I also have lactose intolerance but I'm on medication for that and initially we thought maybe the lactose medication stopped working but then I noticed I got sick even without eating dairy. I stopped eating gluten because my wife found out people with lactose intolerance have a tendency to develop gluten problems too and sure enough that cured it.

I have been trying those gluten-zyme pills someone linked in The Lounge the last time we were discussing this and they seem to be working really well. So far I have eaten a dunkin donut and breaded boneless chicken wings without getting sick by taking those pills.

This must really suck for anyone whom has these issues - having to watch what you eat - not knowing if someone has baked or cooked something with stuff you can't eat - eating out - etc. I feel you and SC and anyone else dealing with this. I know I can't eat Potassium rich foods, due to a kidney issue - and that's not hard to do - but what you guys go thru is much more difficult.

I love the gluten-zyme. Even if I do get sick it really helps lessen the nausea. The nausea is the worst part by far!

I'm lactose intolerant but in denial Roll

Tell your co-worker to try these [digestiveadvantage.com]. They are the best thing EVER. You take one every day and then you can pretty much eat whatever you want for the entire day. I eat ice cream, regular milk with my cereal, I have even eaten cheesecake and not gotten sick! It's like $8 for a box of 30 pills at Walmart. It's so totally worth it.

What I've discovered so far is that if I take those and then eat something with gluten I still get a little bit of a stomach ache, but no nausea and no cramps and most importantly for me, no . Sick
