There are 2 contests. The first one is for the class that submits the most BTFE by Oct. 27th. They get the Spirit Stick presentation at their Oct. 29th huddle. Wanted some advice about a bus issue..
Background: last year we had some issues when DS rode the bus home but it was the last week of school and I let it go.
Today tanner ran in and told me Makena was crying. I went outside (the bus was here, early at that, normally I wait outside for it) So I get to her and she's a mess. She's been crying for awhile I can tell and she's just absolutely sobbing. She won't talk to me, she won't move from the sidewalk. The bus is still stopped with the door open and I can hear the kids talking. They were all wondering why she was crying, but all talking at the same time. You know how chaotic that can be.
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, this big guy bus driver stands up in the front of the bus and SCREAMS at these kids "Shut up. All of you need to Shut up. You've been nothing but HORRIBLE today and if you don't stop I'm going to take you all back to the school."
Now, I'm the only parent out there at this point and I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my daughter. I stood up to approach the bus to say something and he slammed the doors shut and took off before I could.
We got home later and Makena said some kids were mean to her. (the same issue we had last year)
She loves school. She absolutely LOVES riding the bus home. Tanner doesn't know what happened but said she started crying on the bus.
Should I say something to the school about the bus driver and what he did or is my concern unjustified?

If that doesn't work or he's un helpful I would follow thru with the head of the transportation dept.Then the superintendant of schools.
The bus driver does need to have control over those kids, he can report usually to the school and get them detention, or have their parents called.
I'm so sorry your daughter is having problems.
