Sorry I'm so out of the loop - both computers died at the same time so I'm on a sketchy PC waiting for the crash. Embarrassment

What's the worst birthday gift you've ever received?

My grandma gave me a green sweater with birds ironed onto it. Around the birds was glitter.

I was afraid to wear it for fear I'd get shot.
LMAO Mine was from my step-monster the first Christmas after my xdh and I separated and she got a personalized painting with just mine and my girls' names on it. Basically saying, I know no one will ever marry you and this will be hanging on the wall until you die. I threw it in the trash, oak frame and all. I hate that woman.

The good deal is really at Hy-Vee on cereal through today (or tomorrow depending on when your ad ends)! Did you get any yet?? I think I am up to 72 boxes (some will get donated) because it's a money-maker. I think if I bring in any more dh might think I've lost it.
I'm not even allowed to speak of how many boxes are now in the den but I do thank you for posting that deal. I used the cats to buy HV gc's that I then used to fill up so I could keep driving around to other HV's buying more cereal.

Quote from dreemedayze :
eh, just some freaky weird deal that has left me more confused than anything.
SEE?!? We really are twins except you can def. take more caffeine than me. I took one of those gas station caffeine pills with a hornet on the package? And I felt like crap for 2 days. I won't go near energy drinks for that reason. But, I can drink an amazing amount of alcohol with much less side effect than most people. Dontknow

Quote from dreemedayze :
hey all, I ended up back at the ER shortly after I posted earlier. They still don't know what's wrong. My sugar in the ambulance was 94. They don't think it's sugar, thyroid panel was fine, all labs normal. I have an appointment with an endocrinologist first thing tomorrow morning.

They think I'm a meth addict. I don't do drugs. I'm exhausted. I'll come back later to post. Nothing worse than the entire world thinking you're a drug addict nutjob. Something is effin wrong with me but noone knows what.
I am laughing my damn ass off about them thinking you are a user - one time I ended up in the ER for an ovarian cyst that I thought was just back pain. At the time, I was taking a prescription diet pill (phentermine). Apparently, it also shows up in the lab as methadone. Roll I am so country I didn't even know what methadone WAS but I was sure I wasn't on it. Took them a while to figure that one out and I was humiliated. I'm like NO, I told you - I've never taken drugs and never been to rehab. They were looking at me like a tweeking lunatic. Crazy

Please do not let me start a rumor.... but, doesn't it stand to reason that if a person can now only print 2 TQ that the stores may start only taking 2 of each? I realize some stores already take only one per "identical transaction" but, now it could change things in the other stores.... I guess I best be going and doing a few Sobe purchases, just in case it happens. Have a bunch of coupons already printed, so.... might as well.

Rofl2 on both the cereal and the methadone.....but not on the cyst! I had one once that was so big and painful they had to surgically remove it.

Aww I am so sorry to hear of everyone's trips to the ER, they are the sucks!!!

I am exhausted even though it was a pretty mellow day with the kids and having a party at home for our dd. I need to finish back to school shopping but am dragging arse to get it done... yuck!?! My dd's jeans always are a pain to buy as my one dd just lost some of her baby belly *she's now 8 and then my other dd is tall but really thin... so jeans shopping is a challenge.

Other than that.. I am trying to finish cleaning up our house throughly so it will be all neat but shopping, taking care of kids and dh is getting in the way LOL

Good morning all.

Anyone else have swagbucks? What is it called when you win SBs, but have to enter those 3 letters in order to claim it? I think it's captcha?

Well, today is the first day of school here. And the first round of SBs I won earlier this morning came with the captcha letters : PBJ. laugh out loud

Thinking of all of you closer to Earl. They're predicting heavy rain and winds for us tomorrow. Dh brought in the outdoor furniture, small items, etc, last night. Keeping fingers crossed for everyone!

Does anyone have any Amazon diaper codes to trade for a W? Trying to get an order in tonight for my son and only have W's. Went to three stores looking for different codes in the Parents magazine and nothing.
That would be b/c there are only W's in the Parents Magazine. The S's are in "Parenting-The Early Years" bulb

Quote from dreemedayze :
Believe it or not, I was able to print minimum 30 of those Sobe and haven't used ONE. They were tossed earlier this afternoon.
Shocking I could cry. DH and kids (and I) drink so much Sobe that it is pathetic. I somehow managed to miss the multiple print thing so I've been playing the &*^$%$^% game just to win ONE bogo per day. laugh out loud

Quote from ank220 :
I think I have overdone it a little bit. I am a bit more emotional than I thought I'd be - and with a sick toddler, demanding baby, and crazy adjusting hormones - I should probably be more laid back than what I was today/yesterday. It's so hard to make myself do nothing though. Frown
Comfort Having a new baby around is so exhausting! Try to take care of you though as much as you can - you've been through a lot. Anxious to hear about the flap.

did one of you guys mod thatmaskedman? i was going to have some fun and rip him a new one. but somebody spoiled my fun cuz his original post disappeared.
I'm curious what he posted - TMM has been around the Wags threads for a while now. Somewhat of a S&G'r but friendly enough.

Quote from MelinMO :
There are a lot of misconceptions out there about giftedness and the biggest is that gifted programs are some kind of elite club for kids that are better than anyone else. The truth is our program (and most gifted programs) are intervention programs designed to help nurture our kids' gifts, but at the same time, help them develop strategies for coping with the affective needs that often accompany those gifts.
I wish you taught at our school. The gifted program is one that is passed around like coaching volleyball or the speech team. It's not led by people that have a clue at all and it's a real shame. My daughter gets very little out of it except being invited to College for Kids every summer at a local private college campus (but to be honest, most of those classes were a joke, too)

Quote from dreemedayze :
Better now. I felt like absolute crap this morning but I forced myself to eat a sandwich and drink some juice. It's not before I eat that sucks, it's after. I was good and ate a 6 inch (Subway) turked on whole weat with lettuce and tomatoe. No cheese. No dressing. Then I drank apple juice and ate a banana. I feel better now but OMG the exhaustion is insane. I don't know if it's the not feeling well or the stupid dramamine. I can't stop taking it because it helps the dizziness and nausea somewhat.

Ugh. I just wanna be normal again. Many many times I catch myself almost in tears because I just don't get it. How did I go from active and happy to unable to do anything anymore? Just walking to the kitchen and back takes a LOT out of me.

Waitng on the damn doctor to call me back so I can go get labs done.

sorry to ramble...
Jamie, I am so sorry for all this crap. I wish you had an answer ASAP. If you could deal with the dizziness, you could ask for Zofran instead for the nausea. It works without making you tired and not much else does. Comfort

Rant Alert! (and it's not even Target related)

While hubby was in surgery yesterday I ran to Walgreens (3 or 4 blocks) for some candy. On the Walgreens thread, I had previously read this:

[QUOTE]just bought 4 tide stain release in wash boosters they are 399 and used the 300 off coupon in sunday paper 99 cents each bought 4 and got back 200 rr
total =396 plus tax [QUOTE]

So, I quickly checked the shelf to see if they had 4 of anything. Figured I could get some then pay for my snacks with the RR.

Yeah, they had some. They were 10 packs of the tablet thingys and 20 oz. bottles. The coupon specifically says "Tide Stain Release 26-50 oz. Powder, 15-34 ct. Duo Pac, or 36-68 oz. Liquid"

Am I the only one that just gets seriously irritated to read a deal, go check it out, and then find out that it's the wrong size for the coupon? Geez, that ticks me off.

Ok rant over.

Hubby's surgery went well and he is feeling fine this morning. No pain, no headache. We have to take off for his follow up appointment in a few minutes. Thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers.

You and my mother. shake head She expects her carpets to be vacumed (not by her of course) with that damn thing and it weighs MORE THAN a Chevette. Then, since she thinks her dogs are more inmportant than people, you have to empty it every other minute b/c the water is so scurvy. Sick I was ready to fling it out the window the last time I used it and vowed never again. laugh out loud Of course, hers is at least 20 years old, the technology may have come a long way since then.

Quote from SLickCate :
What, you went to the Totally Target thread? LMAO I think it's overkill in there with the mediocre deals being pasted so much.
I agree. A lot of it has already been mentioned most of the time and they are just re-pasting the same thing minus a few details which is even more annoying.

Good thing I have this quirk about hanging clothing to dry. As coupon*clipper knows, it's a Gymboree/eBay carryover. lol

Thanks guys hug It's been a while since I've had one but I've had to have 2 surgically removed. One took an ovary with it which left me with only one tube/egg maker and that side had my ectopic in it. This is where I'm coming from when some jack hole asks me (b/c I already have 3 kids) if I've figured out what causes that (pointing to belly). Figured it out hell, I'm about give out from all of it.
