Bursting your bubble, any shop can supply old parts for you, doesn't mean they came from your vehicle - and many will do so - if you ask for old parts back. We make it a habit of keeping the new parts box they came in and put in the old part - so there is no mistake about what was removed and replaced - if a customer asks to see said parts. But not all shops do this.

Also, some old parts cannot be given/shown back, as there is a "core charge" for them, that the shop has to pay for - therefore, they go back for credit on the shop's bill.
