Wave

Had a good weekend. We went camping up in Pine Mountain. Campground was 75% empty so it was nice and quiet.

My AC in my truck stopped working Saturday. The fan isn't turning Annoyed so I don't have air or heat. Gotta get it fixed this week.

Sounds fun.

At least it's not super hot like it's been. It's Autumn so it's cool. Naturally.

I was telling Bertha last night that I have to get the air in my car fixed too. When I was picking up Elizabeth at school the other day I turned on the air and I heard this huge thumping sound and it shook the car. Now when I turn the air on it buzzes SO loud it's like an airplane taking off. But the worst part is my car smells like something dead especially when I turn on the air. It's horrible. I think it was a mouse. Whenever I take my car in for a tune up they find a mouse nest in the engine somewhere. Bleck. The guy I took it to yesterday said it'll cost 40 dollars to take it out and fix it but if the wheel or whatever that goes around needs replacing then that'll be extra but most likely they won't have to replace it. Gross though, huh?

Patrick left today and he won't be back for two weeks. It's the kid's fall break this week too so I think he timed it on purpose laugh out loud There was a ton of stuff to get ready this past week for him to leave. He always does the internet streaming for this horse show but this year is different cause the guy who used to run the cameras and print the DVDs for the different horse classes had a stroke earlier this year. He's doing ok but he can't do the show so he and Patrick partnered up and Patrick's doing all the stuff and they split the money. Patrick had to hire 8 guys or something to run all the cameras and we had to print out 500 DVDs for the orders and all sorts of stuff. I think he's kind of nervous just cause it's the first time he's run it all at this show and it's a huge show. He forgot one of the cameras...had it sitting next to the basketball hoop in the driveway and just forgot to put it in his truck. Luckily the show doesn't start till next Saturday (he has to go early and set up) so I'm gonna ship it out tomorrow.

yeah...it feels like they JUST started school and they already have a week off. I never had fall break in school until I went to college. Did you have it when you were in school?

Oh, get this...so my nephew's party was last night (Robert's sister's kid). It was outside, there was a bonfire, that sort of thing. It was COLD. Robert's cousin, who he DESPISES, showed up after having pictures made with her boyfriend. She had on a hoodie over her blouse, but was wearing a mini-skirt with heels (and she is NOT skinny, k?) and her hair in CORNROWS, pulled to the side in a side ponytail. She had enough make up on to look like a clown...Robert's grandmother didn't even LOOK at her. She has 2 kids by 2 different men, and her mother (who isn't much different that her) has custody of the little boy (who is Jack's age), and neither of them really parent the little girl, who is 4. Robert's other aunt does (and she's good at it) unless she accidentally makes them mad (which is not hard), then they take the little girl away for a while. Anyway, they got mad at her because she didn't want to go in on a gift for the little girl's bday (she had already bought her one) so they took her away for 2 1/2 months Roll Eyes (Sarcastic). Keep in mind this little girl thinks of that aunt as her mom. Anyway, they had her on picture day for preschool. They dressed her in a dress and tacky thigh high boots. Yes, they dressed the child like a hooker.

I am almost glad Robert didn't go. He would have said something, and it wouldn't have been pretty.

Yawn I took D to a hockey game. We sat in my friend's box suite and them D got to skate with the players after the game. He has been on cloud nine ever since. He hugged, kissed and thanked me over a dozen times and told me it was the best day ever. After that the girls and I went driving and taking pictures of the amazing fall colors here. WOW, I live in such a beautiful (despite being cold) area!

Glad you had a good day!

BT lost a tooth this afternoon. I need to remember to write his tooth fairy letter before I go to bed.

We have Christmas break (winter break), mid-winter break and spring break here.

Mid-winter break is basically because so many parents take the kids out of school to go skiing, it's disrupting. So they gave a week off and it cut way down on that.
