Isn't redjen the cleaning whiz here?
I am not cleaning up any whiz here Mister Sausage. Ranting

But BG I would start off by giving it a good wipedown with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Sadly of all my old cleaning clients who had frontloaders most of the dryers did have a blueish stain. I had always thought it was from dark washed blue jeans.

Also I was unaware there were tun imserts you could buy to install yourself? Will Home Depot or Lowe's have these or do I need to go to a plumbing supply place?

I'm almost afraid to post our bathroom. No matter how much I clean it just looks dirty.

Mine is that way around the tub. It was painted...yeah, you read that right...the tub and surround. Then they put up some sort of sticky thing all along the joint where the surround and tub meet. It looked awful and I took it off. The sticky will not come off. It looks about how things look when you take a really old sticker off, all the way around. AND the bottom of the tub? Oh, you can't clean that with a cleaner and a rag. Oh, no. That would be simple. You have to use a cleaner and a Magic Eraser. Every time. I hate that farking tub. We can't even replace it. It's old and like 1 inch shorter than most standard tubs. It's tucked in between an exterior wall and a closet. Hate.

Have you tried using Goof Off to get the sticker residue off?

I haven't even measured to see if ours is a standard sized tub. Heaven help me Facepalm I hope it is as ours is wedged betweeen an exterioir wall and the hot water heater. Yep, you read right, some moron put the hot water heater in what would be the linen closet in most noramlly constructed homes. So we only have three closets in the whole house; one tiny one in each bedroom and the hallway closet (which would probably have been the coat closet at one time) is now our linen closet. Off to measure the freaking tub .....

Yea I read about the magic eraser, thats the first thing I was going to try. Usually blue jeans do it, but this was a dark blue comforter. I know it's not going to be perfect forever...but it was only the 3rd time I used it...Facepalm
Also I think theres a big gash in the drum and if thats the case, I need to call costcos and have them bring a new one out.

I believe they sell the non-custom ones ( inserts), if you need and odd size maybe not. Bathfitters sucks, you could probably do a better job then them and they charge 2k min. I'm not sure where we are getting ours yet, but they do sell them. google around and read up about it and see in your area who carries it or something. This is all still new to me..laugh out loud

Yeah I talked to the Bathfitter people already $2500 minimum. When I told them that was outrageous the salesperson said it was because of the one day installation. My used to be friend Dave had one installed while I was rooming with him. They sent out two guys and while they did a great job installing it it only took 6 hours and the smell was terrible. I got a migraine from it and it lingered in the house (all windows wide open) for nearly a week. SoI'm not seeing it being worth $2500. I see inserts for less than $500 and I highly boubt they pay those guys $1000 each per day. Probably more like $250 each per job and $1750 is for advertising, profit and the Bathfitter name.

One of our close friends had his tub reglazed. Which originally I thought would be a great idea. But a few weeks after he had it done he dropped a plastic bottle of bodywash (it's bound to happen) and the new glaze shattered. The company said, "That could happen." and did not warranty it. They said he damaged the reglaze and it wasn't considered a defect. So he spent another $500 to have it redone. I am way too clumsy for that.

I measured and almost fainted. It measures 30 X 59. Which would be an inch short of standard. Then I remembered the dumb paneling. Yes, paneling in the shower. Once I pry that mess off the walls it should be a standard 30 X 60 opening.

I had Goo-gone, but you pour it on, so it's hard at that angle. I think they sell spray, so I'm going to try to find some.
