Ank's been in the Kroger thread today, so I'm doubtful baby Mavis made it here today, unless it was late this afternoon or tonight.

I think some people are NUTS.
There's a friend of mine who's gonna drive the 34 miles one way to double coupon at Kmart in Decatur, AL next week. I think the limit is $1.00 Q that they will double and limit to five coupons. Whoop de doo. What about her gas to and from? SO NOT WORTH IT!

I did tell her to stop by Aldi's to check out the produce if she goes all the way over there. They have ONE Publix in the entire town (with my old Meridianville Manager).

There is a T, but not a ST there (and she doesn't know anything that we know about T anyway Evillaugh ).

I'm not that crazy but I have been 340 miles from home for 4 weeks now just to bitchslap target.

Crazy? Who, me? Nah.

Everyone needs to come up here and we can rent the entire 1st floor of the hotel.

Yesterday my friend that was with me here got into an accident on the highway. How she managed to survive is beyond me. Someone dropped a mattress in the middle of the highway, in her lane, and she lost control when she swerved to miss it. Anyhow, long story short, she weaved backwards through oncoming traffic and hit the concrete median dividing the highway. Her car is pretty smashed up but she walked away without as much as a scratch.

On the topic of PJ's:

1) Customer service seems so horrible anymore. Whatever happened to 'the customer is always right?' or, at least, 'the customer is right most of the time?' LMAOlaugh out loud I am 25....I always wonder what older/elderly people think about the lack of customer service anymore.

2) Found a recipe online on how to make PJ's pizza sauce and since I have all of the tomato puree to figure out what to do with went ahead and tried it. yummy Turned out pretty good!

Anybody every heard of Norwex???? I got invited to a party this week - looked up some of the prices and Faint soooooo expensive. I always feel bad for not going but I can't fathom paying the prices for some of that stuff!! It's organic cleaning/household-type stuff, which I'm not all that much into anyway unless it's free or cheap!

Wow...she's lucky to have survived, much less just walk away without a scratch...

And the most hilarious news of the day - two months ago, one of our yard sale signs was stolen. It affected our sales severely, as it was the one right out on the main road, pointing to our house, and we have no idea how long it was gone before we noticed it. I was so upset, but hubby was even more so. He vowed he would always be on the lookout, and whenever he saw it, he swore he'd take it back. (ours are rather distinctive - we took election signs after last fall's election, turned the plastic inside out, and have neon posterboard signs stapled with black words and arrows, no way to confuse ours with someone else's) So around 7:30 this morning, my sister called and said she thought she had seen our sign on a road near her house (she lives a couple miles from us, in the same general neighborhood). Hubby went out to get change and drove by that street, and lo and behold!, it was OUR SIGN!!

Never have I seen a prouder hubby than when he walked around the corner balancing two McD's iced teas and our yard sale sign, grinning from ear to ear. Big Grin
That's hilarious about the collection of the stolen sign...HATE when someone likes your sign and decides to take them....we had 3 really great ones that were metal and all that we use each time and this last time they were all taken but one....sooooo hoping to find them out someday!!

I went against my usual thoughts, and posted my response to people accusing others.. guess I may want to avoid that thread for awhile now. gotta love the deals thread
Me too!!! I wish she'd get here already - although, right now I'm tired enough that the thought of labor makes me want to cry.

Roll deals is always... interesting...

Just the other day I swiped my hand on an advertisement hanging off the pantene aisle at T. a flap of skin peeled off my hand and it was bleeding pretty badly. I had to buy some dora bandaids asap to take care of it.

Yep Yep! I second that. Ate some, went for a walk and bam! Out came a baby! : D
[snip]
I never guessed for Ank: 8/24 - 6:53AM- 8lb 2 oz. Smilie
EEK! I hope your hand is better. My toe was feeling better until I kicked the dumb baby/dog gate this evening. GRRRRR

Oh, and on the due date guess... Jawdrop Crying2 I thought we were friends... Sadwalk

LMAO

So... if baby holds out, it sounds like lunch on Monday will be egg plant parm and a tall glass of castor oil & oj.

Ank--how ya doing?

How are YOU doing??? It's good to see you!!

Have we seen Ank in here today
I did a fly by in the AM in the Kroger thread, but otherwise I've been out of the house most of the day. Went shopping, then went to a friends house for pool volleyball. Well, I didn't play, but DH and oldest did while I tried to coral the very over-tired toddler. At one point, DH suggested I take her home and he'd catch a ride. I took her in the house and thought if I rocked her for a bit and lay on the couch that maybe she'd konk out and sleep for a bit - but shake head. And after trying to get her to rest, I was to stinking tired to drive safely. We got home at around 8:30ish, gave the toddler a bath, and by 9:30 I was passed out.

I soooo wanted to do more shopping. LOL.

Quote from Nikayla :
No, not that I know of, she must be having the baby!!!
I so wish... this baby is way too stubborn.

WARNING - MIGHT BE TOO MUCH INFORMATION...

but I *did* loose my mucous plug this morning. Yay! (not that that necessarily means that much)

Quote from schrakat :
ever since Ank mentioned her craving for McDonald's fries, they have been on my mind.
I came sooo close to getting some tonight, but stopped at Sonic. I wish I'd gone for McD's fries...

That would be fun - to descend on T like a hoard... a plague of... couponers!!! laugh out loud

And wow on your friend. I am glad to hear that she is okay - but boy, I can only imagine how shaken up she must be. I'm always scared of driving behind folks with big loads in their vehicles. Just the other day some dork was driving with several huge yard-waste sized bags of cans in the back of his truck - all stuffed full and the bags totally open. Cans were just flying off here and there. Some folks have no good sense.

Those big trucks carrying cars also freak me out - even though I know they are chained and whatnot.

I got up to pee and find something for this dumb congestion. I hate being stuffed up!!

Flu - that's pretty nifty about getting your sign back. I can't believe folks have such nerve as to steal a yard sale sign!!! Seriously makes you wonder.

So I've read the Publix thread for this week and printed as many coupons as I could for the BOGOs. Luckily, a lot of the BOGO items are on my vacation shopping list! bounce But my question is: are there any other deals that are hidden or that have been ongoing for a long time and not mentioned often. I really can't devote much more time preparing for runs since I still have to pack for 4 people. Yes, DH makes me pack for him too...like I have nothing else to do.

Hitting T in Tampa as soon as we land to get some essentials but after that, I won't see a T for a couple of weeks. Faint There is Supertarget within 20 miles but it took 2 hours to get there last time because of the beach roads. Not wasting a whole day for what might be a bug run. shake head

Any publix info would be great! hug

Basically 4 sales running all the time:
Weekly ad: Here
Green Advantage Flyer: Here
Yellow Advantage Flyer: Here
Essentials:Here

Weekly sneak peek will be up tomorrow night. Sale will start Thursday in FLA.

New yellow advantage flyer just started on Saturday.

I almost Guarantee that the essentials will change this week, as we've never had essentials that went over 4 weeks (so what's listed there may change on Thursday for FLA).

eFelicity normally does a Dealz and Stealz post, but it was done by jdrodgers1013 this week; Here

BOGO is a true BOGO in FLA (and not half price like it is in most of GA, SC, TN and AL)

Can combine a Publix Q and a MQ together OR a competitor Q and a MQ together, but register will beep if you have more Qs than items (can be overridden by a manager). Each district sets who their competitors are (mine's rule is if they don't sell fresh [raw] meat, then they aren't a competitor). Must have a Yellow or Green Advantage flyer Q for EVERY item needed (ie, not like wags where you just need one for the entire lot).

About all I know on the subject right now. Hope this helps.

qqueen, mama2cole, eFelicity, fireflymuse, love2beeamom, .teri. and more in this thread all shop at P.

So I threw together another yard sale today, and considering it was gorgeous weather and the tax-free holiday, I think I did fairly well. $330. Traffic was very slow, so I feel blessed to have done that well. Razors moved very well today, after having sat for a while. Shampoo and toothpaste also moved very well. And slowly but surely, my Strawberry Shortcake bandaids are moving. Cereal is a steady seller, as are granola bars. I definitely need more cleaning supplies, though. Need to hit up Safeway for their Scrubbing Bubbles and Pledge Multi-Surface.

And the most hilarious news of the day - two months ago, one of our yard sale signs was stolen. I can't beleive CS anymore - or should I say the LACK of CS now a days. I refuse to shop at the closest local Food Lion on CS principle alone.

and on the home party thing. Just going to the party could possibly 'help' your friend that is hosting it. Plus It shows what a good friend you are Big Grin

But... if this baby doesn't hurry up and come by tomorrow afternoon, I think I am going to have to go out and get some more pudding. *someone* seems to be eating a lot of it...
