Thanks for the happy birthday wishes for my DD. And yeah - there's no such thing as terrible 2's... it's "egads-this-child-sprouted-some-major-horns-which-occasionally-hold-up-a-halo".

I'm am soooo tired today!! I still haven't gotten back to normal, but baby is starting to sleep in 3-4 hour chunks at night. Whee She had a check up today - 11 lbs 7 oz and 22 1/2 inches. She's in the 95-97th percentile (if that means anything...)

mlj - I've heard Tennessee is a great place to live... Big Grin

gt6 - I heart zucchini!!! It's so yummy if you grill or sauteee it - especially with some onions and mushrooms!!
Have you considered getting your DD the "double trouble" costume, that is half devil and half angel for Halloween. They have it at T.

I will try this again (post earlier was removed). There was a segment on GMA yesterday about holiday jobs, and they had a list of work-from-home places that are mega-hiring right now to take catalog orders during the holidays. Here is the page with the links. [go.com]

Mr. Clean is still working fine. It was my fault, I did something wrong yesterday. Then today, I forgot 1 of the Qs. I can't think when I am sick (or most other times, but that's a different story Wink )

Also, the Glade TQ does like to play with the MQs. No problems using both the MQs and TQs. Big Grin

No crap??? Well, darn. I just checked the SF thread and my post asking for peeps to vote for TM4D was edited, too. I didn't know you couldn't ask people to vote for stuff. Is it only if you PERSONALLY stand to benefit or does it apply to charities and classrooms, etc. also I wonder?

Quote from thismom4deals :
Yes, it was removed....and I am gonna be red forever. Anybody who wants the info. PM me. I am kinda confused as to why they care if we want to help each other with something like that, it's just friends helping friends - especially when it's just in a chat thread Dontknow but I suppose they have to draw a line somehwere or it'd be outta control. *sigh* back to the drawing board on creative ways to get votes Please

Sadwalk

It's a good thing I am saving all those Snickers bars for a snickers cheesecake for Friday night to take to a friend's house, otherwise I might just go drown my sorrows and ruin my diet LMAO Crying

Don't cry, welcome to the club laugh out loud (you're the only one who sees the red)

My situation is a little different (it's just me- no family), but I also work from home. It's my own company and it's very scary that my entire life depends on whether or not I can succeed or if my networks pay me (trust me, it destroys you when you're expecting a 10k check and then the company goes under and doesn't pay you). I'm in an area that does exceedingly well, despite the economy, but I am at the mercy of others to an extent.

I'd like to go back to get my masters, but what I love to do and what will pay well long term are different things. Part of me thinks I should just be happy doing what I am now and then deal with additional school and jobs later...but I don't know. That seems almost irresponsible of me.
I understand where your coming from, our company does refinishing, there was always a need and demand for it in vegas, until the economy went to shit, casinos and hotels were laying off workers and couldnt afford to actually do any work on there properties. the business has alot of exspenses as well, and if we dont have any wrk come in then there is no money coming in either. DH works at least one day a week, but then there are a few weeks here in there that he works maybe 3-5 days, there are also weeks where he has no work at all.

That was why when this job came along I took it, because it was guaranteed income, I can sustain our expenses with just my income, we have learned to live of only whats necessary to survive do to a ruff year in 09.

Im like you I could go to school and look for work, but I would rather keep my current job as it allows me to do everything else that is required of me from my family as well as DH business.

I won't. I will be good. I'm sitting here now having a nice glass or water, a low carb "roll", and piece of string cheese. Yum yum. I think we might have our version bacon cheeseburgers for supper. Our version would be that the bacon is "ground" up and mixed in with the beef. Yes, no carb. .5 - 1 carb for the fake bun. A little for onion. I love onion. EDIT: I have to add one more carb -- I will be having a Kraft American Single on my burger.

Hubby may be gone tonight. It's always kind of been if he's not here I don't cook or we fix something he doesn't really like. It's harder on the diet -- most of that quick stuff is not exactly diet friendly. I think we will proceed with the burgers.

Maybe we should rename us the Forgetful Target Chit Chat Dieters (who discuss recipes we can't eat)
Stop wrecking my excuses. Wink

Parchment Paper and I should own stock in the stuff. And why is it that no one makes it except Reynolds? There are rarely coupons for it either. I need a knock off cheap brand.

Applause on the bolded 1

I loved Alaska and would move back there in a heartbeat if it weren't so far from all my family.

If that's your sort of weather and general lifestyle (typically more outdoorsy folks in Anchorage- not sure about other parts of the state), I would say go for it.
DH and I are very out doorsie, you name it we love it fishing, hiking, camping, he likes to hunt Ive never been. Before we lived here we lived in cali and we were always camping or fishing or at the beach, but here in vegas there isnt any good recreation, theres a few places to go but its either too hot or too cold, and I really hate the dessert I need greenery, so we dont do anything here that we enjoy, I rather spend my free time shoppinglaugh out loud We never expected to end up here or be here for this longfor that matterEEK!

As for Family dh has a huge family, mine consists of myself and 3 other memembers, And I am currently Only speaking to my sis, she is in OK and thats one of the reasons Texas is appealing because wed be a few hours from her.

Im curious does it really have like 6 mos of darkness and then 6 mos of daylight? or is that just a myth? thats my only real concern with alaska.

TTYL Everyone, back to work I go Crying

MOT2 -- I've bought them for my dd, does that count Wink I'm pretty sure they don't make 'em in my size....or if they do, they should not shake head

What caramel do you use? When I do the caramel on the crust, or even a layer half way in the cheese cake (it sinks), I end up with super sticky crust that is like cement on the bottom of the pan. I have actually mixed the caramel in the cheesecake mix and/or poured it over top. This is the one thing I can't figure out when it comes to my cheesecakes.

Oh, and FTR - I have not had a brain injury and I am ALWAYS leaving the oven/stove on and/or forgetting something. Frown

*snip*
I use the Kraft caramels melted with half and half or cream or whatever the recipe calls for....never have a problem with that, hmmm Scratchhead

Me Too! I'm barely 40 and have been leaving things like the stove burner on low once every few months and my husband is sure I'm going to burn the house down someday.
DH was always the forgetful one and I was always the sharp one....ya know how you get married and kind of balance each other out sometimes?? Then this and things just don't get remembered around here. DD is sharp as a tack at 2-and-a-half when it comes to remembering stuff and we think it is no fluke. We joke about paying her allowance to be our memories someday LMAO

hi all...

gt, parchment paper - walgreens has a generic brand that goes on sale from time to time. there are also several green brands that make chlorine-free parchment paper, although those are much more expensive. i can vouch for that because i took to investing in that since i didn't want chlorine in contact with my food cos it's so toxic.

aquapods.. that was a national catalina deal. don't feel badly about it, nestle had the catalina shut down after they realized people were doing MM transactions. but the aquapods are really handy and actually increase your water intake i've found. must be psychological, but if i have a 24oz bottle of water i don't/can't finish it in one go, but i find myself routinely taking 2 aquapods one in each hand and drinking up! they're 11oz each. Big Grin

which is all to say, i recommend them!

hope you all are having a fab day. i am still nauseous. still. Yuk it's getting super old.

hey by the way, just learned that a former coworker had a child this past week. want to send him and his wife a little baby welcoming gift. has anyone noticed any good markdowns in the baby section at T? i really need to be super frugal on this but I'd like to be able to send them a few nice things. oxymoron i know, but we're SD'ers. Big Grin
