If your store has a Starbucks, ask them for the red cupholders that clip on the cart side. Just remember to return them. I've forgotten a few times and had my oldest take them back into the Starbucks staff. Some stores are nice enough to lend them out to any customers, not just the ones that have bought coffees etc.
Thanks for the tip! I had no idea that these existed. woot

Anyway, any foolproof ways to guesstimate? I've tried buying big in the past and she either ends up literally swimming in stuff or it waits for the next year. There are a lot of things she wore at the end of last summer that she's wearing this summerDontknow I don't wanna have to wait next year and pay full price
I have a shrinky dink too and that makes it harder.

A little l late on this topic but the way I always did , was if it's summer and I'm buying for next summer look at the size they are wearing now and age they are now for little ones and do this : ex age 12 mo summer / wearing 18 mo /next summer will be 24 months buy 24 mo+ 1 sz so I buy 2 T . Has usually worked for me . Does that make sense to you gals ?
That's what I did too - their age plus one size. If DS, on the other hand, is 3 next year, I'd go with 36 mos/3T (b/c he's small) but for DD, I'd have gone with 4T for next year (she was a little bigger).

Two sets of closet rods worked well for me, cut the closet in half length wise , one rod about three feet below the other.
That's what we did in all of our closets but I would never use those pressure rods (unless it was baby clothes) b/c it would never hold.

DS is doing so much better. He seemed to turn the corner last night. He's awake, able to walk without assistance. He did fall once during the night though, but he is still weak. PT will be in today and then hopefully they will let him go home.
Good deal - I bet he'll be glad to be going home, too. hug

laugh out loud at 'shrinky dink'

My dd started running behind on sizes within the first 4 mos. or so of her life. She was a 6 lb. 5 oz. baby, but was under 6 lbs. when we brought her home. Ended up wearing preemie stuff for the first month or so and then newborn for almost another month....then by the time she got into summer (bday is in Feb.) she was still in 0-3 mos. and by that time she was starting to drop on the charts. Doc has never been concerned; I'm sure it's genes from me but at this rate I am afraid she will be going to kindergarten in toddler clothes and STILL not have barely any hair. Those adjustable waist pants work OK....just OK....they end up being really 'bunchy' at the tops though when the tabs are pulled in and buttoned all the way. Right now TCP jeans fit her the best - looooooove those. Some things from there, not so much, but jeans are great.

I found so much clearance stuff at T. this morning. Tons of purses, hidden summer goodies in the toy dept. that I hadn't seen yesterday, another hat/tshirt father's day set for dh next year, etc. Spent $16 and left with a boatload of stuff....but I too have to get myself highly motivated to go to T. these days with all of their coupon problems. Mostly because I hate to use my valuable time shopping in their store only to risk having my q's turned down at the register. So far things have been pretty good here thoughWink

I haven't had any of the weird autoing issues, either. :crossingmyfingersthatitstaysthatway: I've been sticking mainly with the Colgate deal and hunting down clearance. Anyone care to share some hidden summer clearance items? I haven't been able to find squat, although I do plan to look for the iced tea maker this evening. Other than that, I have no idea what to look for.

Oh, I did finally find a Buzz Lightyear Mr. Potato Head last night, after having searched for like 3 weeks for it. Now I have Mr. and Mrs. and Buzz Lightyear. Quite the party!

Miss Eva seems to be feeling somewhat better. We had our playdate and she happily played in the sandbox for a while, and puttered around like she normally does. But then she got a little clingy as the day wore on. Now she's sleeping. I just hate it when they seem like they're in pain, but they can't tell you what it is.

This is totally my problem. I want to shop, or at least hunt for clearance but w/all the issues I'm just too scared to make a special trip for nothing (my T's aren't close).

That's my motto anyhow
Teehee So true, Plus if the size is larger than the one the kids is currently in then they will get into it sooner or later Cool
Quote from setsail :
Same here. My girls have basically worn the same sizes for a while now. Helps when they hit those teen years- usually grow taller, wear a larger shoe size, need a larger bra size (don't tell them I said that laugh out loud) but otherwise, pretty much the same size. The boys are 8 and 2 so I know I have a lot of clothing sizes to go through before they reach their expected adult heights of 6'2 or so.
.
Lucky you, they will only get to 6'2''...Mine are going to be at least 6'9'' and since both my DH and I have exceded our parents heights I imagine I'll have 7 footers!EEK!

Found a new hangtag and peelie yesterday. I don't *think* they've been mentioned yet.

Peelie- $5 off Toy Story 3 Space Shooter Game (on the game itself) expires: 7/1/2011

Hangtag- FREE Green Works Natural Dishwashing Liquid with the purchase of any THREE Green Works products- got really excited about these until... well... you know.Sadwalk
Expires: 9/15/2010 (found on the dishwashing liquid)

I think the projected height for my older son is 6'4 or so, for my younger son it's 6'2. I have several relatives that are 6'7 and taller, and one of my sisters is 6'4! I'm right at 6 ft so yeah, even if I tried to "fly under the radar", it wouldn't happen. Embarrassment
