they are very homemade as opposed to gourmet. i think CA people grew up on them so they have a bias towards them like my college roommate. she made them out to be the greatest. me and dh don't really like them.

on the other hand, we absolutely love these and i think they sell them at target-

Ohhh, they look wonderful , the fillings look drool although I usually don't care for goo.. I'm a bit of a purist LOL

I might just have to try both of these.

WE have an airforce base and an army base within about 30 miles of here.

Cathi, you can always do what we do- buy the chocolate chips at Safeway (Genuardi's for you). Yes, we've been known to eat them plain, in cookies, in pancakes...

Another decent store bought chocolate chip is the Sunspire organic chocolate chip. It has that snap to it that you find in higher end chocolate. I've found them at Giant (Stop n Shop).

hello peoples! What a day! I've been running non stop since this morning. Had to pay rent, fax crap, and finally broke down and bought me a new laptop. She's a beauty.

Stopped by 2 targets and had no coupon issues. Shocker. Was a nice day.

Went to a friends house and got a tattoo. My brother actually did a tiny butterfly years ago but it was just the outline and highly faded. Friend covered it and added to it. Took three straight hours but he is awesome! I'll have to take pics.

Sorry about not posting the DPCI on the mixer. That would require me digging through my purse and that could take years.

I will say that at all three stores I was at today I saw them but all were on the regular aisle with the rest. None were on an endcap. One store had 4 of them.

Got up, grabbed my coffee, checked on how 'thismom' was doing with her contest. Your still in the lead!! Then I come to sit down in chat for my first 5 minutes..and it's closed, locked, done! I checked for a warning, I got nothing, I looked at Elmo, he's doing good, still got his knife.

Then I thought..it was one of you guys...you did something. I searched and searched, couldn't find anything that would cause a lock down...then finally it hits me...Elmo did not show the mods his new toy..if he had, would we have a new thread? hmmmmRoll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Oh my! Ya'll are chatty. I was going to try to catch up, but goodness!!!

Looks like we had a thread reset? And already there's 5 pages...

My oldest DD turns 14 today. Now *that* is some time flying by.

I think ya'll were right about Mavis. DH and I chatted a bit and he helped calm my nerves. Went to bed around 1am, and she did not wake up until 7am!! Faint I was so full that I had to pump - got 1 1/2 bottles full AFTER she nursed!! And I still feel a bit tender/fullish.

We sometimes co-sleep. She doesn't like to lie flat though, especially when she's congested. I think she's got another cold. Frown I also don't like to have her in the bed with us when we are both super exhausted. DH can sleep like a ton of bricks - and flops around a lot, so it scares me that we'll smother her and not wake up when we are that tired. A lot of nights we'll even co-sleep for part of it, and then the rest of the time in her little seat.

Well... I am going to have to get going. Need to shop a little, bake a cake, go crazy... yada yada... Smilie

Wish me a windshield day - I desperately need it! We are sooooo low on the grocery and gas budget and we've got another week to go.

Feeling better.

I'm stressed out a bit - too many financial worries. Feels like the bills are piling up! I even owe the library now.

Baby is not sleeping tonight. Frown She will fall asleep in my arms, but not in her swing, seat, or lying down - and if I manage to get her laid down she won't stay down. Not sure why. Frown
Ank..I usually don't post a lot of personal information about myself. I did want to say that I can relate to the financial woes. We are in the same boat. I usually sit at the computer and play eenie, meenie, miny, moe with the bills.

I can't overly complain though, because all the bills are paid..but I can't afford a new washing machine. It will have to wait a little longer and I must say I am gaining muscle in my arms from having to wring out the clothes. The washer washes and drains, it just don't spin.

As to owing the library..we owed a few months back. We usually borrow dvd's from our library, we were 2 days late returning, so we owed $2.00. I called and explained that we just didn't have it, is there anything we could do? I told them I would be willing to donate paper items from my stock pile in exchange for the waived fee and they did it!

Yes it was only $2.00 but at that time..we didn't have $2.00. It was pitiful, I was pitiful, but it worked out. So long story short.....hug
