Teehee

I've hardly eaten in the last 2 days because it seems I am continuously covered in or cleaning up puke. If I'm not down this week when I weigh in then I'm eating a pie. A whole pie. All by myself.

I am pages and pages behind - no clue as to what is going one ... Flugette they do teach ballet at YMCA's and no you do not have to be a member ... the classes are cheaper if you are a member. They do not have as intense classes - but the girlies can twirl around and prance around on their toes and have fun.

HTH - Hugs - Dia
Thank you! Will definitely be checking that out!

Hey all -

I'll never catch up...no matter if/how I try (hard).

My oldest (turned 18 in March) with special needs got into some serious, serious trouble (legal) and our lives have been turned upside down/sideways. I am stopping by to say hello and to share that I'm not around due to RL - have not bailed.

Timing stinks as I was just 'getting it' here....*sigh*

I ask for prayers and good thoughts and hope to be back to learn/help/contribute soon.

While all that is happening in our life is overwhelming and heart-breaking, I am grateful I have a sense of humor. My b-Day was Sunday and yesterday, 2 officers appeared at my door first thing - taking my son for 2 warrants. I muttered under my breath, 'Happy belated birthday mom', and one of them heard me. He felt so bad that he was visibly embarrassed and upset. I told him it was OK - that when you have special kids, you expect special surprises. He did not know what to think/say/do... Embarrassment
So sorry for what you're going through. I can't imagine how hard that would be. hug

Some YMCA's have ballet classes. You could also call dance schools and ask about inexpensive classes. They will probably know of some little dance school that they can refer you to. (My kids were in competition dance a few years ago, and if a studio understands you just want the cheap, not necessarily learning the basics, they can probably refer you to someone. Some studios even have "scholarship" programs, or can work out lessons w/ reduced rate in exchange for help with...)
Thanks!! Am planning on checking on that. There is a YMCA conveniently located right across the street from my favorite Target! Big Grin

My daughter took gymnastics lessons -- beginner and not intense, like you are talking about -- from a local college. They had a nice athletic center. Might try contacting some of those in your area. Also, see if your local radio station has a call in buy, sell, and trade show. Call in and ask.

I think I might need a preschool version too. I wasn't paying any attention because I thought the coupon stacking was only applicable to NY and NJ.

I have the low carb rolls in the oven ( 1/2 carb or less each). Eggs are boiled and sitting out there finishing up. Brunch today is 2 sausage patties (0 carbs) and a piece of cheese (1 carb).

Boy, talk about taunting yourself. Most recipes I have in my book, a few are on my computer -- the diet rolls are one of them. So, I open that file to get the recipe. Ya know what the other 2 recipes are? Peanut Butter Cake (OMG it's drool) and a Key Lime Cake recipe that I want to try.
Thanks! THat's a great idea also!

As for Kohl's, my limited knowledge is the $5 coupons that are super cheap can be used on any purchase over $5. There's always stuff clearanced out to make this a super deal. If you can combine it with percentage off coupons (I get some in my email every now and then) or other $/$$ coupons, then its really awesome. But even just using the $5 coupons gets you good deals. The only drawback is you can only use one per transaction. So I just make use of all the register areas in the store. laugh out loud

And the Peanut Butter Cake sounds yummo.

I have been good so far today! Well, as far as portion control, not necessarily in WHAT I am eating. Wink Bagel with teeny bit of cream cheese for breakfast, one slice of cheese pizza, and a yogurt with tsp of granola mixed in for lunch. I'm still hungry, though, so debating what else to eat that will fill me up. Maybe a handful of almonds or something.

Anyway, beautiful weather here today! Spent the morning going to two Rite Aids, and one Harris Teeter, then we hit Toys R Us after we picked up Jaden from school. The barely-past-puberty cashier was telling me I could not use 2 Tag coupons in one transaction because it was one per purchase. Faint Seriously? I thought such idiocy was limited to Safeway. Guess not. Anyway, he called for a manager, who stood over in a corner laughing it up with another employee. When it became evident she had no intention of coming over, he told me he would go ahead and scan both coupons, just to show me the error message that popped up. Here, I'm thinking, "Are you kidding me? TRUS has a system that smart??" So he scans both coupons, and then my $5 fridge toy coupon, and guess what? No beeps, no error message. He starts furiously punching in various keys on his computer, trying to figure out what happened, and then finally says, "Well, I guess this time it took out, but it will only work this one time. In the future you'll have to split up your transactions if you want to use both." Rofl2 Um, sure ...

ETA: ?? for those of you that use the $5 Kohls q's from e-junkie, etc. Got some today and noticed the 'one per household' wording at the bottom...do any of you have trouble with that and how do you go about not having trouble with it? LMAO Or is it kind of like with Target where they don't really care?
My one Kohls is a super sticklier about it. Some cashiers won't even let me use one then my 12 y/o - ''it is household'' and even though I am happily married and sharing a bed w/ DH, I always state "Well, he lives with his dad.Teehee"

Plus, We go to each set of registers once. We come in the left side, find stuff for each check out, stash a supply for the last round, check out in CS in the back, come around to the left side to pay again, then go out to the car and drop off bags then go back in thru the right side doors, find my hidden merch then check out over there on the right and double check CS to see if they switched girls for another tranny there.

So in a good trip with the oldest I can get 8 trannys done...and if I feel like pushing it, we will go to Kohls first - do the rounds then go arcoss the street to Target then go back to Kohls for another round of 6/8 trannies. Sometimes it is really hard to blend in with 5 kids but it is possible to not be remembered. Wink

carrot sticks, cucumber sticks or slices, raisins, tennis ball sized serving of fruit (dh got a 29 on the portion control quiz not inc bonus round) or 2 b/c you are supposed to get at least 2 servings per day, dried fruit, popcorn? 1 serving of popcorn is very nice size and lots of fiber.

i would also suggest cheese stick but i think you already got all your dairy for today.

yesterday i did 2 qtr cups of dried fruit and nut mix from costco. first qtr cup was not enough.

Great suggestions! I ended up eating a palmful of cinnamon sugar almonds, that I got cheap at RA in the last couple weeks. Big Grin Still a little hungry, but losing weight isn't always easy, is it? Plus dinner tonight is some type of pasta with shrimp, so I have to be a good girl for the rest of the afternoon. This means drinking lots of water so I feel full. laugh out loud

Went to the recycling center to get more inserts, and checked out the magazine bin, hoping to score ones that have coupons in them. Lo and behold, I found current editions of both People and Sports Illustrated. One for hubby, one for me. Big Grin

I've been dying my hair a color called "Soft black" (at least thats what I think its called) my natural hair color is med/dark brown. I want my natural color back or something close to it. I havent dyed my hair in about 6 weeks and you can really tell. The gray is taking over my head, i started to get gray hair at like 23 so I always have to dye it. I dont want to pay someone else to color my hair but I dont want to mess it up by doing it myself. Last time i tried to change it back to brown it just dyed my roots back to brown and the rest of my hair was black! So how do i get this black out of my hair and get back to brown?
Quote from gt6mk31 :
I've never colored my hair so I have absolutely NO experience. I'm just sure I read on here somewhere that there is a dye remover for hair. You use it and it removes any dye in your hair and then you can do as you please. Where ever I read that, someone commented that they had used it and it really worked great.

I would guess I read it in the Walgreen forum. It's the only drugstore I ever (rarely) have access to.
I read that same post also no idea where ,also no experience with this, I think it;s called oops, or goof something short like that, I really think it's one of the two

Dazzled, I have to tell ya, you inspire me. Whenever I start to waffle on whether or not to go out with my kids, I think of you and your five and what you manage to accomplish with them. Gives me motivation. Big Grin And thanks for sharing your strategy - I did something similar, but not so well-thought-out. Will definitely try it out your way next time!!

The first 2 times I bought 2 items and used 2 coupons. Cashier did not care.

Got brave next time, different cashier, and got 4 Keurig Coffee. Cashier read coupon and said "one per household". I ask if she could ring up in 4 transactions and she said yes.

The coupons will go through as scanned for at least 2 times. Don't know for sure about more but probably would scan as many as you have items for.

EEK! Your TRU cash register has face recognition capabilities. Better stock up on Halloween masks.

But since they are sending them out pdf whats to stop them from sending the same one to everybody. But mostly, where they hell do they get them and if they have them, why can't we get them? Wanna splain it to me?
