BTW- Yesterday in Athens all backpacks were 75%. I don't know if I mentioned that (I told you, some days I am 10-sec. Tom). It may be another reason to head to T today
Yesterday, all of my Jedi's in Athens were not at the registers, so I had to go to someone I have been avoiding (yes, I know, I'm profiling). When all the C9 started beeping, she K3'd one, scrolled back up, saw all the C9 stuff (though none of it was >$5), and then just started K1'ing them. I thought for sure she would adjust them or refuse them, but nope, she K'1d like a champ
ROFL...nice recap! Did anyone in particular give the smackdown?
I think countryfan and kallison were there too,but I could be mistaken, it was late.
Hi TCC'ers. I have been out of the Target loop and need to get back in (we broke up so I could spend more time with Kroger and Meijer). I have been reading back a few pages and I don't know if I should try the deals thread now again
Do we have rights to not let them dig thru our bag once we have paid...especially if the alarm sensors havent even gone off? I just wonder because once I pay for it, those thing are technically mine right, so it is an invasion of privacy, no?
I jjust hate Walmart so so much...
I love to give the teacher crap load of stuffs I aquire. I had so much this year that at open house, where you find out who youe kids teacher is for the first time, I had to wheel my wagon overflowing with crayons from Kroger and Fruit Snacks & PopTarts from Target and so so much more all the teachers in the hallways were begging and praying for us to be in thier classes. Plus the teachers are so very grateful, and I think it opens the door for good conmunication thru the year.
For teachers, I have no expectation for them to outfit my child for learning. I consider that a reasonable responsibility as a parent to supply my child with everything he needs to fully facilitate his education. However, to *require* parents to outfit the classroom in general is overreaching, in my opinion. At my son's school (private), his list of supplies for kindergarten was a large jug of hand sanitizer, 2 large bags of Skittles or M&Ms, and one other thing that escapes me at the moment. They supply all the crayons, pens, pencils, etc., so that the children all have the same and no one argues. Seems reasonable enough to me.
Having said that, I am all about donating whatever I can find to whomever needs it. For public school teachers, they themselves are not responsible for mismanagement of funds that goes on in the state's capital, they just have to pick up the slack. Quite a few ps teachers go to my church, and I am happy to pass on whatever I find if it can be of help to them. The same to the teachers at my son's school. I got tons of the nice Mead binders from Rite Aid for free, and they were so excited to get them.
I'm going to have to check another T for C9 clearance. The one I was at yesterday had nada. Oh, and does anyone know how much the fleece jackets are? I would
And mama, I got a wicker basket that was 9.99 and had no issues. It looks lovely in my bathroom.

I would have a very serious problem with brand requirements. What if I work for Rose Art and want to support my company, not Crayola? Or maybe I just don't like Crayola for some reason and choose not to support them with MY money. (I have nothing against Crayola, it's just an example)
And as far as this newish trend of you send supplies and they will all share them. No. Way. In. Hell. Schools are germ incubators anyway -- now you want my kid to use the same pencil as that kid over there with the snot running down his face? I don't think so. I'm a pencil biter -- first place my pencil or pen goes is in my mouth. Do you want share my pencil?
What I really don't understand is why parents tolerate it.
Now, get back under the bed.
I am resisting the urge to go to T today, I really don't need to waste the gas, since I will be there tomorrow anyways. Since my DH went from the "contractor" status with a temp company to working for the actual company (same job, just hired permanent), we have a week and a half without a paycheck. Temp company was paid every week, permanent company is 2x month. Good thing is, his check, when we do get it, will be very nice. Bad thing, last check from the temp company was lower than normal because he missed a day for his kidney stone.
Good thing shopping at T doesn't really cost me much
Nice mail day, there was 1 envelope in the mailbox, and it had a $5/5 Kraft coupon from Bricks. That's the great thing about running Linux, since it's not supported by Bricks, if the Q is available for mailing, it automatically gives me that option. Then I can go in and print the MQs in my VMs with XP.

I just don't get why we're sending folks to another site to find things. We don't do that on the CVS or WAGs threads or anywhere else that I can think of? We may thank another site but not say to go there to find something, right?

I had a good mail day, too. Got a P&G $10 rebate check. :woohoo: And yesterday, a Schick rebate check came in.
