I don't know if He-Man had any real comic beginnings or if it was just the TV show mostly, so whatever it is, it is on its own merit.

But most of what people know about the turtles is nothing of what the original comics were. It had it's own established story/characters years before TV/media/toy lines picked up on it.

The original Eastman and Laird version was closer to Watchmen or Kick-Ass in terms of grit and content, and not the breakfast cereal friendly "cowabunga" shouting cartoon version.

Have you read any of the original? You can probably Google up mirage turtles and find most if not all of it.

i was like 6 when i started watching the cartoons. i don't want originals. just the cartoon. i learned to read with their books, and ate a ton of english muffin pizzas cause it was in the book.

We went to a party for a grown up friend of ours. My boys were so awesomely good. Grin BT made balloon creations for everyone and LT sang Happy Birthday to the birthday person in exchange for the most expensive cupcake he's ever eaten. laugh out loud Gotta love DINK birthday parties.
