I have a bunch of squash, including spaghetti squash. I was down in Oregon the weekend before last and they were all 49 cents a pound so I stocked up. Also have butternut and delicata.

I was just looking up spaghetti squash recipes trying to figure out what to do with it but none have really jumped out at me yet.

laugh out loud Ok but you buy your own tickets Stick Out Tongue

There are a couple fun games that adults can play too but there are usually long lines for those (and mostly adults or punk kids who for some reason think they should be able to play them too laugh out loud )

are you TRYING to torture me or does that just come naturally? laugh out loud
it's like 1.99/lb here and I just can't force myself to pay it

Spaghetti Squash Ratatouille

Ingredients:
1 Medium Spaghetti Squash
1/4 cup White Wine
1 small Onion, diced
2-3 cloves Garlic, minced
1 Green Pepper, diced
1 Red Pepper, diced
1 medium Eggplant, peeled and cubed
1 Zuchinni, sliced
2 cans Stewed Tomatoes
1 cup Spaghetti Sauce
Oregano, Basil, Pepper to taste

Steps:
Prepare and cook squash with one of the above basic methods.
Heat wine in skillet.
Saute diced onion and minced garlic in wine for a few minutes.
Add peppers to the skillet and continue to cook until tender.
Add zuchinni, eggplant, and tomatoes. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture begins to thicken.
Add spaghetti sauce and stir.
Add oregano, basil, and pepper to taste.
Spoon vegetable sauce mixture over spaghetti squash strands on serving dishes.

Serves 6-8

There are lines to play the games?! I go when ours is packed (I'd love to know when it's not packed) and I've never seen lines. That'd be annoying!

I love ours, though, because they change the games out often. They remodeled and it's so much bigger now. nod I actually lose the kid if I turn my back.

He contacted me AGAIN! I just went to check my email and there was one from him. It said in all caps "If they don't show up, can I come and get them?"

My reply:
No. Please do not contact me again. It was out of line showing up at my house, it frightened me, and my husband is very angry. I will moderate you as the moderater of freecycle, but if anyone else tells me you did that, I will remove you from this group. You are being very pushy.
I was going to volunteer for any needed mean-ity purposes, but I am learning jenni has a totally evil streak she keeps hidden most days, and that's she moar than capable of dealing with that freecycler!!

I'm all natural. Big Grin

It's $1.49 here, but I bought directly from the farm down in OR.

I'll take that bet. My bet is that they asked her once and learned their lesson.
