Sherlock is a absolutely brilliant TV show from the BBC. The three episodes aired on BBC One in July/August and PBS in Oct/Nov of 2010. It did so well in fact that they are going to air three more 90 minute episodes in the fall of 2011. So if you have a chance, watch this show. It's really amazing, we're watching the last episode of season one right now.
Note: It's a modern day Sherlock Holmes and is set in London.

Rumor is you have some pull with those guys.
Same here. Too bad it's only 3 episodes (more like 6 since it's 1.5 hours) but I'll take quality over quantity any day.

I don't even think of Elementary as a Sherlock show. It's more of another detective show, but it's still worth watching. It's the same formula as any other show, but with more wit.
Did Sherlock die? It will be a very short series 3 if he did. Do we get to find out how he did it?
The three episodes for series 3 air on PBS' Masterpiece Theater starting this Sunday, at 9:58pm ET. Just an FYI, all three episodes have already aired in the UK.

BTW, I've read a couple of news articles recently that say the powers that be are pushing for a series 4 of Sherlock to be produced and aired this year. No word yet on if that will happen.
The writer revealed: "Rather excitingly, Mark [Gatiss] and I, for no particular reason, we just got out of the rain and sat at the top of the [Sherlock] production bus and we just started plotting out what we could do in the future - and we plotted out the whole of Series 4 and 5."
He added: "...I think we've got some crackers. The ideas we had that day, I thought, were the best we've ever had."
Update [Monday 13 January 2014]: The BBC's Press Office told CultBox today that, despite Steven Moffat's announcement, there is "nothing the BBC can say officially as yet".
