Since other vitamins make me sick, I think I'm going to keep up with the Emergen-C so I don't catch everything the kid brings home.
Just an FYI for those who haven't tried Emergen-C.
He said surgery was not an option. He showed me the xrays on his computer. It's so obvious that are issues.
I have a PCP appt in a few weeks. I may see about another med for it to give my liver a rest.
Took a third aleve a bit ago and it is helping some. I need to replace my ortho pillow. Doc said that would help some but it is not as supportive as it once was.
I see how people can get addicted to pain meds.
Lately there have been a lot of $15, $20 or $30 items that R has said he likes or he wants but he has not bought (he hates to spend money sometimes). Most of these are not necessities just things he sees that he likes. For instance yesterday he tried on a fleece jacket at Costco but decided not to get it because the line was super long and he didn't really "need" another jacket. I had been thinking about what to get him for Christmas as he's sort of difficult to buy for (have we heard this before?). My original idea was to buy him new fixtures, vanity , etc for our weird 70's dark green bathroom as is is both ugly and disgusting (no amount of cleaning product gets it very clean as it's old and most of the enamel is worn off the tub). So that was a rather large idea but really only a few items.
Now I'm rethinking this idea. I think bathroom supplies might not be seen as a "gift" as they will need to be installed. I can install most everything myself but I'm afraid he'd feel obligated to help.
So should I stick with redoing the bathroom (which is sort of a gift for me too) or should I start buying things he says he likes but does not actually purchase?
In every situation I believe it's better to ask a person what they want. And if he's the type to say "oh, nothing," tell him how that makes you feel and how important it is to you to give him a gift at Christmas/on his birthday/etc. If he cares about you he'll understand that and then he should come up with an idea.
Or, just hand him a stack of singles & tell him he's got the night to himself.

I swear you just love quoting people who mean THE EXACT OPPOSITE of what is said!!!
I take 2 aleve daily for 4 degenerative discs in my neck. That used to be enough to get me through the day, but not anymore.
I need a massage. My 9 year old has small enough fingers that he will get in there and push the vertebre apart (he doesn't realize that is what he is doing). It is like heaven.
They're older than I am!!!

No, I only take 13 meds.
