Contemptress, don't always assume those young male cashiers don't know how to work the registers. There is one store near me that is pretty coupon friendly anyway but I had an issue with coupons not scanning and my cashier looked confused so I took those mq to customer service. The person there recognized me and said something like, see what happens when you don't go through my line, I know how to make the coupons work. Didn't realize I had a jedi there. woot

Yeah, it is unfair. Same thing with the drive up lane at fast food places. They get timed too and how is it any reflection on them if I take several minutes to decide what I want to order. I am an indecisive orderer and I always feel guilty just for wanting to look at the menu. (Plus, I don't do fast food much so I'm just not that familiar with the menus... and then there is the part where I have to calculate the best deal!)

Your post had me laughing out loud laugh out loud I once caught my first DD snacking on a cracker while I was trying to check out. I pointed it out to dh who was supposed to be watching her and he said "I thought crackers were ok?" to which I replied "We didn't bring any crackers" Sick

I wish I was still a 16 - everything fit so much better. Ah well, living w/a 14 I guess. Little snug though. I love those erasers so thanks for that idea. I forgot they were made by the bald man.

Our son is *never* going to potty train and he'll tell you so himself. He found the HW bag (from the KM deal years ago) and so that little bribe is gone and I'm working my way back up. Too bad he doesn't love play-doh cuz I still have that stuff coming out of my ears Evillaugh

I am totally immature in the humor department, too. It must be an old habit b/c I can't help but snort when someone makes a reference that could be misconstrued. LMAO

Well... I'm feeling pretty good. I can tell my hormones are wonky though - my hair is suddenly brittle but oily. UGH! I think I've gotten some of the crazy emotional roller coaster stuff too - been having moments of feeling really happy, and some moments of just wanting to cry over the dumbest things. I hope it evens out soon!

I did go back to taking my pre-natals. I figured that now that I"m not pregnant, maybe I could actually keep them down - and so far, so good. Yay.

My stupid teeth are driving me nuts. One day they are fine, another day they are so sensitive. I know I have several cavities and 2 teeth that are broken in the back. I hate dental problems. Even with insurance, there's no way I could afford to get it all fixed. Frown It's frustrating. *sigh*

This week has flown by!!! I am so hoping for some good TQ's this weekend. Otherwise, I am pretty much unmotivated to shop anywhere. Blah.

So, I got pissed with T taking away my paper-savers and decided to give my money to someone else this week. And boy did I give my money away this week! I bought a brand new matress...which WTF! they are expensive. But I left the cookie cutter furniture stores and went to this local no name place and the guy knocked over $300 off the price tag for us. So happy with it, and since we were just down the street we save the $75 delivery fee and just straped it to the roof of the minivan and brought it home that night Big Grin

Then we went to hhgregg - for the first time and decided why not buy a whole new set of stainless steel appliances while we were there! OMG It was a very good deal I thought anyway. All 3 pieces for less than $1300. My current stove has no handle to open the stove so we wedge our finger into the hot hot hot sides and pry it open - plus it is older than the stove I remember my grandmother having when I was growing up. So we got delivery and it turns out they had a visa card rebate for the full delivery charge. The kid helping us out was nice and all but even at 33 y/o I was old enought to be his mother. Mad

So when the appliances arrive bright and early the next morning I realize that the fridge door opens on the oppoiste side as I need it to and ask the delivery guys if it will switch like my white fridge did and they say 'NO, cause it is stainless steel', so I see that my sales kid orders a LS fridge instead of asking us which we needed and I call the store and inform them of my situation and the girl is like I will send someone out tomorrow to 'switch' it for you, and I say well, the guys are still here...and I'm all it can't just be switched, do you want me to send this one back with the guys that are still at my house? and you can send the right one? She says No someone well be out tomoorrow.

So tomorrow comes and noone has called to tell me of the arrival window so I call the store and the girls is like "well, we couldn't schedule your appointment until we had delivery confirmation and so....." Well whatever girl just send me my stuff right plz! So we make the RE-appointment for the next day - which is TODAY.

Sooooooo, the delivery guy calls me this morning and tells me "sorry but we wont be coming out there because the fridge you have doesn't switch" "R U KIDDING ME!?!"
I'm like you or someone better come out here and get this fridge and bring me the correct one or or or...and he is like "ma'am Im going need you to talk to the CS dept" Ok, transfer me over........

Well, the guy is calling me at 7AM and CS and the store don't even open until 10. I decide to hang up on the million rings and call back right b4 open and talk to someone......I get a call at 9:30a saying 'Hello This is Frank the GM at the store you bought your fridge from.'

I explain it all to him and he is all..."I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry please come into the store a pick out any frige from our showroom that will fit you needs and have...Any fridge you pick at the same price as the other." So my opening is only 30'' which is the standard regular type fridge but apperently when my kicthen was designed they put the fridge on the wrong side so the door need to open from the opposite side but now-a-days the stainless fridges dont do that so my only opption is a larger type fridge....Well I'm like ok...we are going to get new cabinets but I dont have room for a sidebyside but can lose 3 inches at most. He says he will go search his selection and see what fits...

He calls back with only one option for my dimentions and needs...a $1400 LG bottom freezer......Uhm, Okay...I'll take it. Thank you.

It is so nice to see CS that is really there for the customer! It is such a rare thing with the big companies and their Me Me Me mentality. hhgregg will get my money again when I'm ready for my 50" Plasma Wink

I have found that with my jedis I have them scan ONE thing then hit suspend and that way it is only 2 seconds for the reboot instead of f.o.r.e.v.e.r !

They have told me that they are timed, doesn't matter how much someone buys or how many coupons they get timed. One told me that he uses the hand scanner to scan coupons really fast so his time doesn't go too long. Once I had an LOD make me check out each item separately. Cashier said he loved it because each transaction was like 20 seconds. This seems to really only matter for new cashiers though, the ones that have been there couldn't care less.
