Did you watch?
For a show on a non premium cable channel, I thought it was very good. I never read the comic, so I don't know how it compares, but I'll be watching every Sunday. pisses me off that I don't get AMC in HD though.

This show has a lost a lot of that of late exploring the "what ifs" of the human element.

It's WAY better than season 2, spending half the season wandering through the woods looking for a lost brat.
Lots of things being set up, lots of questions and several directions the show can go in. Who's feeding the walkers? Will Glen live? What's Carol up to? Will Daryl (and/or Tyrese) go looking for Carol? What kind of crapstorm is big G planning? Will Bob get his bottle? Find out next week (maybe), same dead time, same dead channel.
Everyone is always discussing their feelings and baggage. Who gives a crap?
The Governor surviving last season. WTF? Is he invisible to these people? Does he have a cloaking device? Are they using blanks for bullets?
Kicking Carol out of the group not only didn't make any sense at all, she's a way better asset than most of the sponges they picked up from Woodbury. Who would do that???? No one, that's who.
At the end of last season we got a pretty good look at the exterior of the prison and there are holes and entries all over the place. NOT the prison yard ... the building itself. And yet, anytime anyone has to get anywhere inside that place to go save someone or kick some ass, it takes a farkin' hour to accomplish entry.
In the course of 3 years, we have seen ONE set of walkie talkies and those were shared by Morgan and Rick. Are there no walkie-talkies and batteries left on the planet? Can these numbnuts not establish some type of communication that doesn't require smoke signals or running 3 miles in slow motion to yell for help?
Why are so many walkers drawn to the prison? It took Rick and the gang 2 years to find it because it's way the hell out in the middle of nowhere, and yet 100 walkers a day wander up to this place like homeless to a soup kitchen.
Where are all the birds? I understand that walkers can catch and eat dogs and cows and horses, etc. But seriously, where the hell are all the birds?
Just a few things that have been bugging me.
He did it just as much for his own selfish, bullish reasons as he did for her own safety, being outed as the internal killer and showing a very rabid group that she would kill anyone if, in her eyes, it was the best for "the group."
Look at it this way - would YOU risk your life going outside the fences to look for some batteries and walkies?
