Did anyone else receive an email from Market View Research asking you to participate in a Marlboro survey? It says you'll be entered in a sweepstakes for a $100 Amazon gift card for completing the survey. I'm wondering if it's legitimate or some phishing scheme?

Did they ask for much personal info, like your birth date? I guess I'd be concerned if they have that info and then a week or so from now they tell you that you won, to give them your Social Security Number. Then they'd have all the info they need for identity theft. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

Me too! What do they look like? Was it the "bonus gift"? Thought that was a dome ashtray???
Wonder if they ran out of the ashtrays, and are now sending coasters....which would be a bummer....rather have the ashtray.
But, free is free....I can always give them to my sister.

Just birth date and zip code as I recall. I'm still doing it now, but it seems pretty legitimate. The questions are really specific to the contest, like the format and how easy it was to understand the rules, motivation for playing, etc. But if later down the line something like that happens, asking for my social security number, I definitely would not give that. It's good to be a little paranoid sometimes!

They dont need a SS# for under $600 so I wouldnt give it to them if they ask
