Did you watch?

For a show on a non premium cable channel, I thought it was very good. I never read the comic, so I don't know how it compares, but I'll be watching every Sunday. pisses me off that I don't get AMC in HD though.

I don't remember how they relate to the story but there is a fun fact about those radio broadcasts. Before I get to that I would like to point out how absurd it is that Tyreese would be hallucinating radio broadcasts by a British person. laugh out loud Now the reason it was a British person was because they were trying to be clever. That mystery guy? Rick.

Been meaning to post this all week, and I see no one else mentioned it.
When Sasha went all ninja on the zombies, as she slashes one zombie she cut Abraham's arm on the follow through. With zombie blood on the blade wouldn't that basically be the same as him getting bitten?

Great episode for me. Is as I expected it and yeah you can see that there is a glimmer of hope here or it could be all wonky but feels hopeful. As I said a couple of episodes before, things are going to change and what we're used to seeing over the past couple of seasons will change in a different way.

I wondered if Abraham has an immunity to the virus. This was a slooowwww moving episode to get to Alexandria. Disappointing.

That was Maggie's step-mom back at the farm, her real mom had died years before Z-day.

I thought way back in season 1,they discovered that blood splatter wasn't enough to infect you, even if it got in your mouth or an open wound. Maybe it was in "Guts"? I think they did address it at some point.

Tyreese mentioned his father would always have news radio on. if that included NPR (and probably some other national feeds), the BBC World Service is included in their programming. if i'm driving when it's dark outside and turn on my local affiliate, i might hear a British voice. it's also an accent different than those around him, so it's not really that absurd for it to stick out in his mind.

i look forward to the new and depressing ways the group will be screwed over by this new setting. i allowed myself a glimmer of hope once both representatives from Alexandria were under the same roof and it seemed there were not others waiting in the woods to ambush, but the vibe in the car after Michonne pointed out there were no people in any of Aaron's pictures makes me think the worst. i'm hoping we get more of a CDC-esque situation (real safety for a short time leading to a catastrophic event) as opposed to Woodbury (latent evil waiting to be exposed).

one of the people with whom i was watching last night jokingly proposed that on the other side of that (relatively weak) fence was just a boombox playing a recording of children, and as soon as Rick sees it, the commandos will burst out of the tree line.

I too hope that this is actually a safe place, like the CDC, and things go to hell again due to outside sources...like another tornado ripping into the wall or something.

How would the city have known that Rick's breaking point was hearing kids laugh? Seems far fetched that they would have stumbled onto that...especially after Nathan was in the barn saying there would be a spot in the community that no one outside the walls would be able to hear his daughter cry and attract attention. So he is saying he can provide protection from noise, and then they attract him with the noise they are saying they can mask? haha

I can't tell if the writers were just trying to add drama by pointing out the 'no people in the pics' or if that will come back into play. The thing about the pics that gets me more than the 'crappy camera they just found' was that they were printed on high gloss photo paper. I would have expected some 8x11 black and whites.

To see if they are dangerous or a liar or both. In this zombie world, they know two things, you'll have to kill zombies and you may have to kill a living person to survive. They want to know why you would kill someone living. The wrong answer could show the more sadistic or sociopathic or psychopathic side while the right answer should be a combination of both, but with good intents like self defense or defending family and friends, but those that do it and love doing it would be dangerous for the group.

If anyone here follows the comics and can link me to a good website to keep up, I would appreciate it. I have bounced around on a couple of blogs that follow and chat about it but I've not been impressed with their thoughts so far.

If you're a sociopath, I think you would still know what answer people are looking for.

I thought he said a crappy printer they found.. but I could be wrong. That would explain more about whatever printer paper was already in the thing, etc.

Perhaps. But some sociopaths develop because of their situation and some are born that way. Usually takes a harsh or emotional trigger for a sociopath to develop, like the loss of a loved one, a traumatic situation like abuse, and so on. In those cases, they may not necessarily know the answers to the questions that they want to hear. The Gov is a classic example of that.
