Did you watch?

For a show on a non premium cable channel, I thought it was very good. I never read the comic, so I don't know how it compares, but I'll be watching every Sunday. pisses me off that I don't get AMC in HD though.

I thought the previews looked good also (but they really didn't show much at all). And as to your other thought...World War Z showed outbreaks happening throughout the movie. In that series the outbreak was VERY fast.
Right, can't believe I forgot World War Z! Only watched it once, but it felt like the first half and the second half were completely separate movies.

A friend also recommended that I watch a 5 part miniseries called Dead Set. From what I hear, it plays by Snyder's zombie rules and would fit in with the Dawn remake universe.

From what I can gather of this season 5 finale, the people that were let down seem to be comic readers. I'll admit, if I wasn't expecting to see more crossover from the comics, I probably would have been satisfied with the character development and the story advances established in the episode.

It was like they got the extra 30 minutes of air time but only filled it with 15 minutes of actual content. I couldn't believe the amount of commercials in that last half hour. I get it! Mad Men is ending! Let me know about it 20 times in 30 minutes! I just wish they had 5 more minutes of screen time, and maybe they could have ended the ep with the lead-in to a big event. When they had that little epilogue with Michonne, I was thinking, "Here we go, they're going to drop a bombshell!" At any rate, season 6 should have some good content!

Just going off all of the hype leading up to last night's episode, I was expecting ... more. Not sure what that means but I was certainly expecting it. laugh out loud

Lets face it, we all expected a major character to die.

However, I was very pleased with how it ended. I love when the good guys stick together (loyalty is big to me) and are able to end the season on a positive note.

I'm glad the show warned me to have a box of tissues ready. Tears of boredom were flowing throughout that episode.
I said almost the exact same thing to my wife after we finished it this evening. Yawn

Yeah not sure where bringing the tissues was coming from but for the first time since the show started, Norman Reedus epic failed. laugh out loud Is this the start of the decline? Nahh doubt it. But next season, expect the wild west when it comes to newly dead bodies. It was a good season finale but was yes a set up season and very much underwhelming. They played it like GoT does with their finale.

Best part of the finale- Carol, " I want my dish back". ( no one likes Carol's casseroles LOL)
I like the comparison of the decisions:
Sasha to kill or not kill Gabriel
Glen to kill or not kill
Morgan puts the wolves in the car , honks horn to assure no walkers, does not kill( life sacred)
Pete- not a second thought to kill ( thought he would go after his wife though, just so Rick could not
Have her)
Rick, did not hesitate once Deanna gave the order ( thinks and acts like Shane now)

Not only was Gabriel's shirt clean and white after the zombie killings, but ever notice Rick's T shirts under his sheriff shirts were always clean.

This was a low key episode for Daryl and season for Daryl, next season will have more fighting and he will be as awesome as ever. Finally, the wolves were very interested in the pictures Aaron left behind, did they know these people or not?

So you watch Talking Dead too? No way did I EVER think he was making an incredible amount of noise to make sure the zombies wouldn't come around...I mean...it completely contradicts the way everyone has acted for 5 years. Not saying that I "don't buy it" just saying that they should have made his thoughts way more obvious in the show.

But Morgan leaving those people alive also completely contradicts Rick's thoughts about letting people live. Rick said they couldn't just banish people because they would find them and attack them. So now Morgan has let two people live, they came about insider knowledge also, and now they are going to attack. Does Rick/Crew go on the offensive though next season?

I said to my wife, it says something about the Alexandria-ites when they will leave perfectly good food and let it (or MAKE IT) go to waste so easily. Image not having anything to eat for 3 days, and praising the Lord because you found a can of corn (or eating yourself sick on Pudding)...and these people are throwing multiple meals away.

Hmmm, I feel like I read that somewhere else.... laugh out loud

They were looking at pics of Rick, nothing at all would lead me to believe that Rick ran into the Wolves years ago and #1) he was the only one and #2) he didn't tell any one else about it.

Hell, look at Morgan in this exact same episode, when the "wolf" demands for what I assume is his cup of soup. Morgan says, "Can I keep a little of it? Just to get me through a day or two? You know, just to keep me alive?"

If that's not the perfect dichotomy between living outside and living inside, I don't know what is!

Iagree I don't know what I expected but I expected an ending that made waiting for it to start back more difficult and exciting. I felt like it was a kinda of "meh" ending. It would've been a great mid season episode but I expected more from a finale.

I doubt it. They were probably interested in the pictures for the same reason Aaron brought the pictures with him. They are supposed to show how many resources the community has to encourage groups to come back with him. In this case it pretty much tells the wolves that not far away is a community with walls, electricity, water, plenty of supplies to steal, and plenty of people to cut up, torture, and probably eat.

Did they talk about this on Talking Dead?
Your statement goes against everything they have ever mentioned or done on The Walking Dead with regards to loud noises and walkers. In fact, last night, the two guys used loud music to lure the walkers back into the trailer to reset the trap.

I'm pretty sure he honked the horn to attract walkers. That would insure that the wolves didn't get out. (even though they did)

Only if Morgan just killed those two Wolves... or just let the walker eat em... then season 6 would be sooooooo much easier...
