I'm going again this morning to get some of the 4 gb Lexar Drives for $2.99 after TQ (College Essentials 2010 Book - which is the one I RAOK to people a few weeks ago).
I was on the receiving end of 1 of those RAOKs. That was very sweet of you & I do appreciate it. My boys need those drives for school, & I held off on getting it until I got the coupon. I wanted to say thanks again & I owe you.

On another note ds fever came back last night it appears they are now every 3 weeks apart versus every 4 weeks, I wish he would just grow out of it already, I'm tired of watching my rambunctious little boy turn in to a lifeless little boy every month, its just heartbreaking.
Awww hug I am sorry to hear that. My DD hasn't had a fever since school started, but she has had a cough, strep (w/o fever, which is weird), and general stuffiness.

She has also broken out (again) with acne on her face (she is 7!), she's had bumps on her arms since she was 2 (I forget the technical name, but they call it "chicken-skin") and for the last 6 months she's been getting small warts on her hand and skin tags under her arms! Poor child has the body of a 60-year-old!

I tell the doctor, and he just says, "It can't be acne, it has to be something else." Great! Then what the hell is it? She gets white pimples all over her nose and cheeks. Her doctor is useless. Can't wait till Oct. and we get decent insurance!

This is freakin hilarious!

I have a few things to say first off this was obviously a joke as we were making cracks at ltl7 post, such as sound the alarm, etc. (I know I was there Grin)

Any members who didn't just happen to chime in a few days ago when are beloved mpps were pulled knows that several sders like to post and crack jokes, another great example: "chef barney style", in the deals thread to liven things up when deals are slim, etc.

As for being mean and taking food our of your families mouth, oh please so we disrupted your s@g for a day or so. no one here is really mean we just all have dark sense of humors that's all, so please go back to your lurking and stfu already*snip
wave

I was going to leave it alone but since you are so eloquent with words:

1. I'm not a S & G
2. I KNEW it was a JOKE! Some did not!!!!!! No one bothered to post a correction with all the gaiety and lonely commiseration going on. When I saw the post this morning, I let people know.
3. The other jokes you are so proud of with your DARK sense of humor were not funny either. People were/are really worried.
4. I'm sorry you are lonesome and without friends. Perhaps if you GOT A LIFE off of here you may be a little happier!
5. "STFU" Really! I bet that makes your mama proud.
6. Sincerely sorry your DS is ill. Hope he is feeling better soon.

How dare anyone make a joke. These lurkers have families to feed and they rely on the regulars to do it for them. How dare anyone come in and upset their neat little system of leeching off others. The nerve!
I agree there are leechers. There are many regulars who are kind and helpful. I also admit it gets very old reading the same questions over and over BUT that is not what I was talking about.

I was talking about posting false information for no other reasons than to give some a few chuckles

I know some do not like to share info and like to keep it to PM's.Wink

Poor girl that's a lot of issues to deal with at such a young age. And drs are so annoying they like to give useless text book answers, instead of making and effort to figure out the real issues. As soon as your better ins. Kicks in I would set up all the appoints she missed out on, like with a dermatoligist for her skin issues etc.. Maybe even the hemogloblin specialist to see if you can get her fevers figured out too. Its hard when all you want is your childs happiness and the only thing holding them back is there health. hug

Interesting how only one person really got riled up over that, compared to the sheer number of people that read the thread. I guess the social worker in me feels bad and wants to make everything right...but that's just not what people always need. Isn't there some saying about fish and fishing and blah blah blah that's applicable here?*snip
My point was a bad joke taken too far. I did not say nor do I believe people should be handed anything. In my field I see too much of that expectation.

I can make & print my own mpp. I will admit I did use and appreciated Jujuli's and HDDVDTV's work on making them and listing them so neatly in the wiki and did take advantage of them.worship I will sorely miss the mpp's.

Also one more point. Before my posts were moved to TCC they had started to earn reps. I wasn't looking for reps. Several comments left were appreciative. I only made 2 posts. I believe if my posts would have stayed in deals, I would have gotten more reps. To me, this proves I am not the only bothered by this.

People are afraid to make comments and to contribute.

couple thoughts:

1. food sensitivity/allergy - try eliminating - don't laugh too loud - corn, wheat, dairy, sugar - and their derivatives - for a few days (preferably a week) see how it goes. then add one of back per day and see how she responds.

2. chicken skin bump on back of arms - often result from an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. dh had the same issue - gave him good doses flax/walnut - and his cleared up Smilie also - there are fish oil based supplements - ensure they are mercury-free for your little one

3. skin tags - often result of blood sugar regulation issues - see #1 above - especially elminate refined sugars

Thanks for the info! I will work on that. She has been allergy tested a few years ago, but I think it was just the standard scratch test, nothing food related. Weird thing happened after the test. It was all negative, but any time she had processed food (namely hot dogs) for the next week, she had an allergic reaction. Then it just went away. Dontknow

You know what I honestly could care less what you think about me,this is the first time I've have ever seen you in tcc or deals, and your first post is how eveyones a bunch of meanies etc. About a harmless joke that was barely even acknowledge. A retraction was intended to be posted but wasn't since no one seemed to care, it was assumed everyone knew it was a harmless joke, for those that are always in the deal thread we are all aware of everyones sense of humor. I am sure the only way you found this thread is due to the knew updates that tell you when your being quoted.

I didn't mean to get your panties in a bunch when I said stfu, but after barely any sleep and a ds who is sick yet again, at this point in my day that's how I am feeling I am tired of all the whining about target making us take mpps out, and receiving random pms about joining a secret society to get those ever so valuable mpps. and how are mpps being taken away is basically the end of targeting all together.

And as for making my mom proud or how you think I don't have a life or any friends, you aren't any better then me, and your post proves it. I offended you and in self defense you are trying to do the same back to me.

And Thanks for your fake sincerity on my sick ds, I bet you have no clue why he has fevers or what is really going on in this thread. Why don't you do yourself a favor and read back 10 or 20 pages so you actually no what's going on with everyone here In the tcc thread.

Virtual Box is really easy, it has a set-up wizard. Main things you need are a Windows Install disk with CD Key, and about 10 gigs of free hard drive on your computer. Everything else is cake Big Grin
I have my setup disk somewhere (the one that came with this computer), but I'm always afraid to use it for anything because I fear I will accidentally wipe my hard drive or something.

I have a question about a coupon for a skilled TCC (preferrably one of the meanies that post alot and whose name I would recognize....LOL!!!). I would like to keep it in PM's for now, so as not to cause a stir. So if you are willing to help, please send me a PM and I will reply with my question.

Oh, and my 2 cents worth about the "mean" people here......when I first started reading both the Target threads, I thought you all were the meanest and snobbiest of all the slickdeals kingdom. Big Grin It took about a week to figure out ya'lls warped sense of humor! Actually, most of the folks here are SUPER nice, but they don't take no SH*T either. Thanks to all of you who help when I have questions about coupons and such! I truly appreciate it! hugheart

How can something be "taken too far" when there was little (if any) response to it?

Good grief, this feels like middle school again.

I was being sincere about your DSheart
I do read. As I said in my post I have been around since the "spicey" days. I believe somewhere around 2006?

I will admit the STFU comment is what made me "come back out of the woodwork". I will go back because I really don't want to bicker.

All I wanted to do was to let others in on the jokeSmilie
Perhaps I shouldn't have made the comment about being mean spirited, but honestly reading the last couple of days, that is how it came off.

Please get some rest and take care of your child. I do wish you the best and certainly to your DS.

That is the beauty of Virtual Box. No matter what you do to it, it's a completely separate machine that runs on your desktop. You can do whatever you like to it, and it won't affect your regular machine at all. If you mess up your virtual machine, just format it and start over. It's kinda cool how I have Linux running on my laptop, but can pull up a window on my desktop and run XP. At least I think so.

I'm going to try setting up another virtual machine, to see if I can run 2 (and potentiality more) "machines" at once. That's my plan for tonight, right now I am making ice cream cone cupcakes for our potluck at work tomorrow.
