I got bored, so I went and threw a bone to the Deal hounds. I gave them the Mountain Dew deal.

I printed out the coupon for the Giada stuff, one of the items it specifies is pasta, so:
Buy 3 Giada Pasta @ $2.09/ea
Giada Coffee Free w/ 3 Pasta TQ ($6.59 value)
So $6.27 for 3 boxes of Pasta & Coffee
Expires 9-11-10

This is the best deal I see for the coupon. The items listed that qualify on the coupon are:
Vinagrette
Coffee
Pasta
Sauce
Pesto

Yep, that was me. Thanks! I can't believe I am almost out. I was so stocked up with the MH TQ. I hope we get a good coupon soon.

Jilly was it you asking about coffee? I've still got some from the last good q. Hopefully as the holidays get closer we'll get some more stovetop q's. There's a 1.50 Starbucks q in one of the Publix magazines. Maybe they'll have a SB gc deal soon too.

I haven't bought one Sobe this summer. I had so many last year I don't ever want to see another vomit

All eyes on Earl tonight. Pray he turns and misses the coast altogether.

I guess I dwell on all the stuff that I didn't do today that I would normally do.

Not too bad. I'd probably try a set for that price. Maybe some of the other stuff will go on tpc or markdown.

OMG! That's nuts! Even if the cashier was ringing up 1 bottle of Sobe every 30 seconds, that means it took 2 1/2 hours straight to ring up that one customer's 300 bottles. EEK!
I haven't read all the follow-up posts but I'm guessing that it was a 'qty' transaction and maybe the coupons were a 'qty' transaction as well... who knows. OR, it could all be BS. That's always a possibility (not saying the poster is lying, maybe the store clerk is exaggerating).

I purposely responded to the poster that wanted a condensed version of all the info, via private group, by telling him/her that the deals were in the Wiki and there were the daily recaps.

Was thanked, but told I didn't understand the question.

I read the question as a request of the OP to not to have to bother with reading the posts, etc. such as the rest of us do. It came across to me as an entitlement issue, which does not set well with me. I guess there's supposed to be a CliffsNotes version for special folks. [Do they still publish CliffsNotes?]

That post on top of the other idiotic posts just set me off.

Don't worry BB! I went through Walmart SCO and bought some Charmin that was on sale. The big 18 packs are exactly $10 Cool
We don't really have many WMs around here, but I found one that was down by a T I go to sometimes. Anyway, I went there a while back to use up the last of my $2 pampers wipes MQs. I'd always laughed at the "people of walmart" site, but I was shocked to see that those people were actually in my walmart... each.and.every.one.of.them!

Time to go up a size or two in the diapers M2C vomit

This year though... it was bad. A pile of gift wrapped fail.

I got a box of "gourmet" hot chocolate from my DBF... when it was over 90 degrees out. That was all he gave me - plus I still have boxes and boxes of Swiss Miss from last year.

His family gave me assorted jewelry - after I had told them only last month I don't like to wear any.

Facepalm
At least you know what you can give them back at christams! Big Grin

Went to T today with my wife and the baby. He started fussing so my wife scooped him out of the car seat to carry him.
We were almost done with our shopping when my son decides to take a big poop. Poop was all over the front of my wife's shirt and the baby's legs. We might need to move him up a size in diapers.

I found it hilarious but my wife did not. Looks like I'm cooking a special make-up meal tonight.
Uh, I'd say you need to go up more than just one size in diapers with an explosion like that!

I hope Myluvjustice's DD has better luck than my kids. Both of my youngest ones have been tested for SCOPE (as it's known here), my DS twice, at their teacher's recommendations, and I have always gotten the rejection letter. My DS, I can understand, he is very smart and ahead of his class, but he is also lazy when it comes to school work, Part of it, I think is boredom, but I can see where that may be a factor.

My DD, I don't understand. Neither do any of her teachers. She just started 2nd grade (she was tested the end of last school year, and they sent me the rejection letter a few days after school was closed for the summer). She is reading at a 5th grade level, doing 4th grade math, and loves school and doing school work. She does all of her weeks homework as soon as she gets home from school on Monday (on her own). She is also a very good girl and school, and is always getting "paw prints" and getting her name in the "caught doing good" jar. She got 1 wrong total out of all of her CRCT testing last year.

I called last week to have a "conference" with the SCOPE teacher about DD's test results, as the rejection letter instructed. The teacher called me back 2 days later, explained that she had to pass 3 of the 4 tests they gave her last year and that my DD had probably only passed 1 or 2 (but didn't know for sure). Confused I felt like saying, "Really Sherlock! I could have figured that out on my own!" After giving me no real information, she asked for my DDs CRCT scores, and hung up. I don't know if she is checking into it (she said several times during the conversation that she would have to pull the file in the office, but never said she would actually do it) or not.

Sorry, it's really a point of frustration with me. For now, I just rely on her teachers, who have been giving her "SCOPE" work since Kindergarten anyways, and the extra work she likes to do at home. Good thing is, she's very motivated to show her brother up, and likes to do his 4th grade homework too.
Thanks for the warm wishes, I hope dd does well, she is alot like your dd over acheiver teachers pet, etc. she was so ready for summer to end so she could go back to school, she is the only kid I know who wants summer to go by faster so she can get back to school LMAO. She was tested in 2nd grade and she was reading at a 6th grade level, and has always had all A' s. SCOPE sounds alot like GATE, In the letter I received she has to score in the 98 percentile and above, anything below requires additional testing. Im not exactly sure what kinds of tests these are, I guess I will find out once they schedule the testing. Im excited, and she is too.

Quote from MelinMO :
What kind of tests are the 4 they use? The only actual test we use to qualify kids is an IQ test (currently we're using the WISC IV). We test any kid that is referred by a teacher or a parent.

I'm PMing you in a minute...
Any insight would be helpful, Barney style please Stick Out Tongue

In all fairness...I shop for my local food pantry. So let's say that Shaw's has cake mix on sale and I can score a good deal. I talk with the manager, tell her I would 300 boxes and I have q's. She usually tells me, no problem, I will order from the warehouse and call you when they come in. She knows that we do this for the food pantry. When they come in, I go in, they open a separate lane and I stand there buying all 300 with my coupons. Then the guys from the pantry load it up. I actually showed my food pantry how to shop with coupons. They asked the church parishoners to donate their Sunday coupons and they do and I get 1/3 of them each week. We have several shoppers from the food pantry who shop based up what I tell them we should do. Typically the other shoppers only shop for food. I shop for food and drug store items. I keep what we will use and then send the rest to the pantry for the clients. Works out very well and makes me feel good that I am helping someone less fortunate.
