Finished my first teacher appreciation breakfast of the year. It went great!! Note to self: Bacon, egg & cheese > sausage egg and cheese, but I need to bring more potato egg & cheese next time.

PTA newsletter time. Boy this not counting business sure is a lot of work. Whee

Quote from Autumn :
The other day I saw a mouse. So I go chase after it to catch it and take it outside. So I dive at the thing and catch it. Farker bites the hell out of my finger. I don't think I was aware mice bite, lol. My pet mouse, Wolf, never bit. Though I guess it's obvious they would. Anyway so the thing is dangling from my finger and I'm gong "F*CK!" and finally get it off and toss it into this zippered basket thing and close it. So I go to the kitchen to wash my hands and finger and Christian comes running in "Mama, the basket has a hole in it." ..two seconds later Cat comes running by with the mouse in his mouth. Which he then of course dropped in the bathroom. So then the mouse runs behind the basket of toilet paper and all three cats walk into the bathroom like they're on some sort of ninja siege. So I try to catch the mouse and it keeps running from one side of the room to the other. Then Cat swiped at the mouse but instead of gettinig the mouse he got my leg. So I turned to kick him and the mouse got away. I don't know where the Hell it went.

You're not kidding. The other day Christian came went up to Patrick outside "What are these things on my legs?" and he had a zillion tiny TINY black things running over his legs (he had been playing outside in the woody area). So we got them off and had him take a bath. He's got a lot of little bites behind his knee on one of his legs. At least he didn't bring them inside.
Oooh...I'm gonna die! The odd thing is...about two days ago I said to Patrick I was super achy and I wasn't sure why and then last night I felt like crap and went downstairs and told Patrick "I...am not well." laugh out loud Never heard of that before.

Anyone ever move all the furniture and personal belongings in your house? How much did it cost you to relocate?

I'm seeing prices on google from $1,000 to $7,000. Shocking

I remember sneaking my first Walkman into bed with me to listen. And then there was a cool boy who used to tape it for me.

Cold update: possibly feeling a tiny bit better. Not as stuffy or as runny as yesterday so far.

And Autumn please be careful with that mouse bite. They do carry some serious nasties.

Daaamn. That's expensive. It didn't cost us much. We just rented a U-Haul but we did everything ourselves. It was just from Kentucky to Tennessee. My parents used Berkins (or something like that) to move from Florida to Tennessee. I can ask them how much it was if you want. Of course that was about 17 years ago so prices have changed, lol.

Glad you're getting better Smilie

And nah, I'm sure it'll be fine. I'll keep an eye out but I'm not terribly worried or anything. I was more surprised it bit me than anything else, lol.

We live on the 3rd floor (no elevator), so we'll need movers... lol, I'd love to just rent a u-haul and do it myself...

The alternative might be to rent a u-haul and "rent" movers here and wherever we move to...

Nah, it's alight, no need to ask, a lot has changed in 17 years, I was just trying to get a feel if the prices I've found are realistic or I just suck at searching.

Ouch. Yeah I wouldn't want to move stuff from a third floor. I think I'd see what the price difference is between hiring movers or hiring people to bring your stuff down to a U-Haul. I think slickitty just moved recently and I think it was pretty far away so she might have used movers (if you want to ask her).

I was quoted more than $5k to move 1100sq ft of stuff out of a two story condo and transport it 650 miles by several companies last year.

Thanks, after I figure out which one is slickkitty and which one is the other one that has a similar username, I'll PM her laugh out loud

I know when we moved down here, my wife's company paid for relocation. So they hired "movers" for us, and by movers I mean -- they packed everything up themselves, took everything in a truck, kept it there until we got a place, came in and unpacked everything for us, re-assembled everything that they had to disassemble and pretty much even hung our clothes into the new closets laugh out loud That's on the higher end of what i've found on google. The lower end is just "regular" movers whatever that means.

Thanks We have about 1000 sq.ft. and a storage unit. I'm looking to transport between 250-500 miles. So google prices, as outrageous as they seem, are realistic.

laugh out loud I get them confused all the time too.

Ooh...I would Love to have movers like that. I guess with regular movers you pack everything up yourself and they just move it to the truck and to your new place and then bring everything in. I don't know if they set up things or put things where you want them or what.

Yeah... thanks. I may request some "real" quotes later once we decide where exactly we want to move to laugh out loud and I'll be the low-ball numbers are going to skyrocket too...

The kid.... has strep AGAIN. He just got over it..what? 2 weeks ago? I had to leave school early to check him out. The dr said he's had over 40 cases of strep so far this week. Facepalm
I almost always get what the kid has so I'm downing OJ like it's vodka. (Wait... should that be the other way around? Scratchhead laugh out loud)

I can not get sick. The kid can't go back to school until Monday. This makes 4 days he's missed in 4.5 weeks. Crazylaugh
