Morning.

Didn't sleep well and my RLS is kicking up. Going to go by the natural foods store and see about picking up something. It's driving me crazy.

I'm overwhelmed and underwhelmed simultaneously by an idea we (wife and I) have been throwing around. It's a big risk with big changes (pretty much everything? lol), but the benefits may outweigh the risk Dontknow

Yes I am being a little cryptic. I'm a bad lounger, I usually share "real" news here after it's happened not before laugh out loud

Those are the best kinds of changes, imo because everything is new. Would it help to write down a list of pros and cons? Ones that are more important (like leaving friends behind) get a little more weight than ones that aren't as important.

Is your wife whelmed, too? If neither of you is totally thrilled with the idea, maybe the benefits aren't worth it.

I see you figured out my semi-cryptic message Wink

We don't have many friends in the area (In before TS makes a joke that we don't have any friends at all), so that wouldn't be a loss. It'd actually be a gain (most of our friends would be closer, *possibly* within drivable distance for a day/half-day trip).

My wife is on the same page as me... Both of us are thrilled with the idea, underwhelmed by the prospects (shitty economy is part of it...) and overwhelmed by the risk (most of which I haven't talked about publicly in the lounge, so there's nothing to decipher here laugh out loud...)

I think I'm just being hesitant, KWIM? Dontknow

FANTASTIC...Jack and Jamie went with their church group to Clarksville to a place called JumpZone. Jack got hot and threw up in the girl that runs the group's step-dad's car. An Escalade. Yay.
Oh no! My DH was reading to our DD and she was drinking chocolate milk. She threw up all over our bed and DH. Poor DH this is like the 6th time that she's thrown up on him.

How is everyone today?

I probably figured it out because I just made the exact same decision recently (and EEK! I didn't share with the lounge, either). laugh out loud The only difference is that all of my friends are here and I'll be starting completely new.

I'm not sure what the distance is, but is there an opportunity to interview beforehand? Or are you just concerned with the stability of the job once it's secured?

If the prospects are enough of a concern, why not wait it out? I realize that may be a few years, but not doing it now doesn't mean you'd never have the chance again, right?

Normally I'd be the first person telling you to go for it, but, not knowing what industry you're in, job security is a huge deal right now to most.

I will be applying and hopefully interviewing beforehand, we don't have the means of just uping and leaving laugh out loud

I am concerned with the stability, that's def. a big factor in it. One of the reasons we're *thinking* of doing it now is because... something changed and it opened our eyes and it's a perfect opportunity. It's hard to explain without getting into a million details about our lives.

dunno.... Dontknow
