The store nearest me has always been filled with coupon haters, and they train all cashiers to be coupon haters. I tried to use ONE coupon in a transaction, the C9 coupon for a pair of shoes. They had to ask about every red shirt that was in the front lanes before they finally they accepted it but geez. And yes, the clearance price of the mens basketball shoes was well above $5.
And, I purchased a PSP game last night. Didn't realize until I was home that it scanned twice. *sigh* I have to go back to that store, about 40 miles one way, to have it corrected.
I tried to use the C9 coupon tonight on some women's socks and was told socks are not apparel, they are underwear and the coupon is only good for apparel. Target.com agreed that socks are underwear and not apparel. Personally I always thought that underwear and socks were apparel (clothing), but I could be wrong.
My DH thinks they probably meant to exclude socks, but probably missed putting the same language on the printed coupon. Which may very well be true, but use that as a reason, instead of trying to say socks aren't apparel.
I have successfully used the C9 coupon at this store and a few other stores before today, so I was surprised to get the grief. If it was a man's item of course the coupon scanned and if it was a women's the cashier just verified I had the item and it was k1'ed. I personally think the cashiers in the St. Charles Missouri area are getting their asses chewed out for coupons or something, because the stores are getting so tough on coupons especially their own, as the cashiers look angry/scared/bothered when any coupon needs a k1.
I was also told by this same store that the only Handbag that the Merona coupon was good for was the one pictured on the coupon. Has anyone been able to buy any Merona bag that this coupon doesn't beep on? I know it beeps on the Hobo bags considered beach bags which the coupon is not coded for, and at another store I bought these little purses that were not Hobo and were priced at $3.24, and the coupon still beeped. Is it beeping on all clearance regardless of price?
I went to GS tonight to do a missed coupon on a Hobo bag from last night. I bought 6 and only 5 coupons were scanned, so I brought an extra coupon to give them. The girl who checked me out last night was at the service desk and she said she was told I shouldn't have been able to use any of the coupons last night, because it was the wrong purse. i.e. all the info about copied coupons and how they have different numbers - that is obviously not true for the T coupons, and we've got plenty of legitimate company issued pdf coupons to show that not *all* coupons are like that. It just gets ridiculous.

DH found a recipe for "pizza" - it's basically like a cheesecake IMO - cream cheese + eggs + cheese + toppings baked in a pan. Sooooo need to stock up.
There's a sale at Kroger this week and if you buy 5 kraft cheeses you are "supposed" to get a $5 oyno - which would be nice, but it doesn't seem to be printing in my area for the cream cheese. GRRR...
