On the topic of transactions, etc. When I shop I use a cart and a basket and make up to 4 sections for up to four different transactions. One transaction is the basket which is inside the cart and helps to divide the cart into three other sections. lol. Sounds complicated but it really isn't. I have all my Qs separated into 4 sections too, to correspond with the four cart... yeah... you get where I'm going here. When I walk up to the cashier the //first// thing out of my mouth is "Hello *smile*, I have lots of coupons and 4 transactions. Would you like me to keep them in four transactions? Or would it just be ok to throw it all up on the belt together?" 60% of the time they shrug and go "I don't care, whatever you want". The other 40% of the time they FREAK OUT and I can see the gears turning in their heads on how to get rid of me. It's so sucky when that happens.
And it's not fool proof (literally) one time the woman wasn't listening (and I could tell she wasn't paying attention, so it's half my fault too... but whatever)... and said "yeah sure" so I mushed all my trans together and combined all my Qs together. Keep in mind I was holding my stack o'Qs in plain sight: She gets 2/3 of the way through my Qs and goes "I can't take all these." and instantly calls over the LOD. The LOD walks up and /AS/ she's walking up goes "You can only use one coupon per item"... she wasn't even /AT/ the register yet! I go "well, first of all. You're incorrect. (I was so sugary sweet it could have given them a cavity!) You can use one MQ and one TQ on one item and second of all I find it rather inconsiderate that you came walking up resiting the rules when you didn't even know what the issue over here is." *smiles* She snatches up my Qs and begins wildly flipping thought them, while shaking her head, and mumbling. She looks at me and tell me "yeah, uhhhh, you can't use all of these. They are one per transaction". I said "Well, ma'am, that's. why. I. asked. her. at. the. beginning. if. it. was. ok. and. she. said. yes." by this time my temperature is rising and I can only keep it in about a minute more. She flips off the register numbers light and tells the people behind me, really condescendingly "She's got coupons and needs to separate all of her stuff, it's going to be a while why dont you move over to that register". I was turning red (ironic) at this point. So flippin embarrassed and offended. I couldn't stand it anymore. I go "No, I'm not going to separate anything. You are. I had it all separated and this girl told me it was ok to combine it". She looked at me like I had two heads. I smiled.
My guy tugs on my arm and says "we've just spent an hour and a half shopping in here, forget it... lets just go". I obliged and we walked out. AS we were walking out he goes "boy, that was a waste of time". I said "you know, you're right". I told him to follow me and "watch this". I marched back in there and grabbed my cart (still at the register with my items still bagged). I wheel that baby over to Customer Service and the poor woman who greeted me got an amp'ted up ear full, I was shaking at this point... the whole fight-or-flight nerves were kicking in big time and what I really wanted to do was put my foot through that LODs face (rude witch)
I guess the reason I told this story is because you can do /everything/ right and STILL get screvved!

It seems every single experience I have at Target gives me an ulcer! lol. Do I go to the young ones because they usually care less, but stink with the registers or the older ones because they know how to work the registers, but tend to be more sticklers?? It's a toss up every single time I check out. I'm surprised I haven't started getting anxiety right at that point where I'm done shopping and walking to the cashiers. I've been told that I'm breaking the law by photo copying the Qs (which is when I told them to call the cops, then). I've been told that I can't use 2 of the same MQs (on 2 dif items) because it says to "not double". I've been told that I cut the Q too close to the wording (even though it was all there) and they couldn't take it. I've been told that socks are accessories. So I told him since his are just accessories to his uniform to go ahead and take his off.

I've only been doing the Target Qing for a month or so - because I had no idea there were printable TQs, and especially that you could combine MQ+TQ! Sorry you're having so many problems. I've been lucky with my cashiers so far; I tend to pick men or older women (cashier profiling?) because I've been to several different stores, rather than the same one all the time. My T cashier tonight was great, because she told me she coupons, too! None of mine beeped, and she had no problem when I asked her to take the MQs on top first (after she had started scanning the stack "upside down" - urk! I somehow lucked out on a possible coupon error, getting a Glade Lasting Impressions starter kit ($8) for free. Gotta read my receipt again.

I'm sorry to hear about your awful experience at Staples. There's nothing worse then teaching someone how to do their jobs when you're /not/ their boss! *sigh* I've had to explain the doubling thing to more cashiers then I have fingers on my two hands. I'm patient and I try and be as sugary sweet as possible. But when they're just like "no, nope, uh-uh, I can't do it... it says RIGHT HERE..." it makes me want to climb the walls! My usual response to it is "oooh, I'm so sorry but you have that incorrect" and then I go on to try my best to define it for them. Being told you're incorrect is somehow better than being told you're wrong. At least that's what I tell myself. lol.
I'm just holding out hope that it's just the 5 Targets in my area that are aweful and I have it in my head that it's like roses and cherries for the rest of the country.

What he couldn't keep up with was laundry. My gawd we go through lots of clothes and towels. I won't complain too much though. I am just glad to have some energy back!
Still don't know what's wrong with me but I am hoping and praying I am on the mend because that was horrid.
