It does expire the 11th. Sorry for the confusion. I have the TV on, and there was a "today on the news at noon". I must have typed "today" instead of what I meant, which was Saturday.

Jamie, I am too chicken to try towels..I was shivering for wicker baskets too...But you posting abt those towels makes me wanna get some...laugh out loud
Me too, but I don't think I am that brave. Maybe I'll have to try it without my TM discount.

BTW- Yesterday in Athens all backpacks were 75%. I don't know if I mentioned that (I told you, some days I am 10-sec. Tom). It may be another reason to head to T today Wink

Yesterday, all of my Jedi's in Athens were not at the registers, so I had to go to someone I have been avoiding (yes, I know, I'm profiling). When all the C9 started beeping, she K3'd one, scrolled back up, saw all the C9 stuff (though none of it was >$5), and then just started K1'ing them. I thought for sure she would adjust them or refuse them, but nope, she K'1d like a champ woot

ROFL...nice recap! Did anyone in particular give the smackdown?
Well I know Bailey asked for kbc1 to add the links then pretty much all sorts of people were bickering back and forth, I'm sorry but I can't remember who else was there?
I think countryfan and kallison were there too,but I could be mistaken, it was late.

Hi TCC'ers. I have been out of the Target loop and need to get back in (we broke up so I could spend more time with Kroger and Meijer). I have been reading back a few pages and I don't know if I should try the deals thread now again laugh out loud

This is always happening to me when Walmart is lucky enough to get my money. I am to the point now where I dont make eye contact and if there is a line forming for the greeter/receipt acoster I just venture over to the other side of the exit and go about my way.
Do we have rights to not let them dig thru our bag once we have paid...especially if the alarm sensors havent even gone off? I just wonder because once I pay for it, those thing are technically mine right, so it is an invasion of privacy, no?
I jjust hate Walmart so so much...

I love to give the teacher crap load of stuffs I aquire. I had so much this year that at open house, where you find out who youe kids teacher is for the first time, I had to wheel my wagon overflowing with crayons from Kroger and Fruit Snacks & PopTarts from Target and so so much more all the teachers in the hallways were begging and praying for us to be in thier classes. Plus the teachers are so very grateful, and I think it opens the door for good conmunication thru the year.
RE: Walmart, I remember being there one time a year or so ago and noticing a guy who was very perturbed walking along the ends of the registers, looking for a manager or someone in authority. He happened to cross my path as I was headed to the door and told me to make sure I did not allow the greeter to look in my bags as it was illegal and they had no right to do it. Apparently his bags had been checked and he was raising all kinds of a ruckus with whomever he could talk to, to ensure it never happened again. I never looked into it as far as legality and such, but it makes sense.

For teachers, I have no expectation for them to outfit my child for learning. I consider that a reasonable responsibility as a parent to supply my child with everything he needs to fully facilitate his education. However, to *require* parents to outfit the classroom in general is overreaching, in my opinion. At my son's school (private), his list of supplies for kindergarten was a large jug of hand sanitizer, 2 large bags of Skittles or M&Ms, and one other thing that escapes me at the moment. They supply all the crayons, pens, pencils, etc., so that the children all have the same and no one argues. Seems reasonable enough to me.

Having said that, I am all about donating whatever I can find to whomever needs it. For public school teachers, they themselves are not responsible for mismanagement of funds that goes on in the state's capital, they just have to pick up the slack. Quite a few ps teachers go to my church, and I am happy to pass on whatever I find if it can be of help to them. The same to the teachers at my son's school. I got tons of the nice Mead binders from Rite Aid for free, and they were so excited to get them.

I'm going to have to check another T for C9 clearance. The one I was at yesterday had nada. Oh, and does anyone know how much the fleece jackets are? I would heart one, but can't spend too much on it.

And mama, I got a wicker basket that was 9.99 and had no issues. It looks lovely in my bathroom. Big Grin Not to sound too dumb, but is there anything in the bath section that this Q works on beeplessly?

It is a such a very very good thing that I don't have kids in school. I agree, the parents are responsible for providing supplies for their owns kiddies -- but not the classroom. And I think it's fine to say they need to have 6 pencils, some paper, a box of at least 24 crayons, etc.

I would have a very serious problem with brand requirements. What if I work for Rose Art and want to support my company, not Crayola? Or maybe I just don't like Crayola for some reason and choose not to support them with MY money. (I have nothing against Crayola, it's just an example)

And as far as this newish trend of you send supplies and they will all share them. No. Way. In. Hell. Schools are germ incubators anyway -- now you want my kid to use the same pencil as that kid over there with the snot running down his face? I don't think so. I'm a pencil biter -- first place my pencil or pen goes is in my mouth. Do you want share my pencil?

What I really don't understand is why parents tolerate it.

Now, get back under the bed. Soap Box

The Home one does work beeplessly on the wire shelves in the bath section. The ones that the DPCI starts wtih 097 08 xxxx, if it's a 097 01 xxxx they beep. That's all that I have found.

I am resisting the urge to go to T today, I really don't need to waste the gas, since I will be there tomorrow anyways. Since my DH went from the "contractor" status with a temp company to working for the actual company (same job, just hired permanent), we have a week and a half without a paycheck. Temp company was paid every week, permanent company is 2x month. Good thing is, his check, when we do get it, will be very nice. Bad thing, last check from the temp company was lower than normal because he missed a day for his kidney stone.

Good thing shopping at T doesn't really cost me much Wink It's also been a great way to clean out the freezer. All that stuff at the bottom that I forget we have is what we are having (much to the disdain of my DH) for dinners. By the time his 2nd paycheck comes around, I should have a nice empty freezer to fill again laugh out loud 1st check is going to pay all of the monthly bills, since somehow they all ended up being due around the same time.

Nice mail day, there was 1 envelope in the mailbox, and it had a $5/5 Kraft coupon from Bricks. That's the great thing about running Linux, since it's not supported by Bricks, if the Q is available for mailing, it automatically gives me that option. Then I can go in and print the MQs in my VMs with XP. Big Grin

Yup, I guess I started it. Big meanie that I am. Rundown, kbc posted a deal, another poster asked where Qs were from and kbc told her to GO to Totally Target to get the Qs. So I suggested that if you're posting a deal, you should include where the Qs are from and kbc said she didn't know how to do that. So then a few people (like immy) added in saying it was easier when the Q locations were spelled out and then BOOM. It blew. Mainly cuz of a person's post quoting my post, immy, countryfan, and a few others that said that the experts were not helpful and teaching others how to do things. Didn't sit well with me. I suggested to add where a coupon came from and that's me being a big meaning and not teaching someone how to do something? So I posted to stop making it an us-versus-them and that the folks quoted were some of the experts who have ALWAYS helped me out. I shouldn't have posted the last one. But I'm tired and haven't had hot water for 3 days. I'm cranky! Smilie

I just don't get why we're sending folks to another site to find things. We don't do that on the CVS or WAGs threads or anywhere else that I can think of? We may thank another site but not say to go there to find something, right?

Totally agree with you. If I had a list that spelled out brand names and whatnot, I would be speaking to the teacher about that. And sharing??? Schools seriously do that???

Thanks for the info. I do need to get a set of shelves to mount above the toilet, so I'll check those out, at least.

I had a good mail day, too. Got a P&G $10 rebate check. :woohoo: And yesterday, a Schick rebate check came in.

Teehee Very nice. I have this mental image of all the TCC'ers bathrooms looking exactly.the.same. Big Grin I may give the towels a try. Lord knows my linen closet is looking fairly threadbare and ragged...

Thanks for the recap. I did some searching, and even though I haven't been in the Deals much lately, I remembered reading something on Sunday that made me think that kbc1 was from TT.
