I think the time it annoys me most is at bedtime. I will start around 9p trying to get the kids into their showers, bookbags ready for school, clothes laid out, agendas signed, double-check homework, dogs let out, doors locked, ect.. I have to get up for work around 4am (it used to be 2am until T changed the time of our trucks), DH doesn't get up till 7am, but by the time I have all my stuff done so I can go to bed, my DH is walking into the bathroom for his stinky 20 min. sabbatical, So, then I have to either wear a gas mask, or go use the kids bathroom, just so I can finally go to bed. He just decides that he wants to go to bed, and walks in and lays down. I wish my life was that easy Embarrassment

At least he takes the kids to school in the morning, but that means everything has to be ready the night before, so he just wakes them up and goes to get his shower. They are "magically" ready and waiting for him when he comes out to take them to school. It's a miracle Wink
maybe our dh are related Scratchchin

I am sure I will get slapped for this.. but..

My DH actually does more than I do, at the moment. Since I have been going to San Antonio so much he has picked up the reins and taken over. When I'm not home he does it all. When I am home, he still does quite a bit of it. He cleans the house, cooks on occassion, changes diapers, gives baths, puts kids to bed, rolls around and plays with them, plays outside with the kids, etc etc.

He's always been a big active parent in their lives and taken a lot of the burden off of me.

That said, it isn't always a ray of golden sunshine here. For about 5 years I was the one doing it all. On top of all of the chores, parenting, and finances, I went to college full time.

He has enjoyed being home full time with the kids and I think some people are annoyed at the idea. We are the lucky few in this predicament and I know it will soon change so we are both enjoying it.

Problem is, I've become the breadwinner and it is very hard for me to stop. I enjoy making the money.

Good evening everyone,
I finally picked up some Simply Juice today, and was considering freezing some. Has anyone ever tried this?

I figure I'll unscrew the cap, peel back the foil a bit, and freeze that way for expansion. Then once it's frozen, I'll replace the cap.

Thoughts? TIA!

I finally found some of the elusive $3.24 Merona Flip Flops. Only in a size 5, but they fit my 7-year-old DD (she's big for her age), and they should fit her next year too. They are a little big, but with flip flops, it doesn't really matter. Also had some cute Merona Mary Janes with a strap for $6.24 - so $3.24 AC.
What size does she wear in little girls? or is there a little girl size at the same time. I know my boys go from toddler shoes to 12 13 1 2 3 4 5 but there really isnt much difference between a boys style and a mans style sneaker - women on the other had....so these 7 y/o little girls go from wearing cute little mary janes to stripper heels???? EEK! j/k My DD#3 age 5 is going into K this year and we hit up the T clearance for new school shoes and she refused to 'like' anything w/out a heel! at 5. She calls them her high heels.

Quote from Bargainscout :
With all the hoopla in the deals thread [& LDL7's possible bogus post], maybe we need to start a color-coded advisory system for SD - T similar to the attached.
Oh my YES! that would be great and anyone that is brave enought to even go over to thedeals thread can come give us the ranking. laugh out loud

The friggin hot glue gun. Mad
I want to see pics. I, too, am crafty an I love the headbands with big flowers on them and little bows. I have been getting a 10 pack of plastic headbands from the DollarTree and glue the cutie things on them....I could probibly wrap them with ribbon too.

Hey all.Staying out of deals until the storm blows over. Started a new job at another restaurant and I am just beat this week. Need to organize my Q's for a run tomorrow. I was really upset about the MPP's but thne today, while I was scrubbing a bathtub no less, I had an idea. My printer prints in color. The coupons are not individually barcoded. Yeah it might waste paper but...I'll pay for paper with my overage. Big Grin
You get overage. Sadwalk

It is only bad when you are relativly the same as them. I had a newborn when I was in college.

You know it's a slow night when my DH is watching commercials! OMG We've had a Tivo or DVR for the past 6 years, and haven't watched many commercials since then. Yes, we are those snobby people who will do something for 10-15 mins before starting a show, just so we can FF thru the commercials.
Ha, I am so one of those people too.

I don't even know how to get started doing that though. Both of my kids that are in school are in preK and K.
So do I but I just can't make friends with these weirdos here in the south. laugh out loud

Slap j/k

My DH plays with the kids all the time, and does experiments (he's currently on this kick to build a Tesla Coil), but doesn't help with any of the mundane stuff.

All I can say Jamie is: You Go Girl!!

My DH and I had a month or so where he was unemployed and I was working earlier this year. I wish he would have picked up the slack, but I would come home to find nothing done and more of a mess than when I left. Then he couldn't understand why I was so upset when it was 9p before I finally got to sit down for a few mins before going to bed to get up at 4am the next day. My DH is so clueless (or not, but pretends to be).

Am I the only one here eating MP Fruit Snacks and drinking my Juicy Juice?

Long week at work. Detectives crawling all over the place going through my co-workers stuff, like CSI up in there, long boring trainings and too little sleep. I need to get to Target and test the waters. I hope my q's are still working.

Anyone having any more problems with bogo's?

My DD wears a 3 in girls, which I think may be the same as a 5 womens, but not sure.

I posted it in Deals, but it kinda just blew over. No one seems to be there or care tonight.

Me, too but I tend not to like people IRL. I'm thinking it's small town sh*t that really causes it but I don't like very many people and can't imagine who around here I'd wanna spend time with Big Grin

Yeah, 5 minutes for popcorn, 3 minutes to get drinks, 2 minutes to get comfy, 54 seconds to find the remote, and 6 seconds to get a quickie in before the show begins.

Probably because it takes hours of planing on my part, snacks we may need, clothes, coats, umbrellas, ect.. and my DH just takes his shower, gets dressed, and says, "Are you guys ready to go yet". Meanwhile, I've been up for 2 hours before him (and on and off during the night worrying about things I may forget) struggling to get everything ready, and making multiple trips to the car (and we live in a 2-story house that the top story is the main living area, so that's two flights of stairs), while he and the kids take only themselves to the car. By the time we get going, I'm already exhausted and cranky.

But maybe that's just me as a mom Smilie

You pretty much just described my life to a T. Although, very recently - dh started taking over a FEW things. One of which is "cooking" - what he is doing is actually grilling but to hear him talk, he's been slaving all day in a hot kitchen. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) He's gone to 3 school functions, one for each kid, already this year (but I doubt there'll be anymore until next year lol) and he does stay on the kids about homework so maybe there is hope. Mostly, though, being the "house manager/household product procurer" Big Grin is my full time job and it is every bit of 8 hours a day+

My DH does that occasionally. Of course, when I make dinner, it's cooking, cleaning off the table, setting it, getting food to it, and clean up afterwards, and put the dishes in the dishwasher. When he does it, it's cooking the meat, asking me, "are you going to make any sides", and eating. laugh out loud

I generally don't like people IRL either. I've always been the really shy kid, and it's transfered into adulthood. That, and I generally don't have the same interests as other people around me.
