I found a tearpad at Kroger for "save $2 on any reach toothbrush." I'm thinking I should've grabbed more, but I got about 5. I may have to swing by after a T run tomorrow.
Ank.... you bad bad girl. Go grab the whole thing Wink

Rachael - vomit I think not getting toys from T will scar him more than losing part of his finger later in life though LMAO One of my sibs cut off part of her fingertip while slicing food a few months ago and I did it last year with a microplane grater - fingertip, cheese, it all looks the same on food Coverlaugh It took a while to heal and was VERY painful and tender in that spot for weeks, so just know that and don't be too worried if it the discomfort lasts for over a month.

efelicitity - I can't believe that......... what a frickin Censored I'd have said to that little girl "With that disadvantage of a mother you have, I wish you all the best in growing up to be a good person. It will make a great essay for your college applications... if you haven't run away from home first that is" ....

Hope everyone is doing well. So busy lately..hardly anytime to post/read/deal etc.

I have a lot of b2g1 starkist and b2g1 hungry jack. I seriously doubt I will use anymore. PM me if you want them!

Also have some bogo clorox if someone wants to try and use them.

1 week from my J.D. graduation! Yahoo! My last day of school is on my 5th anniversary. We have a babysitter for the night and a hotel room! Lots to celebrate! Whee

Then off to Anna Maria Island, FL for 2 whole weeks. Can't freaking wait.

hugs to all of you!

ETA: For the first time in 4 years, I missed a 75% toy clearance. I went by tonight and as I expected, they were marked down and almost OOS. Managed to find a couple TAG books and DIDJ games. Nothing like previous years. Sadwalk I guess it was a good thing since I am now officially out of Target GCs and Visas....

I still can't believe what just happened to me at T. I stopped by a T to get some soy milk and to check out C9 items this morning. I hadn't used a C9 coupon or Merona TQ whatsoever since the TQs came out and I wanted to check out the items. I was lucky enough to find a few marked-down C9 work-out clothes for myself. I also found two Merona handbags for the two refugee families that I have been helping out on.

I strolled down the toy aisle and surprised to see a huge mark-down team working there. I happened to stand right in front of 2 Tag Junior systems that were marked down to $8.84 (from $3x.xx). I was very excited because the parents of the two refugee families don't speak any English. I thought it would be great to buy the system to help the kids (2 yr, 5 yr, 10-month) of the 2 families learn English. I picked up one and put it in my cart. When I was about to pick up the other one, this woman snatched it off literally one second before my hand touched the package. I looked at her and said "Ma'am, I was just about to take that one." She said "But you didn't." I said "I was going to until you snatched it off." She said "It's right there and you did not grab it." She had her kid with her. I looked at her daughter and simply told the mother to keep it. If that's how she wants to be her daughter's role model, so be it.

I went on to grab a few more toys. When I was done with the toy aisles, I decided to go back to the Leapfrog section to check out the books. I made a huge mistake. I left my cart in the middle of the next aisle, instead of strolling it with me. By the time when I came back, my cart was GONE. I looked up and down every single aisle but couldn't find it. I got a few mark-dowon team members to help me. A few minutes later, I saw a team member with my C9 clothes and handbags walking to the clothes section. I stopped him and told him those were my items.

Someone grabbed all my toys. Took out all my C9 clothes and hangtags and threw them on the ground (a team member found them and picked them up). Tossed my 5 recycle bags that I have used for 5 years on one of the shelves in a toy aisle. As for my cart, it was gone.

I know it's my fault not to take my cart with me but I was only gone for less than a minute!!!!
hug M2C is right, you are too nice for toy clearance shopping! laugh out loud People get nasty!

Quote from rachael_9667 :
Hit T for the toy clearance today, I was the stalker behind the markdown team until............I hear a familiar scream from 2 aisles over and my middle daughter (8) yelling "He hurt his hand!!"

I leave my cart and go running to find my son (2) bleeding and crying with my DD crying and I pick up his hand to see what happened (by this time several T employees are surrounding us as they were back in toys already) and the tip of his finger was GONE. Weeping I don't even have to tell you mamas how I felt. I asked them to please call and ambulance, applied pressure, picked him up and went back to where DD said she & he were and found the piece of the finger.

Thank God it was mostly skin but it looks like a LOT when it's on a tiny little finger like his. It was behind the finger nail and about the size of 3/4 of the "pad" part of his left ring finger. They irrigated it and wrapped it w/Neosporin and gauze and said it would eventually fill back in. I held it together until after dh got there (we were 45 min from home) and DS rode home from the ER with him and then and only then did I cry.

My oldest DD (10) was just watching him but asked me if she could look at the books and switched with middle DD. They were just looking at the bikes, she said and DS crawled up in there and before she could even get him out, he was screaming. None of us have any idea what happened but I am assuming he put his hand in the chain/sprocket area and turned the pedal? That's right where I found the finger piece so I can only assume. It was a a "freestyle" bike which was right next to the little kid bikes (which have chain guards). I had no idea that could happen so be careful, mamas.
Shocking Poor baby!

Target toy clearance is dangerous to our physical and emotional health!!!

I don't play nice when people take MY stuff Evil

e Hug2 and Comfort for you.

Papa came to visit tonight, thanks to a kind SD'er. I'd never had PJ pizza before. I've got enough for another meal later too.

Can decide if I want to go to T to use my B1G1 Febreze Q (not the air effects one) or just use it at Kroger for the P&G rolloff. Scratchchin decisions, decisions.

Gator, my contractor's going on travel to a conference in Tampa, and staying on your island afterward (got a weekend rental).

rachael Prayers for healing for your little one. Comfort for you with all the stress today has brought.

My dh went over to my neighbor to try to pawn some off on her too and apparently she grows tomatoes in pots and is having the same problem....too many of 'em. Good problem to have but a problem nonethelesslaugh out loud Wish I knew if a local food pantry took fresh produce, may have to look into it. Weather has been less-than-ideal for growing too - waaaaaay to much rain. Finally decided I'd just let the blight go on mine for the season, between the rain and the fact that I inadequately spaced them, but they're still going strong. Everyone is fighting that around here. If anybody saw the national news story about a dam failing in Iowa that was right around this areanod And just as so many ppl were recovering from major flooding in 2008 too Sadwalk

Posted in the deals thread too but if anyone's store clearanced out the Tag Jr. hardware and you picked up an extra shoot me a PM. Got two books today almost-free AC and I know dd would love this. Kinda weird how it happens at some and not others!Annoyed

3rd vomit I hate when babies get hurt, makes me feel so unsteady.

DH and I were just talking about the time he broke my then 4 y/o DS#1's arm - both forearm bones at a 45 degree angle -- Wasn't really DH, ds was actually just stepping off his training wheeled bike and feel sideways and crunch. DH carried both DS and his little bike the 5 blocks back home to get me. Where I then had to swallow my vomit upon seeing my mangled baby.

Will his fingerprint come back?
This is exactly how I feel/felt. If I wasn't pregnant, I'd be drunk by now laugh out loud Doc said his fingerprint will always be funny so I told him no bank robbing. At least not w/o gloves. Stick Out Tongue

Well, at least I didn't get anything stolen out of my cart in the turmoil LOL They saved it for me and I came back after the ER to pay woot (DS rode home with daddy)

Rachel, hope your little one is feeling better tonight hug How scary that must have been.

Not to make light of your story, but your finger story reminded me of the time my friend was cooking dinner (soup) and while chopping veggies, she included her finger. She called me frantic, her husband was taking her to the ER to get it stitched up (she couldn't find the finger part). Anyway, she asked me to come over and watch the kids for her. So, I did. I cleaned up in the kitchen and finished the soup (minus the veggies that she was cutting at the time). I never found the finger either. The kids asked me where the finger went. I told them "in the soup", we're having "finger soup". My friend got home from the ER and I went along my way. Not long after I got home, the phone was ringing, she had put dinner on the table and the kids refused to touch it. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Before you think I am too horrible, we used to pull gags on each other all the time and I just couldn't resist, and the kids managed to grow up unaffected in spite of me
Glad you got in on some clearance - sounds like there was a ton at your store! And, no I don't think you're morbid LOL You actually sound a lot like a relative laugh out loud This was nothing compared to what you've been through with Joel, BTW ((Hugs))

You are SO right! High Five I loaded that kid up for Christmas and broke out a few already for mama guilt LOL

That's good to know on the healing - I was wondering and the ER doc was just like "kids are resiliant and it'll heal fast" - I was wondering what his definition of 'fast' was. Mine is next week. nod

Rachael... benadryl is helpful for sleep... Big Grin j/k... sort of... hug Poor darling. The good thing is that kids really do tend to heal much faster than adults. He'll probably have a sore spot for a while, but overall he'll heal pretty quickly. Just keep an eye on it for infections and what not - easy to get in summer when you are an active kiddo.

tm4d - have you thought about canning or freezing them - you can make some spaghetti sauce out of the excess. Or make some home made salsa...

I can't believe I've barely seen any home grown tomatoes this year.

I am planning a T run tomorrow... or 2... dunno. I definitely need to get some Krogering done too. Ugh ugh ugh. I wonder if I could somehow manage to put away a little cash each month to save up for the infamous toy clearances. I wonder if our store is at 75% or not. They tend to be behind everyone else.

I am tired, but can't sleep well. It's annoying. I'm also way moody. Cranky and grumpy the past few days. Is that hormones, lack of sleep, little of everything? Blah.

Efelicity, all I can say is Karma................

I'm searching for a deal on Command hooks for 1.50 at Wags this week but not finding it. Can someone elaborate or did I dream this up?

Already did salsa! Thought about spaghetti sauce, looked up some recipes - looked waaaaaaaay too complicated for me. And it always seems like we get that soooo cheap anyway. My MIL cans but she is going out-of-country in the next couple days so the timing was bad. And BTW I *thought* I would like them fresh, perhaps with a little bit of mozzarella melted on top - hated them. Some of my tastes have changed drastically since being preggers with dd and after I had the brain injury 6 mos. later. Couldn't stand the taste of chocolate for the longest time after thatHuh I'll still take vanilla over chocolate any day now - used to be exactly opposite.

Thought about just making some sort of tomato base that I could use to make a multitude of things...we'll see. Maybe I will find my creativity in the next few daysWink Gotta get to bed if that's gonna happenLMAO 'Night all!!
