mysterious "bruising" - Limited OT

5,257 3,968 October 30, 2010 at 10:50 AM in Chat
over the last 2 weeks i've developed many "bruises" and i have no idea where they came from. i haven't taken any falls, bumped into anything...nothing like that. what is weird is that you can't actually tell there's a bruise there - there is no discoloration of the skin. but when i touch that spot it hurts like it is a bruise.

there are "bruises" on one of my calves, both my knees, my left hip, my left butt cheek, my right upper arm, part of my right shoulder (on my back) and one or two places on my right breast. Ermm

it's very weird, and it's actually really bothering me. i've got all sorts of weird ailments running through my head right now. i promise that i have not taken a fall or a random roll down a big hill lately. this whole thing started about two weeks ago with my knees and has just gone from there.

diagnose me Lounge.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah - Commi-Cali and their anti-gun stance - sucks doesn't it -should be changed because all those gang-bangers have the good guns Doh

NJ is strict as well, and I'd never live there either - if we ever decided to move - it would definitely be a firearm friendly state nod and that means getting a CCW License easily - none of this busting your ass to get one.
Commie-Cali really needs to get a grip and stop targeting lawful citizens for the crimes of gangs and others. Punishing the citizens that obey the law is bass-ackwards to the max.

I'm moving in a few weeks back to my home state and am pretty excited about it. Working for my uncle is great and now I get to go back to run more of the company as his right-hand. Still have to clean that damn Slurpee machine before the end of my shift though. Sadwalk

It's just one state West but more family is there. Got my CCW from there anyway since it is recognized almost as much as Florida's concealed carry permit. I am new to the CCW club but really like being able to carry to protect myself especially at night or if I was stranded somewhere. Even as a healthy guy that's no match for a druggie or a couple of people seeing you as a target for crime.

Loving my Kahr CW9 more and more too. Elmer (podium) suggested 147 grain rounds and I have been putting those through to get used to them. Seems to soften the recoil since the round is sub-sonic. Accuracy is pretty good. I'll be a reserve officer still so I still have to practice more with my Kahr before I will feel like I can qualify with it.

I go to a Base over in NJ, and I keep forgetting that I carry a firearm in my purse, and there is a big sign before you approach the gate that says no FIREARMS, etc. allowed on the base, and I say to myself "shit" I forgot again to leave it at home - and I'm always carrying it while in NJ - and I'm not allowed Blush If I ever get pulled over, I'm in deep doo-doo EEK! EEK! But heck, we are a stone's throw across the river, it's like how does one not do this - as ya cross the river, come back, cross the river, come back - WTF -they expect us to take it out - put it back - take it out - put it back - it's ridiculous - I think all State should recognize others CCW permits nod

No I have not. All the sore spots that were like bruises (but not visible) are now pretty much gone. Thanks for asking.

That's a plus, but you still don't know what causes them - if they re-appear will you see a doctor next time?

I have never understood that fear of doctors... they are there to do the opposite of what you think they will do to you... help you not hurt you...

Some people have "white coat syndrome" when it comes to having their blood pressure taken - which is why it's taken twice at the doctor's office - once by the nurse or tech whom comes in the room first - and then again by the doctor - by then the patient will have calmed down enough to hopefully not have "white coat syndrome".

That is a most accurate statement - the best doctor(s) came from those whom trained and got their license while during the War(s) and actually had field experience and had to do it ALL - compared to those today whom simply write a script and you are on your way - because they do not know how to do it ALL - they are not skilled enough - it's evident if you are/were lucky enough to have had one of the older types of doctor(s) compared to the newer one's who say "me, give a shot for bursitis - nah - I'll send you to an orthopedic" - which is something simple enough for a family doctor to do - and they should have learned this in medical school - along with a host of other things - such as simple suturing as well. Alas, much easy to send you to a specialist, than treat you themselves. No wonder health care is costing so much money Doh
