I ran in last night and totally forgot to check out the C9 stuff. Gonna miss that Q. Hopefully they get more of the cold weather gear in this week. Won't be the same as the deals on clearance, but still.

So, I went home to let the dog out, grab a quick shower and get my laptop. DS is still sleeping. Sitting in a hospital room all day is agonizingly boring when you are just waiting. He didn't get put on the surgery schedule, which means they are so busy that it was already full and he is a work-in. It's a level 4 trauma center so helicopters and ambulances are in a constant stream of bringing patients in, and then they are triaged by urgency. Where DS fits in there I don't know, but he could be waiting all day for a spot in the OR.
About the subsidies - every farmer I know hates them but it's almost like "tips" to a waiter. They aren't really tips, they are part of their income and without them, they wouldn't even make minimum wage (although restaurants are required to meet the difference in pay if they don't). Were it not for the control of the grain market by the self-serving special interests and it were a real fair trade market, the subsidy program would cease to exist. It's the loopholes in the system that allows big agribusiness to collect on the subsidies and the media to peg subsidies as evil. It's actually the government's fault for controlling the market (to control food prices among other things) and then realizing that they were putting family farms out of business so they offer subsidies and conservation programs as a sort of "farmer welfare". It's sick really.
Since the consumer is learning how bad for you HFCS is and demanding a change, mfr's are using less and less HFCS and more and more sugar.
Problem being, there's just not enough sugar. So the mfr's recently asked the USDA to lift the sugar import quotas. The current administration said NO.
So now the cereal mfr's and other companies using a lot of sugar are moving more factories to Mexico, where there is no sugar quota.
I'm wondering how long it will be before the situation reverses and Americans have to sneak into Mexico for work instead of Mexicans coming here.

I took it for like 8 months and lost like 25 pounds but I ate junk and wasnt able to work out because of issues with my knee. Just be careful once you go off of it because I gained all of the weight back and now I hate the way I look. I really wish that I would have tried to eat better while taking it so that when I got off of it I would already be use to eating right. My dr doesnt want to give it to me again..maybe if i beg him it will work..lol Now that my knee is better I know that I would lose so much weight being about to workout. Good luck with the weight loss and keep us posted on how much you lose
