Should Men wear uggs?

1,489 217 January 11, 2011 at 09:15 PM in Chat Zappos
I'm sure you all know what uggs are...the boots that a lot of girls and women are wearing these days now and for the past several years.

So apparently they also make these for Men (I just realized..maybe i'm extremely late at realizing this, maybe not).....which I think is very awkward. I personally would never wear one myself but I would like to know what your take on this is.

This is an example:

http://www.zappos.com/ugg-classic-short-black~1 (doesn't look much different than the girl ones at all)

So vote whether you think men should wear uggs or not

Also as a bonus question for the guys:

As a guy....would you wear a pair of uggs?

p.s.

I have never seen a guy wearing uggs before.

They're not flattering at all. But hey, if girls want to make their legs look thicker/fatter/fuzzier, that's their prerogative. Dontknow

Just the look of UGG would be enough to turn men off. The label doesn't really matter when people buy knockoffs of them all the time. For a boot that people claim to be so ugly, I see a lot of people wearing cheap knockoffs.

Definitely goes beyond the label for UGGs. FTR, I'm talking about traditional UGG. I know there are boots that look nothing like their traditional ones.

I actually saw a man wearing a pair of UGG tall traditional boots and I must admit I didn't really like it. To each his own, though. And at least his feet were warm!

Edit:

You wouldn't even know these were UGG boots if you didn't see the label. Not all UGG boots equate to the traditional pair you typically see women wearing.
I see uggs knockoffs all the time....even walmart sells them for real cheap.

I know. For people proclaiming that they're so ugly, I don't know why someone buy knockoffs of them. Especially considering the quality is so much worse.

if i wear boots, it's either raining/snowing or i'm about to get really dirty. these wouldn't do me much good in either situation.

i might be in the minority, but do people's feet really get that cold wearing normal shoes and socks? i used to walk around campus all the time with Sambas and crew socks, and it would have to get really cold before it affected my feet.

as for the comfort: i'd bet any amount of money that good running shoes are more comfortable than these over a long day.
Yeah, wearing running shoes through slush feels awesome on your feet.

You're comparing two different types of shoes. I wouldn't wear Uggs to go run and I wouldn't wear sneakers through the snow.

Uggs keep the bottom of my pants dry and I don't think my legs look like furry tree trunks or whatever the fark Mal is talking about.

Confused I have yet to see someone with thin legs wear Uggs and have their legs look "thicker/fatter/fuzzier". IMO if you already have thick/fat/fuzzie legs, then it's the fat legs making the legs look bad.
Kinda like skinny jeans, hence the word skinny. I wish fat people would seriously stop wearing them, they say skinny for a reason.OMG

I could understand if Uggs went up your entire leg, then I could maybe agree. I always wear the short ones and my ankles don't look fatter. laugh out loud I can't imagine the tall ones would make someone's legs look fat either.

They are incredibly comfortable. I know they're expensive, but a real pair feels so good on your feet. I'm so excited to get the new pair I ordered because the fur feels incredible on your feet as you break them in. Not to mention, they were over half off at $73 and they'll last me a while.

I used to think they were ugly, but they have definitely grown on me. I just ordered my third pair and I have a pair of the moccasins.
