else, I can get some cheap school supplies.

I went to the doctor too this morning on my way to the hospital. Bad case of bronchitis and inflammation in the tissue somewhere. Anyway, I got a steriod shot and a bunch of meds. The shot started working and I am feeling better. Anxious about what the new docs will need to do...His doc talked to us a bit about the ventricularostomy. He said it is a relatively simple procedure as neurosurgery goes, but when it goes bad, it goes really bad. So that has me terrified. Keep positive, Teri.
Hmm... just realized that the 20th is a Friday. I went into labor with the last one on a Friday night. :lo l: Of course, I'm kind of hoping this one decides to come sooner...

Another shunt failure and he is so sick again. This time, they have to replace the whole thing, and are going to try to place the tubing from his head into some tissue around his lung. I don't know. I just want him to get beyond all these shunt failures. He's not been 'right' since the last one. Unstable, incontinent at times. Please say a

We were supposed to be traveling to Phoenix for my uncles funeral. I am still in shock he commited suicide. I keep thinking of my Aunt and just felt like I needed to be there to comfort her. I don't think I could continue to live in a house where my DH shot himself in the head in the bathroom. It was totally out of the blue she had no warnings. Although he had been on depression meds for just over a year.
We are not able to go because lilB got a fever, a fever of 104.7! He has had the fever for two days and doing the Tylenol and Motrin rotaion was only helping a little. By the time the 3 hours was almost up he was back up to 104! So scary! The Dr told me that a trip a long trip like that (12 to 16 hours of driving) was a really bad idea. We needed to keep him where we could put him in the bath often to cool him down in addition to the meds. Thankfully today the fever is down to low grade but he is so cranky and doesn't feel good. He has been to the point he just whimpers and cries all day and wants me to hold him. Rubbing his little head saying "head hurrrt"
oh, and I have strep. No wonder I feel like dog crap :face palm: My kids had it last week so it was practically unavoidable :ann oyed:

We may need to skip T until the you-know-what-hattery dies down - if it ever does. Seems like the dorks are crawling out of the woodwork now. : (
I also can't believe that the thread hasn't been shut down yet. It seems like it is spiraling out of hand and a little time off might be a good idea for some folks.
DS is out of surgery and in his room. They just gave him some morphine and he is sleeping, but oh boy was he ever agitated before the meds. Usually, with brain surgery, no pain meds, but they opened him in 4 places so the doc said he would need it. I'm so glad because he is in alot of pain around his lung. They opened his head, neck, chest and abdomen. He looks like he has been to war. His head is wrapped, bandages everywhere. I don't feel good. I can hardly breath the pain is so bad. I thought I pulled a muscle but now I;m thinking it may be something with my chest/lungs. It hurts so bad to breath. I'm glad DS is sleeping because I just didn't have the energy to pull and tug on him. His dad took a shift so I could come home and take a break.
Ever just feel like crying, but you don't because you won't allow yourself to?
