For the full-time working folk with desks, you can always try Campbells Soup At Hand, and maybe some fat-free crackers or some fruit. Several of the Soup-At-Hand are either fat-free or very low fat. They don't need a refrigerator, and only take 1 min to heat up, which for me, is important for work. We only have 2 microwaves at work, and when everyone takes lunch around the same time, if you have a lean cuisine or something that takes 5-6 mins, that's a long time when you have a short lunch break. I'm not a soup person, but I did these for awhile before. It wasn't bad, and helped lose weight.

OMG! I just went on fleabay to price the Kohls coupons...are they always that expensive?? OMG
I think I need someone to fill me in on Kohls shopping... Please
Anyone know if these coupons will work in states that are not listed on the coupon??
Coupon states that they are valid only in AZ,CA,ID,NM,NV,TX,UT so will they not go through when scanned in another state? Or will it be denied only if the cashier knows how to read??

That explains why I never see these q's , not in any of those states Frown

Chili

My "secret" Ingredient is using Spicy V8 instead of Tomato Juice

Can of Dark Red Kidney Beans
Can of Chili Style Beans
1 Pound of Ground (Beef & Turkey Mixed 50/50)
Can of Diced Tomatoes
1 Small Diced & Sauteed Onions
1 Diced & Sauteed Bell Pepper (Sometimes use 1/2 red 1/2 green)
1 Can of Re-fried Beans (to thicken it up)
Enough V8 Juice to get to desired consistency
1 Tablespoon Beef Bouillon Crystals or Beef Soup Base
Chili Powder to Taste (For me I just shake liberally over chili until completely covered in powder then stir in - We like it HOT)

If I'm making a large enough pot I will up the meat and also add a can of black beans.

Turkey Chili
Pretty much same ingredients as above
Substituting Shredded Turkey or Chicken for the meat and I don't add the beef bullion
Then add:
1/2 cup of Sour Cream
1/2 cup of Cream Cheese
1 can of corn
sounds delish Licklips but Nono1 on the sour cream and cream cheese for dieters Frown

I go do a Target run and three pages of posts!

Ank--good news on the baby.

Target - Westheimer/Fondren

Marking down BTS to 75%. Not all items included. Got:

Spiral Notebooks -- 3 [had cases left]
Notebook paper -- 18 [had cases left]
10 count pocket folders w/prongs -- 37

Starting to go fast!

In case you didn't get enough free pens, they had the PaperMate for 25.

If I was part of the diet group, I probably could get exercise credit for my Target run. The BTS was consolidated at the very back of the store. I had 3 cases of notebook paper, 2 cases of notebooks + other stuff in my cart. Went from back to front a couple of times mainly because I found some items in the regular school supply area and the only person that was marking down @ lunch time was the gal in the BTS area. Can you guys tell me what the bugger looks like and how do I get to it? I have a top loader.
Mine is too, if you look at the lid when it's open, there should be something sticking down, that will line up with a little hole or something on the washer. It should be under there somewhere. Sorry, it's been a long time since I've done it, it's probably not much help.

But, look to see if there is a plastic piece broken off on the bottom of the lid, that's usually the main culprit. If there is, try to find something to stick in the hole on the washer, and see if it spins. (Ok, that sounded really dirty!) Something to trick the switch into thinking that the lid is closed.

Just coming in to post that we got a call back from the doctor already.

He said her spinal test looked great and there's no further testing or anything needed for that - thank goodness! Her kidney ultrasound still shows dilation, so they are sending her to a pediatric urologist (Oct. 5th - ugh... hate that wait), and they are scheduling her for a test. I think it's called a VCUG. Basically, they will put a catheter in her and fill her bladder with a liquid that has a dye in it. Then they take x-rays while she pees and check to see if the dye all comes out like it should or flows back up toward the kidneys.

From what I'm reading on the net, it then depends on what is causing the flow. It seems that most of the time they expect the kids to grow out of it in time, and occasionally there's an abnormality that needs correction via surgery. Of course, I'm hoping for the "grow out of it" part.

So far, it's been a fairly uneventful day. The car has a flat tire, so I don't know if I'll get out to shop at all. Frown DH had to run and do some errands for church this morning and discovered it on his way out. Hopefully he'll be back home before he has to go to work so he can check out the car and change the tire if we have a spare. I think we do...

Not much else going on, I guess!
A can of fix a flat really works , instead of a plugWink I always have one in my car.
WinkI was a girl scout.

Ank , i hope that little darlin is okay.

Ok, here is a .pdf [mediafire.com] of how to get to the lid switch in a Maytag, but I believe most top load washers are about the same.

So, do you order the really cheap 14 for $19 from ebay? I'm getting ready to order, it would be nice to know someone else uses it.
Does it comes as a text message or how do these work. I rarely use a cell phone, so I went to Trafone. I can receive a text and I supposed it could be worth 30 seconds of talk time, as long as I only have to do it once.
I already did the mile walk with the dogs. Second or third load of laundry is in. Need to put that away. I usually do a couple loads per day but I haven't done any for a few days.

I've cleaned the sink/vanity. Need to do the tub and toilet. Gotta vacuum living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Hmmm, I need to go outside and plant a few plants that I have had sitting there forever.
Let's see I paid $14.99 plus 2.99 for shipping on each set... the seller wouldn't budge on making me pay for shipping... so really 17.98 for 10 kohls coupons... I am going to stack those with the $5 kohls coupon and the percent off coupon me thinks.. for lots of inexpensive clothes... yay!! great job taking a mile walk with the dogs... btw, what kind of dogs? HUGS!!

I don't have a touch screen..but I do have a button I push..which I reckon might be more upscale then a knob shake head
I am so silly. Our machine is a GE and it's junk. Just 4 years old and it's kicking the bucket already?!
I reckon $250.00 is still cheaper then buying a new one, especially since we can't afford a new one..well not until I sell them BTFE LMAO
I guess $250 is cheaper than buying a new one... but geez.. ours is only 2 years old so it makes me wanna cry LOL

I usually do, it depends. I test them out, I make a small comment, but if they give me that blank stare and say "huh?", I just leave them be.

Me too... I am not one that will just walk up to a cashier and hold a five hour conversation by my self... but I will chit chat as long as they are receptive to talking... LOL

I am new at this Kohls couponing deal... I am thinking that I am going to go to several Kohls next week... to make sure I use them all up... I spent WAYYYYYYYYYYY too much or so I feel but if all goes well it will make for lots of cheap clothes... just a thought... I am not sure about them not scanning in a different state... I absolutely LOVE the jcpenney 10 off coupons but they are wayyyyyyyyyyyy expensive!! HUGS!!

Dontknow And personally I don't like the fat free varieties (do like the 1/3 fat varieties or whatever they're called) so I just eat them in moderation. I love counting WW points, there is no elimination of anything....just a lot of counting, calculating, and choices Big Grin About the only place I like cream cheese is on a bagel or in a cheesecake yummy

The point is, it is YOUR child and up to you to make the decision. The school system cannot make you vaccinate your child.
I know and I'm lucky because tx has 3 exemptions. (medical, religeous, and philisophical) The problem is, we haven't lived here long and I was lazy and never filled out the exemption paperwork. So at the health dept. today I asked for it and she said they no longer handle it. I have to go to the cdc website and do it BUT it could take up to 3 weeks to get the paperwork. I didn't have 3 weeks to wait. Makena is the only child of my last 3 that are up to date on shots. River had her Hep B in the hospital and needs her second Hep B but that's the only one she's getting.

I'm pretty sure it's targets responsibility to pay for anything over a 2.00 value.
